Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding vitamin C in artificial feed and the optimum dose to the growth of snakehead fish seeds. The research method used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were: A (giving vitamin C at a dose of 50 mg/kg of feed), B (giving vitamin C at a dose of 100 mg/kg of feed), C (giving vitamin C at a dose of 150 mg/kg of feed), D ( giving vitamin C at a dose of 200 mg/kg of feed). The results showed that the highest average biomass growth was obtained in treatment D with a dose of vitamin C 200 mg/kg of feed, the increase in biomass reached 3.04 grams. While the lowest growth was obtained in treatment A with a dose of vitamin C 50 mg/kg of feed resulting in an average growth of 1.09 grams. The results of the analysis of variance on the growth of snakehead fish seed biomass showed that the calculated F value was greater than F table 1% and 5%. The range of water temperature during the study was between 27 -30 o C, water pH ranged from 7.4-7.6 and dissolved oxygen in water (DO) ranged from 4.2-4.9 mg/l. Abstract

Research objective to find out the optimal growth of milkfish seeds by giving probiotic with different doses.This research was conducted on Agust 15 th– September 14th, 2020 and is located at Marine and Brackish Water Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries, Pekalongan University. The test fish used in this study was the 2,5 cm milkfish seeds obtained from fish farm’s from Pekalongan City. The research was carried out on a laboratory scale and the experimental design applied was completetely randomized design (CRD) which included 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely A (control), B (5 ml/kg of feed), C (10 ml/kg feed), D (15 ml/kg feed) and E (20 ml/kg feed). In order to find out the response ofthe growth of milk fish seeds to the addition of probiotic with different doses, a tukey test was performed. The highest growth of milkfish was obtained in treatment D that was 10,82gr, then followed by treatment C was 9,97gr, treatment B was 9,38gr, treatment E was 8,99gr and the lowest was in treatment A which was 7,73 gr. The results of the analysis of variance is known that the calculated F value is greater than the F table, which means the addition of probiotic with different doses has a very significant effect on the growth of milkfish seeds. Abstract

           The purpose of this study was to discover the growth response of gift, larasati and sultana tilapia to fields affected by tidal flood, to discover the impact of economic value toward tilapia harvest. The study was conducted in  15 June 2012 – 13 April 2013 in fields impacted by tidal flood in Pecakaran Village Wonokerto Sub-District Pekalongan Regency. Test fishes used were seeds of gift tilapia, larasati tilapia and sultana tilapia with average length 5 - 7 cm. Seeds of gift tilapia, larasati tilapia and sultana tilapia. Stocking density for every hapa sized 100 x 100 x 100 cm was 20 seeds. Data collecte included data of water quality and growth. Water quality parameters measured  were temperature, oxygen, pH, depth, brightness and salinity which were measured every week. Data of tilapia growth was analyzed using variant analysis and to discover tilapia type which yielded the best growth tukey test was used. Data of water quality was analyzed descriptively. The result showed that unproductive fields due to tidal flood could still be used for tilapia cultivation, different test tilapia strain used had significant influence on the growth of test tilapia, larasati tilapia had the highest growth (95.61 gr/day), followed by gift tilapia (90.04 gr/day) and the lowest was sultana tilapia (46.07 gr/day), average water quality (water temperature and pH) of culture media during the study was in adequate range for the live and growth of test tilapia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the decrease in media salinity on survival rates of grouper fish and determine the relationship between the survival rate of the cantang grouper and the level of decrease in media salinity in the acclimation process.The study was conducted in June 2018 at the Brackish and Sea Water Laboratory of Pekalongan University in Pekalongan. The test fish used was a cantang grouper with a size of 3-5 cm. This cantang grouper juvenille is obtained from the Situbondo Marine Cultivation Center. The design used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment applied was a decrease in the level of media salinity as follows: 2 ppt/hour, 4 ppt/hour, 6 ppt/hour and 8 ppt/hour. The survival rate of the grouper fish is analyzed using variance analysis. Furthermore, an orthogonal polynomial analysis was performed to correlate the survival rate of the grouper fish to the level of decrease in media salinity.The highest survival rate of the grouper grouper was obtained at a level of decrease in salinity of 2 ppt/hour ie 91.67%, then a decrease in salinity of 4 ppt/hour ie 61.11%, a decrease in salinity of 6 ppt/hour ie 46.67% , and the lowest at a decrease in salinity of 8 ppt/hour which is 25%.The results of the variance analysis revealed that the level of decrease in media salinity had a very significant effect on the survival rate of bushy groupers. The results of orthogonal polynomial analysis showed that the relationship between the survival rate of the grouper fish to the level of decreasing salinity of linear media with the equation: Y = 109.72 - 10.72 X (R2 = 0.97) (R2 = 0.97).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of different stock density in plastic ponds for the production of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The method used in this research is explorative by focusing on case studies. Different stock density in this research were 60,72,80 shrimps/m2. Result showed that stock density 84 shrimps/m2 gives the best production. The highest survival rate (SR) was obtained in stocking solids of 60 shrimp /m2 around 94%. The smallest feed conversion value occurs in stocking stock 60 shrimps/m2 of 1.28. Water quality parameters for research is still in the range of optimum temperature about 27.8 to 31.3 °C, dissolved oxygen (DO) 6.7 to 8.1 ppm, pH 7.8 to 8.5, salinity 31,9- 33.9 ppt and brightness from 30.3 to 35.3 cm.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding honey to the feed for growth and the best dosage for the growth of white snapper seeds.The white snapper seeds used have an average weight of ± 2.5 g / fish.This study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD).The experiment was carried out in 5 (five) treatments and each treatment had 3 (three) repetitions.The treatment consisted of adding honey to the feed with a treatment dose of (A) 0 ml / kg of feed, (B) 50 ml / kg of feed, (C) 100 ml / kg of feed, (D) 150 ml / kg of feed and (E) 200 ml / kg of feed.The results indicated that the addition of honey to the feed had a significant effect on the growth of white snapper seeds.The best dose of honey is at a dose of 200 ml / kg which has the best effect on fish growth.The condition of water quality during the study was in a suitable range for the life of white snapper seeds.

