Abstract

This research was conducted to see how variations in population pressure on paddy fields, variations in the carrying capacity of paddy fields and to determine the optimum population size in Batipuh District. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. This research was conducted in Batipuh District, carried out from September to October 2020. The data analysis technique was obtained through the analytical tool used to calculate population pressure using Prof. formula. Otto Soemarwoto model II. The results showed that Batipuh District had experienced population pressure (TP <1). The highest value of population pressure in Batipuh District was in the village of Bungo Tanjung (106.8), while the lowest value was in the village of Sabu (39.9). The results of the analysis of the carrying capacity of the land show that there are 5 villages that are able to meet the food needs of their residents properly, namely Andaleh, Sabu, Batipuh Baruah, Pitalah, Bungo Tanjung. There are 2 nagari that are in class II classification, namely the Batipuh Ateh village and the Gunung Rajo village. Nagari with class III classification is only found in Tanjung Barulak village, which means that the village has not been able to provide adequate food. Nagari whose population has not exceeded the optimum limit consists of 7 nagari, namely; nagari Bungo Tanjung, Pitalah, Gunung Rajo, Batipuh Baruah, Batipuh Ateh, Sabu and Andaleh. Nagari whose population has passed the optimum limit is the village of Tanjung Barulak. Key Words: Population Pressure, Land Carrying Capacity, Optimum Population

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of rainfall, soil type and slope on the production of tea plants and determine the marketing of PT. Mitra Kerinci, South Solok Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis and overlay method. The results showed that 1) Rainfall had no significant effect on tea plant production. The simple regression analysis model obtained is Y = 13864.282 + 0.743X, indicating that each increase in rainfall of 1 mm / year, there will be an increase in tea plant production by 0.743 tons. 2) The overlay results show that the type of soil and the slope of the slope affect the production of tea plants. The highest tea production has Andosol soil type with a slope of 8-15%, while the lowest has a Podsolic soil type with a slope of 0-8%. 3) Tea marketing of PT. Mitra Kerinci has spread across the islands of Java and Sumatra, with consumers mostly tea companies.

Abstract

Mapping of horticultural crops is needed to determine the amount of productivity that is affected by the dry and rainy seasons. The welfare of farmers can also be measured through this mapping. For this reason, in measuring the economic level of horticultural farmers by collecting quantitative data with several correspondents of horticultural farmers in the area of Banuhampu District. So, the yield of horticultural plant productivity from summer and winter that has the highest productivity value is onion plants, while the lowest productivity is during the rainy season and in summer. For land cultivation, horticultural farmers use two methods, namely primary and secondary methods, while the land used is privately owned with seeds and toxins financed independently. However, for fertilizer, part of it is subsidized by the government in the program of adulterating farmers. The income of horticultural plant farmers who are classified as very high are shallot farmers and those with the lowest group are dominated by leek farmers. Thus, the economic level of horticultural farmers can be measured and can be a reference for farmers to choose plants to plant according to the season to be. faced so as not to experience losses.

Abstract

Annisa Aulia Ali. FARMER GROUP PARTICIPATION IN INCREASING RICE PRODUCTIVITY IN AGRICULTURAL AREA, KOTO TANGAH DISTRICT IN 2020. Thesis, Padang: Faculty of Social Sciences. Padang State University. 2021 The aims of this study were (1) to determine the level of participation of farmer groups in the agricultural area of Koto Tangah District in 2020. (2) To calculate the productivity of rice plants in the agricultural area of Koto Tangah District in 2020. The research method used was a mixed method as the basic method. , namely quantitative descriptive supported by qualitative methods used both simultaneously or simultaneously. Data collection techniques in this study are questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is to use Sequential Exploratory Design, namely qualitative research is carried out first and then the results are analyzed, then continued with or used to build the second (quantitative) stage. The results of this study are (1) The level of participation of rice farmer groups in Koto Tangah District in 2020 as a whole is at a score with an interpretation based on intervals, which is sufficient, which is 61.2%. Some of the participations such as participation in meeting, planting paddy fields, harvesting and post-harvesting, extension activities, monitoring group activities, and measuring farming results received scores with high interpretations. And participation in decision-making activities as well as participation in contribution activities must get a score with sufficient interpretation. This illustrates that although 2020 was the year the COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia, the level of participation of farmer groups in increasing rice crop productivity was in good condition and running well. (2) There is a productivity level above the average yield of rice productivity according to the Padang City Agriculture Service in the Padang City Central Statistics Agency in 2020 for Koto Tangah District, which is >5.6 Tons/Year. The level of rice productivity in farmer groups in Koto Tangah District based on the results of research in the field, the highest was found in 4 groups of rice farmers, namely the Budi Sepakat, Berkah, Sikayan and Limpur Sepakat rice farmer groups which reached 12 tons/year. Meanwhile, the lowest rice productivity in farmer groups is found in Sawah Laweh and Banda Langik farmer groups which only reach 4 tons/year. Keywords: Participation, Agriculture, Productivity

Abstract

The success of the learning process is the core goal of education. The success of the learning process can be seen from several things, one of which is student learning motivation. Learning motivation plays an important role in achieving learning success, and it has the potential to affect learning interest, activeness, and learning outcomes. The existence of strong learning motivation will catapult students to success in learning. Students' low motivation to learn is a concern for researchers to solve. This study aims to increase student motivation through learning team games tournament (TGT). The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a quantitative-descriptive approach. The data collection technique used is to distribute questionnaires that will be filled out by students. This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Padang on geography subjects. The results of this study show that teams games tournament (TGT) can meet extrinsic learning motivation indicators. The level of fulfillment of all indicators is more than 60% and even reached 72%, such a percentage is classified as "Enough" and "Good". Teams games tournaments (TGT) can also increase students' extrinsic learning motivation. The learning can increase the percentage of students with “Medium” and “High” motivation to 80%.
