Abstract

The reseacher is motivated by the the absence of a social science learning module (IPS) that integrates with “Sedekah bumi” as the local wisdom in conducting this research junior high school Menganti. Therefore a research on the development of IPS modules integrate the local wisdom on the diversity of Indonesian etnichs and cultures was conducting in classs 7th B of junior high school Menganti. This study aims to describe the feasibility of the IPS module in terms of validity and practicality. This research conducted using the development model with the R&D design of Borg and Gall (1975). The data in this study were obtained through a validation sheet and response questionnaire module. The results of the study show that: (1) module validity is based on the validation sheet in terms of valid category content and module validity in terms of display category is very valid, and (2) module practicality is based on a very practical category response questionnaire. From these results it can be concluded that the IPS module integrates the local wisdom of earth alms tradition is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to understand how the application of Minang Culture Local Wisdom values "in the earth is grounded, there is the sky dijunjuang" in the Context of Ethnopedagogy by Perantau Minang in the City of Surabaya. This research is qualitative in nature with an ethnographic approach that was carried out for three months (August-October 2018) to Minangkabau migrants in the city of Surabaya. The results of the study show that there are at least five Minangkabau cultural values that are very important to be included as part of the ethopathic material. The nine cultural values are: 1) Caring for and maintaining Mother Language; 2)“Dima bumi dipijak, disitu langit dijunjuang”; 3)“Nan elok dek awak katuju dek urang; Lamak dek awak lamak dek urang; Sakik dek awak sakik dek urang”; 4)“Karatau madang di hulu, Babuah babungo balun; Marantau Bujang dahulu, Di rumah baguno balun”; 5)“Baraja ka na manang, mancontoh ka nan sudah”; dan “Takuruang nak dilua, taimpik nak diateh”; 6) “Yang buta penghembus lesung, yang pekak pelepas bedil, yang lumpuh penghuni rumah, yang kuat pemikul beban, yang bodoh untuk disuruh-suruh, dan yang pintar lawan berunding.”; 7) “Hiduik baraka, baukue jo bajangko”; 8) “Nan tuo dihormati, nan ketek disayangi, samo gadang bawo bakawan, ibu jo bapak diutamokan.”;9) “Adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah” Keywords: ethnopedagogy, local wisdom, Minangkabau culture.