Abstract

The aim of research is to determine the optimal dose of fertilizer so that it can produce the maximum population growth. This research using Complete Random Design (RAL) method with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. As the treatment is a dose of chicken manure (25%) and quail (75%), the dose oftreatment A 0 gr/L, treatment B 2 gr/L, treatment C 4 gr/L and D treatment 6 gr/L. Based on the results of the experiment, treatment D showed the highest results (1188,33 Ind/L), then followed by treatment C (10440,00 Ind/L), treatment B (9216,67 Ind/L) and treatment A (5440,00 Ind/L), while the responseof the population growth of Daphnia sp. to doses of chicken and quail manure in a culture media showedpolinier with the equation Y = 5939.33 + 1055.5 X (R2 = 0.96). TheCondition of water qualityduring a research is still apropiate for supporting life and population growth of Daphnia sp.The temperature during the research was 26-28,5C, DO was 2,4-3,8 mg / l, and pH was 6, 5-8, 9.Keywords: Daphnia Sp, Culture, Chicken manure, quail manure, water quality.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji penggunaan tepung fermentasi kotoran  ayam dengan tepung ikan rucah yang menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan benih lele sangkuriang terbaik. Materi dan metode penelitian, Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih lele sangkuriang (Clarias sp.) ukuran 6 –7 cm dan bobot tubuh 3,5 ± 0,11 g.Padat penebaran yang digunakan dalam setiap wadah adalah 200 ekor/m3 dengan padat penebaran untuk masing-masing wadah 50 ekor/wadah.Pakanuji yang diberikan selama penelitian adalah pakan berbentuk pelet kering menggunakan sumber protein dari ikan rucah dan fermentasi kotoran ayam dengan persentase perbandingan berbeda yaitu A (70:30); B (60:40); C (50;50) dan D (40:60).   Pemberian pakan uji 3% dari bobotbiomassa ikan serta diberikan 3 kali sehari pada pukul 07.00, 12.00, dan 17.00. Wadah uji yang digunakan terbuat dari terpal sebanyak 12 buah yang berbentuk persegi (0,5 x 0,5 x 0,5m3). Data yang diteliti meliputi pertumbuhan biomassamutlak (G),laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR),kelulushidupan (SR), konversi pakan (FCR), dan protein efisiensi rasio (PER). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak terjadi perbedaan yang terlalu jauh antara laju pertumbuhan mutlak,  laju pertumbuhan spesifik, tingkat kelulushidupan, FCR, rasio efisiensi dan pemanfaatan protein pada setiap perlakuan. Tetapi pakan perlakuan A (70:30) memiliki hasil riset yang lebih baik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya, yakni dengan tingkat pertumbuhan terbaik (pertumbuhan biomassa mutlak sebesar 163,167 g dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik sebesar 1,626) dengan kelulusan hidupan 83,33%. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pakan A (70% tepung ikan rucah dan 30% tepung fermentasi kotoran ayam) dapat memberikan tingkat pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan terbaik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya.Kata Kunci :Ikan rucah, kotoran ayam, Lele sangkuriang, Clarias sp., PakanABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to examine the use of fermented chicken manure flour with trash fish meal which produced the best growth and survival of sangkuriang catfish seeds. Research materials and methods. The test fish used were sangkuriang catfish (Clarias sp.) Seeds with a size of 6–7 cm and a body weight of 3.5 ± 0.11 g. The stocking density used in each container is 200 birds / m3 with the stocking density for each container 50 birds / container. The test feed given during the study was dry pellet form using protein sources from trash fish and chicken manure fermentation with different percentage ratios, namely A (70:30); B (60:40); C (50; 50) and D (40:60). The test feed was given 3% of the weight of fish biomass and was given 3 times a day at 07.00, 12.00, and 17.00. The test container used was made of 12 square tarpaulin pieces (0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m3). The data studied included absolute biomass growth (G), specific growth rate (SGR), survival rate (SR), feed conversion (FCR), and protein efficiency ratio (PER). The results showed that there was no significant difference between absolute growth rate, specific growth rate, survival rate, FCR, efficiency ratio and protein utilization in each treatment. However, treatment A (70:30) had better research results than other treatments, namely with the best growth rate (absolute biomass growth of 163.167 g and specific growth rate of 1.626) with a survival rate of 83.33%. Thus, it can be concluded that feed A (70% trash fish meal and 30% chicken manure fermented flour) can provide the best fish growth and survival rates compared to other treatments.Keywords :Trash feed, chick manure, sangkuriang catfish, Clarias sp., Feed

