Abstract

This research discusses the dynamics and role of Islamic higher education (IHE) until the present era. This era is distinguished by the ongoing development of science and technology, among other factors. IHE have undergone significant institutional and other developments, playing a pivotal role during the Old Order (ORLA), New Order (ORBA), and Reformation eras. Since its inception, IHE has been an integral component of the national education system, its significance further reinforced by two pivotal legislative acts: Law No. 2 of 1989 and Law No. 20 of 2003. Consequently, PTAI is obligated to contribute to the development of the nation while concurrently assuming responsibility for addressing its challenges across various domains. The nation is currently in a period of significant disruption, marked by economic challenges and a growing reliance on debt, which has now reached over 8000 trillion. This situation is further compounded by the presence of tens of millions of poor individuals and other pressing issues. In this context, PTAI is tasked with cultivating a generation of students who are not only well-versed in a broad array of disciplines, but also possess the qualities of entrepreneurship, competence, and moral integrity. This objective is to be achieved through the integration of moral and ethical principles into the educational curriculum, imparted by educators. Upon their graduation, these students will become valuable contributors to the nation's development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and find out how the results of parenting activities in this institution are related to the development of the character of existing students. The management patterns carried out by the head of the school against parenting, as well as the obstacles and support that the institution has in developing the character of the child, are also the subject of this research. This research is conducted using qualitative research methods. Qualitative research methods are chosen because qualitative approaches serve to explore and understand the meaning of individuals or groups related to social problems that can later be used to interpret and gain an in-depth understanding of certain aspects of human beliefs, attitudes, or behavior. The subjects of the research are the head of the school as well as the head of the institute, parents, teachers, and students. To obtain the desired data, this research uses interview techniques, snowballing systems, documentation, and observations. The analysis is done using qualitative analysis. By conducting research through a qualitative approach during the fieldwork conducted for about three months, there are some conclusions related to the management of early childhood character development in this institution. The results obtained were that 1) management of early childhood character development was heavily influenced by the success of parenting or patterns of care carried out by parents during the home 2) Parenting was chosen as one of the strategies because it was judged very effective for the sustainability of child education throughout the home. 3) The obstacle that exists in the management of the development of early children's character is that the majority of pupils' guardians still have not mastered the existing parenting science.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of Theo-Humanism concept of God-centered to build humanized-God centered character in Islamic boarding school education of Tahfidz Al-Amien Prenduan, Sumenep, Madura. Applicating qualitative instrumental case study design involving 16 key respondents, consisting of students, teachers, and institutional stakeholders, selected through purposive sampling. The research explored field data through in-depth interviews with the key respondents, applying triangulation across time and methods to ensure data credibility. In addition, participatory observation was conducted throughout educational and instructional activities, with a primary focus on examining teacher–student relationships, analyzing curricular documents, and eliciting students’ experiential narratives. The findings indicate that the integration of Divine and human values is manifested in an integrated curriculum model that harmonizes naqli (revealed) and aqli (rational) forms of knowledge. This integration is grounded in a collaborative educational system implemented on a 24-hour basis under the close supervision of educators who function as murabbi, mudabbir, and khādim al-tarbiyah. Such an approach strengthens ethical and moral education based on Theo-Humanist principles, which serve as the fundamental foundation for shaping students’ character oriented toward their role as al-khalīfah fī al-arḍ (God’s vicegerents on earth) representing the highest recognition of human dignity in fulfilling life in the world.

Abstract

Abstract

The rapid expansion of online education necessitates robust Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) frameworks that integrate both objective learning analytics and subjective stakeholder feedback. This study investigates the implementation of CQI in online education by examining the predictive role of learning analytics indicators engagement frequency, course completion rate, and assessment performance on student satisfaction, while incorporating stakeholder feedback as a complementary dimension. A quantitative correlational design was employed with 145 participants (120 students, 25 instructors) from a higher education institution in Indonesia. Learning analytics data were extracted from the Learning Management System, and satisfaction was measured using a validated questionnaire. Multiple regression analysis revealed that course completion rate was the strongest predictor of satisfaction (β = 0.41, p < 0.01), followed by engagement frequency (β = 0.34, p < 0.01) and assessment performance (β = 0.22, p < 0.05). The model explained 64% of the variance in satisfaction (R² = 0.64). These findings underscore the importance of integrating behavioral, performance-based, and perceptual data to strengthen CQI frameworks. The study contributes to bridging the gap between objective system-generated data and subjective stakeholder feedback, demonstrating how their integration can provide a comprehensive framework for quality enhancement. By confirming that satisfaction is influenced not only by academic achievement but also by behavioral engagement and persistence, the study highlights the need for multidimensional monitoring in online education. The results provide strong empirical evidence that institutions should adopt data-driven continuous improvement strategies incorporating both analytics and satisfaction measures. This integration supports early identification of learning challenges and enhances institutional capacity to refine instructional design, improve learner support, and ultimately strengthen the quality of online education.
