Abstract

Sektor wilayah pesisir pantai menjadi daya tarik berupa ekowisata di Pantai Amal Kota Tarakan. Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga dan mengelola kelestarian wilayah pesisir masih menjadi problema utama dalam menjaga kelestarian wilayah pesisir pantai dengan program bersih pantai di Pantai Amal di Kota Tarakan.  Berdasarkan aksi nyata coastal clean up masyarakat Pantai amal diperoleh berbagai jenis sampai baik organik maupun anorganik. Adapun persentase kelimpahan sampah organik maupun anorganik yang diperoleh selama kegiatan coastal clean up. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat di dapatkan ada empat jenis sampah yang terdapat di Pantai Amal Lama yaitu Sampah dari warga/masyarakat setempat sebanyak 60,5kg dengan persentase sebesar 18,3% ; sampah dari wisatawan sebanyak 75,5kg dengan persentase sebesar 22,8% ; sampah dari Alam sebanyak 102kg dengan persentase sebesar 30,8% dan Sampah dari rumput laut sebanyak 93kg dengan persentase sebesar 28,1%.

Abstract

The city of Tarakan, Indonesia, benefits economically from abundant marine biological resources, one of which is the layur fish, known commercially as ribbonfish. The purpose of this study was to analyze the growth character of the layur fish (Lepturacanthus savala) obtained from the juata waters of Tarakan City.  The method of this quantitative and descriptive study was to analyze the growth of layur fish Lepturacanthus savala in the Juata waters off the coast from the city of Tarakan. Body shape, length, weight, and ratio sex data were collected from sites selected by the purposive sampling method based on trawl fishing catch. Secondary data, collected from interviews of fishing personnel, included the number of catches using trawling gear and trawl fishing location. The length ranges of male from 20,4 to 54,0 cm with an average length of 37,2±16.8 cm (n = 255) and the length ranges of female from 20,5 to 68 cm with an average length of  44,25±23.75 cm (n = 275). The results showed that maximum length of male layur fish was smaller than the maximum length of female fish, which were 59.352 cm at 267 d and 72.638 cm at 315 d, respectively. The result shows a negative allometric growth pattern male and female layur fish was found to be the same and sex ratio of male to female has a ratio of 1,0: 1,8 with a percentage of males at 48.11% and females at 51.89%. The majority of male and female fish exhibited a thin body shape (51,4% of male and 52% of female).

Abstract

The Mudskipper (P. barbarus) lives in intertidal mud flats and it becomes an indicator of water quality. The transformation of construction and water pollution in this area is important to investigate due to interaction of fishery industry, home residence, and market area surrounding areas. The aim of this research was to analyze the characteristic of Von Bertalanffy growth, allometric, condition index, and mortality of the P. barbarus in KKMB, Tarakan city. The research was designed by using descriptive quantitative method. The sampling process used purposive sampling. The sampling was conducted for 12 times plot.transect-1 in the extension area of KKMB, Tarakan city with a total area is 12 Ha, plot.transect-1area is 10x10 m2, and distance between each transect is 10 m2.  Sampling was carried out in survey area and laboratory to identify the gender and calculate total length and weight. The result showed the growth of male mudskipper (L∞ = 26.545 cm) and female (L∞ = 17.594 cm). Their size and the total population was decreased. The characteristic of male mudskipper growth was positive allometric, then female was negative allometric. The natural mortality and the catch of male mudskipper were higher than female.

Abstract

Fish Siganus (Siganus Sp) is one type of fish that have high economic value, especially rabbitfishes write (Siganus javus) because these fish have a tasty meat flavor and delicious and nutritious because they contain high protein which is around 35% - 46%. By looking at the potential importance of fish Siganus javus so it will need an appropriate management through research on fish Siganus javus order to remain sustainable existence. Research on rabbitfishes has actually done that is about how to feed and cultivation of Siganus javus and Siganus Canaliculatus, but research on aspects of reproductive and morphometric rabbitfishes write (Siganus javus) is rarely done. Fish sampling was conducted from January 2004 until December 2004 by using samples taken from catches of fishermen in the waters around Jepara. This research use descriptive research design. Data collected by sampling. Data obtained from the sampling results is an estimated data (estimate value). Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling. Based on the analysis of male fish from Demaan village, Jepara, where fish can reach a maximum length (L ∞) equal to 30.409 cm, while for female fish can reach a maximum length (L ∞) equal to 30.054 cm. Achieved by growth in rabbitfishes both male and female writing related to the availability of food in the surrounding waters in Jepara as a feeding ground or select one of the area as a place to seek food from rabbitfishes write (Siganus javus). The availability of adequate food, will make rabbitfishes writing can be grown. For the male fish will run faster growth from the age of 0-150 days, then will run very fast at the age of 150 days to 250 days age. Abstract