Abstract

Ikan nila salin (O. Niloticus) merupakan komoditas perikanan yang saat ini banyak dibudidayakan masyarakat di Indonesia. Upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi ikan nila salin adalah penggunaan prebiotik ekstrak terong asam dalam pakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan ekstrak terong asam dalam pakan buatan terhadap pertumbuhan, dan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan ikan nila salin serta untuk mengetahui dosis ekstrak terong asam dalam pakan yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan terbaik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metoda eksperimen laboratorium berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Sebagai perlakuan adalah dosis penggunaan ekstrak terong asam dalam pakan buatan, yaitu B (10 ml/kg pakan), C (20 ml/kg pakan), D (30 ml/kg pakan) dan E (40 ml/kg pakan), dan A (0 ml/kg pakan), sebagai kontrol. Pakan diberikan 3 kali sehari sebesar 5% dari biomassa ikan per hari. Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih ikan nila salin berukuran sekitar 3 ± 0.55 cm, berat individu 0.05 ± 0.63 g. Ikan uji ini ditebar dengan kepadatan 1ekor per l kedalam wadah  yang berisi air 5 L, dengan salinitas 20 ppt. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan ikan nila salin. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan digunakan Uji Tukey untuk mengetahui dosis ekstrak terong asam dalam pakan yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan ekstrak terong asam dengan dosis berbeda berpengaruh sangat nyata (P≤0.05) terhadap pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan ikan nila salin. Pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan ikan nila salin tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan dosis pemberian ekstrak terong asam sebesar 30 ml/kg pakan.Kata kunci: Efisiensi Pakan, Ekstrak Terong Asam, Nila Salin, Pertumbuhan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pakan fermentasi bungkil kedelai terhadap pertumbuhan biomassa udang vaname. Metode penelitian ini adalah experimental laboratoris menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan pakan komersil 25% dan fermentasi bungkil kedelai 75% (A), pakan komersil 50% dan fermentasi bungkil kedelai 50% (B), pakan komersil 75% dan fermentasi bungkil kedelai 25% (C), pakan komersil 100% (D), fermentasi bungkil kedelai 100% (E) dengan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa persentase pakan fermentasi bungkil kedelai terhadap pertumbuhan udang berpengaruh nyata (F hit > F tab). Perlakuan terbaik pada persentase 25%(C) dengan pertumbuhan biomass sebesar 1,23 gram, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan 82,46% dan FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio)  1,21. Kata kunci : udang vaname, fermentasi bungkil kedelai, pertumbuhan, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan, FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio).ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of soybean for growth, vaname shrimp. The method of this research is experimental laboratory method, using Completely Randomized Design (CRD), comprises 25% commercial feed treatment and 75% (A) soybean meal fermentation, 50% commercial feed and 50% (B) soybean fermentated feed, 75% commercial feed and fermentation and 25% (C) soybean feed, 100% (D) commercial feed, 100% (E) soybean meal fermentation with 3 replications. The results obtained shows that the percentage of soybean fermented feed on shrimp growth has a significant effect (F hit> F tab). The best treatment is at the percentage of 25% (C) with a biomass weight of 1.23 grams, 82.46% of feed utilization efficiency and FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio) of 1.21. Keywords:vaname shrimp, soybean fermented feed, growth, feed utilization efficiency, FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio).
