Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of public understanding and trust levels on low fintech-based financial inclusion in Asahan Regency. The phenomenon of inequality between high digital penetration and low fintech adoption in rural areas is the main research background. The approach used is quantitative with a survey method of 100 respondents spread across 25 sub-districts, using a Likert scale-based questionnaire instrument. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software with the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach. The results of the study indicate that public understanding and trust have a significant influence on digital financial inclusion. This is proven through hypothesis testing with t-statistic values above 1.96 and p-value <0.05, respectively. The R-Square value of 0.488 indicates that the two independent variables explain almost all of the variation in financial inclusion. These findings strengthen the Technology Acceptance Model theory and consumer trust theory, and emphasize the importance of literacy strategies and consumer protection in supporting financial inclusion. This study also develops a micro index of fintech inclusion based on the dimensions of access, use, and service quality. These findings are expected to be the basis of policies for local governments, regulators, and industry players in expanding inclusive finance in remote areas more effectively

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of public Understanding and Trust on the low Financial Inclusion of Medan City residents in using mobile banking in the cashless society era. A quantitative approach was employed, using a survey technique with questionnaires distributed to 100 randomly selected respondents based on the Slovin formula. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0, with validity, reliability, and path analysis tests. The results reveal that public Understanding (digital financial literacy) and Trust significantly and positively influence Financial Inclusion through mobile banking adoption in Medan City. Despite improvements in technological infrastructure and access, challenges remain in user knowledge and trust in financial technology. Public Understanding, which encompasses both technical use and the ability to make informed financial decisions, was found to be a key determinant. Trust in digital financial services, influenced by factors such as data security, transaction clarity, and transparency, also plays a crucial role in encouraging mobile banking use. Statistical analysis indicates that these variables explain 48.8% of the variation in Financial Inclusion, aligning with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Trust-Based Acceptance Model (TBAM), as well as previous studies

Abstract

Muslim-friendly tourism has emerged as a rapidly growing segment in the global tourism industry, driven by the increasing number of Muslim travelers seeking services that align with Islamic values. However, the development of this sector still faces fragmented coordination among stakeholders and the lack of a comprehensive collaborative framework. This study aims to review and map the scientific literature on the development of Muslim-friendly tourism using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and to analyze the integration of the Hepta Helix model in its management practices. The Hepta Helix model involves seven key stakeholders—government, academia, business actors, community, media, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and technology—as strategic elements in shaping an inclusive and sustainable halal tourism ecosystem. This study examines articles published between 2021 and 2024, sourced from databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and ERIC, using keywords including “Muslim-friendly tourism,” “halal tourism,” and “Hepta Helix.” The findings indicate that most studies remain focused on conceptual aspects and basic halal tourism services, while collaborative integration among actors within the Hepta Helix framework is still rarely discussed explicitly. These results highlight an urgent need for strengthened cross-sector coordination, supportive regulation, and the utilization of digital technology to enhance the competitiveness of halal tourism at both local and global levels. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more integrative policy and research directions in the field of Islamic value-based tourism studies.

Abstract

Of these 13 informants, only 4 people are members of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Data collection was carried out by observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews.  The data analysis method used in this study is the Miles and Huberman model, which is based on data reduction, namely summarizing, focusing on important aspects, selecting relevant data, and simplifying so that it affects conclusions and verification. The data validity technique is used triangulation by comparing various sources of information. The results of the study show that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the Simpang Limun Market still have low awareness of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Observations in the field show that most MSME actors in Pasar Simpang Limun do not have adequate social security protection, which makes them vulnerable to social and economic risks. Lack of information, cost constraints, and complicated registration procedures are the main factors that hinder their participation in this social security program. In addition, limited access to BPJS offices and negative experiences in filing claims also worsened their perception of the benefits of this program. There needs to be a more effective effort to increase awareness and involvement of MSME actors in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

Then, after the contract is seen, the ownership status of the goods before being sold to the customer becomes a crucial point for deviations from murabahah contract practices . Therefore, improvements should be made to the practice flow of murabahah financing contracts with the main objective of securing sharia principles in terms of possession of goods, including the required documents. Bearing in mind, this is the critical point for the occurrence of slight deviations/confusion in the practice of murabahah contracts .
