Abstract

Ginger is a local plant with various health benefits. Currently, many processed ginger products are available on the market. However, the development of processed ginger products through innovative contemporary products such as ginger latte and ginger pink milk health drinks continues to increase community income. This community service program was carried out as an effort to improve the welfare of residents of RW 04, Badean Village, using the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) method through counselling and training on processing ginger into health drinks because ginger is a local ingredient that is readily available at an affordable price in Bondowoso Regency. The significant role of kader PKK in the community is utilised as a motivating agent for women in their area to increase family income. The participants' enthusiasm for all activities is expected to be a widely beneficial solution for all residents as an alternative business to improve the family economy.

Abstract

Wonoasri Village is one of the villages located in Tempurejo District, Jember Regency. This village is a buffer village for Meru Betiri National Park with regional characteristics of lowlands, hills, and forests flanked by 2 large rivers, namely the Mayang River and the Curahnongko River. Based on observations by the PKM team, this village is prone to flooding due to high rainfall, climate change, and poor natural resource management. Therefore, the PKM team aims to carry out disaster mitigation, especially mitigating the risk of flooding impacts in a sustainable manner. The community service implementation method uses 5 stages: funding for rubber boat grants, funding for supporting equipment, training and practice, mentoring and activity evaluation. The results obtained are that there are 4 main problems that cause flooding in this village: high and prolonged rainfall, sloping topography of the area, deforestation in the upper reaches of the river, and poor drainage systems. The PKM team has handed over a grant of rubber boats and other equipment that is useful for flood mitigation efforts accompanied by counseling, training and direct surveys at flood-affected locations. The activity was successful, as seen from the increase in the level of insight and skills of community members, village governments, and the Destanas in efforts to mitigate the impact of flood disaster risks.

Abstract

In the tourism services sector, tourist experience and destination image are the keys to create tourist satisfaction. Thus, tourists are expected to gain pleasure and lead to a build of tourist' trust in the beach destination. Research objectives are to prove the effect of customer experience and destination image on trust through the mediation of tourist satisfaction. The population were all tourists who had visited a beach in Trenggalek Regency more than two times. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with 193 respondents. Data collection was carried out by a questionnaire containing statement items which were given a score of 1-5 using a Likert scale, and the analysis tool was use PLS. The results imply that customer experience and destination image affect tourist satisfaction. Tourist experience was not significant on trust, but destination image influences trust of the tourist.On the other hand, tourist satisfaction affects tourist' trust. This research proves that the more satisfied tourists, it would be to increase tourist’ trust. The Sobel test shows that the intervening variable, namely tourist satisfaction, can mediate the influence of the variable of tourist experience and destination image on trust when visiting the beach