Estuaries or also known as ustuaria is the area of water bodies into a meeting between one or more rivers in coastal areas with marine areas. Juata Laut waters located in the northern part of Tarakan Island. These waters are a small part of the estuarine waters in this region, which connects the river Sesayap which is one of the major rivers located in the northern coastal region of North Kalimantan with the surrounding sea area. The purpose of this study was to determine the type and level comparison fishes diversity found in mangrove waters and traditional farms around the waters of Juata Laut Tarakan City North Kalimantan province. Types of fish found in the waters of the Sea of mangrove Juata as many as 23 types, while in pond waters around 19 species. Level of biodiversity of fish in mangrove waters and traditional farms around the waters of the Sea Juata classified in the spring rate which means it has a lower level of community stability. Keywords : Comparation, diversity, fishes.

Abstract

Siganus javus is one type of fish that has a lot of potential that is still not fully utilized where these fish contain protein which is high at around 69.2% (weight of wet) and 18.5% (weight of dry). The research objective is to analyze biotechnical of Model Growth absolute, allometri growth of Siganus javus. Methods of research using descriptive method. The scope of this study is the variable of growth absolute, the growth of allometri of Siganus javus. Data collection techniques using survey research design. Techniques of sampling Siganus javus using sampling with purposive sampling method. Capture as much as 12 times the sampling, each taking a maximum of 10 fish due to sampling of endemik is taking place so rarely found. The results obtained using the absolute growth in von Bertalanffy models Siganus javus of sex of male is Lt = 32,495 (1–2,718280.0091 ( t+2,091)) (r =0,627 dan n=59)  and than sex of female is Lt =  38,128 (1–2,71828- 0.0172 (t + 1,7889 ))(r =0,648 dan n=41). The models of growth allometri Siganus javus for sex of male obtained values b2.608 are allometri of negative and than for female sex obtained values b2.644 are allometri of negative.   Keywords : Siganus javus, growth of absolute, growth of Allometri, city of Tarakan

Abstract

Tempakul merupakan biota akuatik yang dapat hidup di darat selama kurang lebih 5 menit, biota ini memiliki ciri khas dibandingkan biota akuatik lainnya.Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis rasio kelamin dan kepadatan Tempakul (Periothalmusbarbarus) di KKMB Kota Tarakan.Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Variabel utama yang diamati adalah jenis kelamindan kepadatan populasi ikan Tempakul (Periopthalmus barbarus). Penentuan plot/transekmenggunakan metode purposivesampling. Transek ditempatkan 12 plot pengamatan dengan ukuran 10x10m2. Jarak dari masing-masing plot adalah10 m2.Pada plot yang telah ditentukan ikan Tempakul diamati dan dihitung jumlah berdasarkan jenisnya, pengamatan dilakukan pada waktu surut air laut. Penentuan alat kelamin ikan Tempakul jantan dewasa (ikan yang memiliki bentuk tubuh besar) dapat dilihat dari segi kopulasi yaitu bentuk kopulasinya lebih menonjol (nampak) dibandingkan dengan ikan Tempakul betina dewasa.Sedangkan untuk menentukan jenis kelamin ikan Tempakul yang memiliki ukuran yang lebih kecil dapat dilihat dari bagian kepala depannya, dimana ikan Tempakul jantan memiliki cekungan yang menonjol dibandingkan ikan Tempakul betina. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rasio kelamin jenis kelamin jantan dan betina, yaitu 1 : 1,19. Kepadatan Periopthalmus barbarus tertinggi yaitu sebesar 0,51 Ind./m2 dan terendah yaitu 0,17 Ind./m2.