Abstract

Heutagogy skills are needed by students to take part in the e-learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study examines the measurement model and proved the influence of e-learning towards self-directed, self-regulated, and self-determined learning skills. This research uses a survey method, the data is collected through an online questionnaire which shared with 232 respondents. The research instrument validity was tested by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and reliability test by calculating Cronc’bach value. Path Analysis with AMOS 21.0 was used to analyze the relationship between variables. The result confirms that e-learning significantly affected self-regulated learning. Meanwhile, self-regulated learning has a significant effect on self-determined. Path analysis result indicated that e-learning significantly affected self-determined learning if self-directed and self-regulated learning is first developed. The results of this study also provided an empirical basis for other researchers who want to develop independent learning in students through e-learning. Indicators in self-directed learning can be developed in an online learning process, hence, it can be observed directly on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The PBLHS Movement Plan which was ratified as intended in article 7 of the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52 of 2019 in paragraph 2 states the instructions for integrating the PBLHS movement in the One KTSP document. It is known that the textbooks used so far have not been able to support the PBLHS program, especially in Basic Competency 3.3 material so that learning occurs in class without going through a written document structure. This fact also shows that social studies learning through the PBLHS program is not well designed. This study aims to compile an Integrated Social Studies learning textbook PBLHS program with theme 4, namely "Dynamics of Human Interaction with the Environment". This study used a research and development (R&D) research design using a 4D models development model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) learning model which has an impact on consistent changes in students' critical thinking skills in Social Science subjects. The study used a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was students of MTs N 4 Sidoarjo class VIII determined by the cluster proportional random sampling technique. The experimental class is taught using the TGT model and the control class is using the discussion learning model. Both research classes were measured critical thinking ability. The data obtained were tested using an Independent-sample t-test to see the difference in the two research classes to see the difference between the pretest and posttest of critical thinking skills. The results showed that there was a positive influence on students' critical thinking skills in using the TGT model. In the experimental class taught using the TGT learning model, their critical thinking skills were better than the discussion learning model. The final assessment shows that critical thinking skills show Sig. (2-tailed) 0.011 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference. The existence of a significant difference indicates that there is an effect of the TGT learning model on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini penting dilakukan mengingat saat ini generasi muda banyak yang terlena dengan era globalisasi. Banyak generasi muda yang lebih mencintai budaya asing daripada budaya asli Indonesia. Indonesia memiliki beraneka ragam budaya yang menjadi kearifan lokal masing-masing daerah. Kearifan lokal di dalamnya mengandung nilai-nilai yang dapat dijadikan generasi muda sebagai acuan dalam berperilaku dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang tidak bertolak belakang dengan pancasila dan UUD 1945. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian campuran (mix method) yaitu penelitian yang berangkat dari penelitian yang mengeksplorasi data secara kualitatif yaitu mengeksplorasi makna simbolik dan nilai yang terdapat di dalam kesenian Reog Cemandi kemudiannilai-nilai tersebut ditransformasikan ke dalam pembelajaran dalam bentuk pengembangan handout (kuantitatif). Informan penelitian ini yaitu pelaku reog, penonton atau penikmat kesenian Reog Cemandi, serta peserta didik kelas V SD. Instrumen menggunakan lembar validasi handout, lembar wawancara, serta lembar observasi. Data yang kualitatif yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis Roland Barthes dan data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan skala likert. Adapun hasil penelitian yaitu setiap simbol yang terdapat dalam kesenian Reog Cemandi memiliki makna dan nilai tertentu. Nilai yang terdapat di dalamnya yaitu nilai toleransi, kerja keras, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, dan peduli sosial. Integrasi Kesenian Reog Cemandi dengan Pembelajaran Tema 7 Kelas V adalah dengan mengintegrasikan nilai cinta tanah air ke dalam pembelajaran. Integrasi tersebut dijadikan dalam sebuah handout. Handout telah divalidasi oleh validator yang menunjukkan bahwa handout sudah layak diimplementasikan kepada peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar dengan hasil 3.83 atau dengan prosentasi 95,75%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena untuk memberikan penguatan nilai-nilai karakter kepada siswa sekolah dasar melalui kearifan lokal dari Sidoarjo yakni makna dan nilai simbolik motif batik jetis Sidoarjo yang dapat di integrasikan ke dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mix methods dengan menganalisis penelitian kualitatif terlebih dahulu yakni dengan menganalisis makna dan nilai motif batik jetis kemudian diintegrasikan kedalam Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik. Informan penelitian ini berjumlah 8 orang yakni pemilik batik, pekerja batik dan konsumen batik dan 5 orang siswa kelas IV. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis semiotika roland barthes untuk mengetahui makna simbolik dan nilai apa yang terdapat pada batik jetis Sidoarjo kemudian nilai tersebut diintegasikan ke dalam Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) sebagai bentuk integrasi di dalam pembelajaran. Setelah dilakukan analisis bahwa (a) Ada makna simbolik pada motif batik jetis sebagai etnopedagogik masyarakat Sidoarjo dibuktikan dengan adanya beberapa motif yang sesuai dengan nilai 18 karakter yakni motif kebun tebu, kembang bayem, sekar jagad, beras utah, sekardangan, udang bandeng dan kipas. (b) Ada nilai-nilai yang terdapat pada motif batik jetis sebagai etnopedagogik masyarakat Sidoarjo diantaranya ialah nilai peduli lingkungan, cinta damai, kerja keras, jujur, mandiri dan religius. (c) Ada pengintegrasian makna simbolik dan nilai pada motif batik jetis dengan pendidikan karakter siswa kelas IV SD yang dibuktikan dengan kesesuaian kompetensi dasar dengan makna simbolik dari motif batik jetis ialah mengidentifikasi kegiatan ekonomi dan hubungannya dengan berbagai bidang pekerjaan serta kehidupan sosial dan budaya di lingkungan sekitar sampai provinsi.
