Abstract

Kuda Lumping or ébég is a typical Sundanese traditional dance that requires the presence of spontaneity when it is played. In it, the elements of profane from the dance and the elements of sacred from its rituals are combined as a medium for the manifestation of the spiritual to the material. It is said that spiritual power is present in the human world through this spontaneity. This is why trance often occurs in the riders of Kuda Lumping as a medium for the presence of spiritual power. The Sundanese people with the Tri Tangtu philosophy believe that mediation through Kuda Lumping is a way for the community to communicate with Sang Hyang or Batara Tunggal. In this paper, the exploration of cultural hermeneutic studies on the Kuda Lumping dance will be discussed based on the dimensions of Tri Tangtu.

Abstract

The increase in rocket Artillery accuracy means there will be fewer rockets to be used to destroy a target. This could reduce the needed budget and risk of weapon mobilization. Therefore, this research investigates the advancement in the guidance system technology for Artillery rockets, especially for 122-140 mm caliber. The objective of the research is to find a direction for the development guidance system for the Indonesian Artillery rocket (RHAN). The research use the descriptive-analytic method, in which data was collected from literature studies and inductive analysis was performed. The data shows two kinds of actuators were used, a canard and thrusters. In canard mode, 2 strategies were used, i.e. with bearing to isolate the roll from the rocket, in which 5 control algorithms were used, and without bearing, which 2 control algorithms were used. In thruster mode, there was 5 control algorithms used. Further analysis shows that the best performance is obtained from 2 modes of the canard strategy with bearing, and 2 modes of the thruster strategy. Therefore, it is concluded that the 4 modes can be used to be implemented in RHAN which needs to be added to the control system.

Abstract

The Angle of Pull (AOP) is an essential concept in physiotherapy since it determines the efficiency of rehabilitation exercises by ensuring targeted muscle engagement and optimal force application. Therefore, precise quantification of AOP as well as identification of Range of Motion (ROM) and resistance points is critical when establishing appropriate rehabilitation strategies. However, traditional methods like the universal goniometer are most used but there are certain limitations such as the parallax error and inter-rater variability which can impact the precision required in clinical settings. This mini review examines the foundational elements of ROM, baseline muscle strength, and the resistor point in determining AOP. It also assesses the strength and weakness of the available tools, like the digital HALO goniometer and the AnglePro which is the goniometer that also has laser pointer for identifying the point of resistance. Despite technological advancements, current devices still exhibit significant limitations such as high costs, dependency on traditional goniometers, and lack of comprehensive functionality. The review points out the need for a new precise device that could capture the ROM, AOP and identify specific resistance points as effectively as a digital device but at a lower cost. Such innovations would facilitate the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of physiotherapy practice to improve patient results. Moreover, further exploration in this area is needed to eliminate the current shortcomings and develop the above strategies.

Abstract

Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak's classic question, "Can the subaltern speak?" challenges not only the silence produced by colonialism and patriarchy, but also the way modern academic discourse establishes representations of "the other" as a technique of knowledge governance. This article revisits Spivak's argument and the subsequent reflections compiled by Rosalind C. Morris, then integrates them with the contemporary Indonesian context, particularly in the "Indonesia Gelap 2025" demonstration. Using a Cultural Studies approach and a hermeneutic-deconstructive framework, this paper examines how subaltern voices, which often appear as traces, cracks, or performances, attempt to negotiate audibility amid established representational apparatus. The main arguments of this article are: (1) subalternity is not an essential category, but rather a position in power relations that closes access to audibility; (2) "speaking" is not merely a vocal action, but rather an event of recognition in a discursive field that is often curated by the dominant party; (3) in the context of "Indonesia Gelap 2025," various symbolic, performative, and curatorial strategies (ranging from slogans, mass choreography, to happening art) reveal the politics of hearing: who has the right to hear, interpret, and decide. In turn, this article proposes an ethics of listening that transforms the scheme of "giving voice" into a practice of reading-listening that is sensitive to the unspeakable, thus opening up the possibility for subaltern agents to "speak back" without being immediately co-opted by the dominant voice.

Abstract

Abstract

Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) is one of Indonesia’s leading agricultural commodities, with West Lampung serving as a major production center. Besides its economic significance, robusta coffee has garnered scientific attention due to its potential as a source of bioactive compounds. Among these, flavonoids stand out for their well-documented antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties, making them highly relevant for applications in cosmetic and personal care products, particularly in hair care formulations. Flavonoids are known to play a crucial role in maintaining scalp health, preventing oxidative damage to hair follicles, and promoting overall hair vitality. This study aimed to investigate the phytochemical profile and quantify the total flavonoid content in Coffea canephora bean extract originating from West Lampung. Phytochemical screening was conducted qualitatively to detect the presence of secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, tannins, saponins, and flavonoids. For the quantification of total flavonoid content, a UV-Visible spectrophotometric method was employed, using quercetin as the standard reference compound. The extract was first macerated with 96% ethanol, followed by filtration and evaporation to obtain a concentrated sample. The results revealed the presence of key bioactive compounds, including tannins, saponins, and notably, flavonoids. The total flavonoid content was found to be 784 mg QE/g extract. These findings support the potential utilization of Coffea canephora from West Lampung as a functional raw material in cosmetic formulations, particularly for hair care products aimed at protecting against oxidative stress and enhancing scalp and hair health. Further studies are recommended to explore the extract’s mechanism of action and its compatibility in cosmetic bases.

Abstract

Background: Dental panoramic radiography (Orthopantomogram/OPG) is a fundamental modality in dentistry. However, the high cost of imported OPG devices hinders widespread access in Indonesia. To support the national Medical Device Independence program (Kemandirian Alat Kesehatan), a cost-effective solution utilizing standard sensors with advanced software reconstruction is proposed. This study aims to evaluate the performance of a custom-built stitching software using Feature Matching and Pyramidal Decomposition algorithms to reconstruct panoramic images from limited Field of View (FOV) sensors. Methods: This experimental study developed a Python-based imaging pipeline utilizing OpenCV. The process included preprocessing with Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE), followed by a comparative analysis of feature detectors: Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT), Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF (ORB), and Accelerated-KAZE (AKAZE). To ensure seamless anatomical transition, image fusion was performed using Pyramidal Decomposition (Multi-band Blending). Performance was measured using Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), Mean Squared Error (MSE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), and computation time. The dataset consists of digital panoramic images that were segmented into several partial images with an overlap of 20–30% to simulate the acquisition process of a moving sensor in an OPG system. Results: Quantitative evaluation demonstrated distinct performance characteristics. SIFT achieved the highest diagnostic quality with an SSIM of 0.99, PSNR of 38.77 dB, and RMSE of 2.94, proving its superiority in preserving trabecular bone details. ORB provided the fastest processing time at 0.20 seconds but with significantly lower image fidelity (SSIM 0.84, PSNR 26.39 dB). AKAZE showed the lowest performance in this dataset (SSIM 0.75). Conclusions: The integration of SIFT and Pyramidal Decomposition provides a robust software solution for digital panoramic reconstruction, achieving near-perfect structural similarity (0.99). While ORB allows for real-time preview, SIFT is recommended for final diagnostic imaging in low-cost, indigenous dental imaging systems.
