Abstract

Muslim-friendly tourism has emerged as a rapidly growing segment in the global tourism industry, driven by the increasing number of Muslim travelers seeking services that align with Islamic values. However, the development of this sector still faces fragmented coordination among stakeholders and the lack of a comprehensive collaborative framework. This study aims to review and map the scientific literature on the development of Muslim-friendly tourism using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and to analyze the integration of the Hepta Helix model in its management practices. The Hepta Helix model involves seven key stakeholders—government, academia, business actors, community, media, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and technology—as strategic elements in shaping an inclusive and sustainable halal tourism ecosystem. This study examines articles published between 2021 and 2024, sourced from databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and ERIC, using keywords including “Muslim-friendly tourism,” “halal tourism,” and “Hepta Helix.” The findings indicate that most studies remain focused on conceptual aspects and basic halal tourism services, while collaborative integration among actors within the Hepta Helix framework is still rarely discussed explicitly. These results highlight an urgent need for strengthened cross-sector coordination, supportive regulation, and the utilization of digital technology to enhance the competitiveness of halal tourism at both local and global levels. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more integrative policy and research directions in the field of Islamic value-based tourism studies.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of e-commerce in Indonesia, especially the Shopee platform, which is one of the largest marketplaces in Southeast Asia. In a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem, it's important to identify the factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of convenience, product quality, price, and promotion on purchase decisions at Shopee Berkah using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The research method used was quantitative with purposive sampling technique, involving 100 UINSU student respondents who had shopped at Shopee Berkah. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of online questionnaires, and data analysis using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results showed that the price and quality of the product had a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision, with t-statistical values of 13.005 and 3.151 respectively (p-value < 0.05). Meanwhile, the convenience and promotion variables did not show a significant influence with p-values of 0.306 and 0.937, respectively. The research model was able to explain 84.8% of the variation in consumer purchasing decisions. In conclusion, in the context of Shopee Berkah, price and product quality are the main factors that affect consumer purchase decisions, while ease of use and promotional strategies have not shown a significant influence.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the perception of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the Simpang Limun Medan Market towards BPJS Employment as a form of social security. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research, where the data must be in the form of descriptive information with theories developed based on the data obtained. This research was carried out at the Simpang Limun Market in Medan. There are 350 MSME actors, the author selected 13 informants of MSME actors to be interviewed. Of these 13 informants, only 4 people are members of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Data collection was carried out by observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews.  The data analysis method used in this study is the Miles and Huberman model, which is based on data reduction, namely summarizing, focusing on important aspects, selecting relevant data, and simplifying so that it affects conclusions and verification. The data validity technique is used triangulation by comparing various sources of information. The results of the study show that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the Simpang Limun Market still have low awareness of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Observations in the field show that most MSME actors in Pasar Simpang Limun do not have adequate social security protection, which makes them vulnerable to social and economic risks. Lack of information, cost constraints, and complicated registration procedures are the main factors that hinder their participation in this social security program. In addition, limited access to BPJS offices and negative experiences in filing claims also worsened their perception of the benefits of this program. There needs to be a more effective effort to increase awareness and involvement of MSME actors in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the critical points of sharia compliance with Murabahah financing products for motorbikes to State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) in the pre offering letter program at PT Bank SUMUT Sharia Business Unit at the time of pre-contract, during the contract and after the contract. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research results show that. When the contract is based on the principle that Bank Sumut Syariah Business Unit as the facilitator or seller must receive the goods from the supplier before the goods are sold to the buyer (customer) as inventory ready to be sold at acquisition cost. Then, after the contract is seen, the ownership status of the goods before being sold to the customer becomes a crucial point for deviations from murabahah contract practices . Therefore, improvements should be made to the practice flow of murabahah financing contracts with the main objective of securing sharia principles in terms of possession of goods, including the required documents. Bearing in mind, this is the critical point for the occurrence of slight deviations/confusion in the practice of murabahah contracts .

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing muamalah principles and Sharia accounting literacy on the financial performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with Sharia compliance as an intervening variable. The research was conducted among MSME actors in the Medan Petisah subdistrict, involving 322 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data analysis employed Structural Equation Modeling with a Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The results show that the implementation of muamalah principles has a significant positive effect on financial performance but a negative effect on Sharia compliance. In contrast, Sharia accounting literacy has a direct negative effect on financial performance but contributes positively to Sharia compliance. Sharia compliance itself has a very strong influence on improving the financial performance of MSMEs. Path analysis reveals that Sharia compliance significantly mediates the relationship between both independent variables and financial performance. The mediation is competitive in the case of muamalah principles and complementary in the case of Sharia accounting literacy. These findings imply the importance of integrating Islamic values with structured Sharia compliance systems and institutional support to develop a sustainable Sharia-based MSME business model.