Abstract

Banyak masyarakat nelayan di Desa Salimbatu menggunakan alat tangkap pukat belanak dengan hasil tangkapan utama ikan belanak sebagai salah satu mata pencaharian di Desa Salimbatu Kecamatan Tanjung Palas, Kabupaten Bulungan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kelayakan usaha nelayan alat tangkap pukat belanak. Metode penelitian menggunakan desktiptif kuantitatif. Metode pengambilan sampel dan data penelitian dilakukan selama 3 bulan dari November 2018 – Januari 2019 dengan survei lapangan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara dengan bantuan kuesioner. Analisis finansial digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis tingkat pendapatan nelayan untuk investasi sebesar Rp10.009.700,- dan penerimaan sebesar Rp14.252.250,-/bulan dengan biaya total produksi sebesar Rp5.087.008,-. Keuntungan tiap bulan sebesar Rp9.573.242,-. Analisis usaha diketahui nilai BEP 15 Kg/hari dan 450 kg/bulan, ROI per bulan dan per hari 1,802 dan Nilai Benefit Cost Ratio (R/C) rata-rata 3,75. Rekomendasi kebijakan analisis tersebut memiliki nilai positif dan layak untuk dijalankan.Title: Business Feasibility Analysis of ‘Pukat Belanak’ Fishers in the Salimbatu Village, Tanjung Palas Tengah Sub Regency of Bulungan RegencyThere are a lot of gillnet fishers for mullet fish in Salimbatu Village as one of the asset of livelihood in Salimbatu Village, Tanjung Palas District, Bulungan Regency. The research objective was to determine the business feasibility of gillnet fishing. The research used quantitative descriptive method. Data were collected for three months in November 2018 to January 2019 with a field survey through observation and interview questionnaires. Financial analysis was used in this research. The analysis resulted the fishers’ income level for investment was IDR10,009,700,00, revenue of IDR14,252,250,00/month with a total production cost of IDR5,087,008,00. The monthly profit is IDR9,573,242,00. The business analysis determined the calculation of BEP is 15 kgs/day and 450 kgs/month, ROI per month and 1.802 per day, and the average cost ratio (R/C) is 3.75. The study recommended that the business have positive values and are worth undertaken.

Abstract

Perairan Pulau Bangkudulis merupakan daerah estuaria dengan tingkat keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi. Kondisi ini berpotensi memiliki nilai ekonomi dalam kegiatan perikanan tangkap yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan lestari. Potensi pemanfaatan perikanan salah satunya yaitu dengan menggunakan alat tangkap sero (set net) yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Tana Tidung, Kalimantan Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sosial ekonomi dan tingkat keramahan lingkungan alat tangkap sero (set net) yang dilakukan di perairan Pulau Bangkudulis Kabupaten Tana Tidung, Kalimantan Utara dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei dan wawancara, sementara itu teknik penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari sisi sosial ekonomi, alat tangkap sero merupakan salah satu alat tangkap yang menguntungkan bagi nelayan di Kabupaten Tana Tidung karena tidak bertentangan dengan budaya setempat dan tidak bertentangan dengan peraturan yang ada. Sero masuk ke dalam kategori alat tangkap yang berkelanjutan terhadap sumberdaya kelautan dan perikanan. Pemanfaatan alat tangkap sero (set net) dalam kegiatan perikanan tangkap di Pulau Bangkudulis mempunyai bobot 27,71, nilai ini masuk dalam kategori ramah lingkungan. Dimana alat tangkap sero tersebut telah memenuhi 3 kriteria tingkat keramahan lingkungan yaitu X2 tidak merusak lingkungan, X5 produksi tidak membahayakan konsumen dan X7 dampak terhadap biodiversitas.Titled: Socio Economic and Environmental Friendliness Analysis Set net Fishing Gear in The Waters of Bangkudulis Island, Tana Tidung Regency, North KalimantanThe waters of Bangkudulis Island is an estuary area with high marine biodiversity level. One of the fisheries utilization potential is by using set net fishing gear that conducted by community in Tana Tidung District. This research aimed to obtain environmental friendliness level using set net fishing gear in the waters of Bangkudulis Island Tana Tidung regency North Kalimantan by using quantitative descriptive approachment. Data collection technique was conducted by using survey and interview, while sampling technique was conducted by using purposive sampling. The result show that from socio-economic aspect, set net fishing gear is a profitable fishing gear for the fishermen in Tana Tidung Regency because it’s in line with local culture and existing regulation. Set net is categorized in the category of sustainable marine and fisheries resources fishing gear. The fisheries utilization by using set net in Bangkudulis Island has value of 27.71 and categorized in the category of environmentally friendly. Where the set net fishing gear meets three criteria of environmental friendliness namely X2 not damage the environment, X5 the production does not harm the consumers, and X7 impact to the biodiversity.

Abstract

The aim of the research are analyzing the growth model using Von Bertalanffy and mortality in Polynemus taeniatus.  Research methods a descriptive kuantitatif by using the case study. Determining the location of sampling are purposive sampling, by following fishing boats Drift Gill Net. Sampling funded every two weeks once upon a huge tide. Data collection techniques using survey. Data retrieval in the form of total length and total weight. The samples from 4 (times) for 3 months. Each sample taking having vulnerable time between 2-5 day in bunyu waters. Research results use the model von bertalanffy obtained maximum length fish kurau (p.taeniatus) is 156,794 cm in 349 days. Value K of 0.0364 cm.  Value To of -1,2819 cm. The results of data processing of fish catch kurau (P.taeniatus) obtained by mortalitas natural 0,435; mortalitas total of 1.121; mortalitas arrest of 0,6859; the exploitation of fish kurau 0,61.
