Every subject requires creativity from educators, as well as social studies subjects. Not a few monotonous learning offered by the teacher in learning causes a lack of motivation to learn for students. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the field trip learning method on social studies learning motivation in elementary schools. The research method uses qualitative methods with literature study. With the result that the field trip learning method is very influential on social studies subjects in elementary schools, it is proven by the application of this method to make students more active and able to achieve the goals of the learning given. Students can receive new experiences, even new information that is not obtained in class. With the field trip method, students can search for and find lessons related to the material that has been determined, thus giving a different impression to students. This is what can lead to student learning motivation when the field trip method is implemented, and can have a positive influence on students and teachers when applying it.

The world of education has challenges to improve superior and quality human resources by building 21st century skills which include 1) creative thinking, 2) critical thinking and problem solving, 3) communication, and 4) collaboration. One of the skills that must be developed in every implementation of learning activities is higher order thinking skills (HOTS). This study aims to describe the effect of the student's Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in social studies learning on students' higher-order thinking skills. The type of research used in this study is a literature study method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques by collecting as much information as possible from various literature sources related to Problem Based Learning and higher order thinking skills or HOTS. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of the PBL model in making students active, independent, and able to think at higher levels. In the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, students are taught to apply new knowledge to solve problems, so that students become critical, independent and creative thinking.

This article discusses the analysis of the concept of historical material during the European colonial period for elementary school students. It aims to analyze the concept of historical material during the European colonial period in elementary schools that is in accordance with the level of understanding of elementary level students. In compiling this article, the author collected data using quantitative methods. From the findings of the concept of historical material during the European colonial period for elementary school students, starting from exploring the ocean to look for spices to the arrival of Europeans to Indonesia to get spices. However, over time these Europeans began to arbitrarily occupy the government in Indonesia and make the Indonesian people miserable.

The world of education can not be separated from the figure of a teacher. The teacher is a professional educator whose job is to educate and guide students to become intelligent and skilled individuals in various ways. The roles of teachers and students are always side by side in the world of education, therefore teachers and students are two important components in the world of education. A good teacher is a teacher who is able to carry out his duties properly, in this case a teacher must understand and carry out various kinds of competencies that exist and must be achieved by a teacher. One of the competencies that must be possessed by teachers is professional competence, which means that a teacher must have a broad and deep mastery of learning materials so that learning can run well and achieve learning objectives. A teacher must be able to have good professional competence in various fields of learning. One of the learning materials found at the elementary school level is social studies learning material. At the elementary school level, students' thinking patterns are still abstract, while the scope of social studies material is very broad, therefore it is important for a teacher to be able to master his professional competence, especially in social studies material in elementary schools.

The writing of the results of the research aims to find out how the influence of the use of video media improves student learning outcomes in social studies learning in elementary school. The writing in this study uses qualitative research methods, as well as a descriptive approach, in the discussion citing the results of a literature study. Furthermore, based on several sources from scientific articles, books, and relevant journals based on the results of previous studies that are in line with the topic of discussion. The results of this study, it was found that the use of video media has an influence on the learning outcomes of elementary school students, especially in social studies subjects. The use of video media in social studies learning in elementary school is valid because students who learn social studies material using video media trigger students to be more active in asking questions. discuss, and answer about the material being studied. This is because the video shows are quite interesting so that students pay attention to the material and do not get bored easily so that they can improve their learning outcomes. In the application of video media in social studies subjects, it has a considerable impact on the achievement and learning interest of elementary school students.

Social studies learning has an important role in the formation of student character. However, Social Studies learning in the formation of students' character is certainly not a problem easy, it takes continuous struggle to produce good results in accordance with the goals of national education. Social studies learning has something in common with character education, both of which have the goal of making students as good citizens, care about social problems, the existing environment, and also share a high sense of nationality.

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still teachers who have difficulty in applying the learning model well in classroom learning, so the researchers intend to examine what are the obstacles or obstacles in the application of the PBL learning model in social studies learning in elementary grade IV. Teachers as one of the important components in the learning process need to pay attention to the needs and characteristics of their students in preparing quality learning. To achieve this, teachers must be creative in choosing the right learning model and also pay attention to the characteristics of elementary school students. One of the models commonly used by teachers in social studies learning is the problem based learning (PBL) model. The PBL learning model is a learning model that makes problems as the basis for student learning. Based on the research that the researcher has done through descriptive qualitative research methods with the research subject of class IV teachers at SDN 090 Cibiru, it was found that various obstacles became obstacles for teachers in implementing the PBL learning model to the fullest. These obstacles are: (1) inadequate facilities; (2) teacher readiness; (3) limited time; and (4) barriers from within the classroom and students. The data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation, and documentation techniques.

Being a society amid the development of information and technology, has an impact on life with all the conveniences. However, because of this ease, it is no doubt that people have the desire to continue to follow the trends that are happening and lead to a hedonic style or an attitude that is concerned with self-satisfaction. In fulfilling this style, it will lead to consumptive behavior as a style that likes to spend money without thinking about its usefulness. This research was conducted to find out how the level of hedonic style causes consumptive behavior. The method used is mixed method, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research data came from each student which was conducted on November 6-10 2022. Respondents who were none other than students admitted that they were individuals who always wanted to get what they wanted. But in this study, the consumptive behavior of the influence of the hedonic style of students on what they always want is still moderate.

The use of technology in learning needs to be realized in real terms, because this is related to the progress of Indonesian education. However, it is very unfortunate that many learning activities in schools still seem monotonous and have not made the most of technology. One way to utilize technology in learning is to use it as media. By using digital media, it will make it easier for teachers and students to interact in class, especially on social studies learning material which has its own level of understanding and difficulty because it is social. In this study the authors used google earth media to help students understand the map material and see how students respond in learning assisted by google earth media. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative method with a case study approach. Sources of data obtained from journals and opinions of experts. The conclusion obtained from this research is that it is hoped that the use of Google Earth media can become one of the innovative and interesting media which can later motivate and improve student learning outcomes, especially in learning maps in Social Sciences subjects.
