Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pergeseran tradisi Hari Raya Enam (Ziarah Kubur) yang terjadi di Desa Ganting Damai, Kecamatan Salo, Kabupaten Kampar. Tradisi ini merupakan bagian dari identitas budaya dan spiritual masyarakat Melayu yang dilaksanakan setiap tanggal 8 Syawal. Tradisi tersebut terdiri dari empat tahapan utama, yaitu puasa enam hari di bulan Syawal, pembersihan makam, ziarah kubur dan doa bersama, serta makan bersama atau bajambau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk pergeseran dalam pelaksanaan tradisi serta faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perubahan pada praktik dan pemaknaan setiap tahapan tradisi. Misalnya, puasa tidak lagi dilakukan secara berurutan, pembersihan kuburan diserahkan kepada jasa profesional, dan makan bersama mengalami pergeseran dari makanan khas ke makanan praktis. Faktor-faktor penyebab pergeseran antara lain meningkatnya pemahaman agama, kesibukan masyarakat, pengaruh pandemi COVID-19, kurangnya sosialisasi dari tokoh agama dan adat, akses ke makam yang sulit, serta perkembangan teknologi. Pergeseran ini mencerminkan adanya proses modernisasi dan rasionalisasi terhadap nilai nilai budaya dan spiritual masyarakat, sebagaimana dijelaskan dalam teoriperubahan sosial Max Weber.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the types of deixis and their function in the novel Imra‘ah ‘Inda Nuqṭah Al-Ṣifr (abbreviated as IINA) by Nawal Al-Sa’dawi. The method used is a qualitative method with a library research design. The data collection stage uses the note-taking method. As for the data analysis technique, it uses descriptive analytic of utterances that contain deixis in the novel, then analyzes its function. The findings of the study show that they are five types of deixis in the IINA novel, which include persona, time, place, discourse, and social deixis. In persona deixis, 60 data were found, consisting of 30 first persona data, 15 second persona deixis data, and 15 third persona deixis data. There are 7 data for time deixis, 8 data for place deixis, 4 discourse deixis and 5 data for social deixis. On the other hand, the function of deixis shows that persona deixis functions as a reference for people or characters in the story or refers to pronouns in the first person (speaker), second (opposite0, or third (person being talked about). Time deixis serves as an indication of the time of events that have taken place, are taking place, and will take place. Place deixis serves as a reference for places that are close to the speaker or places far from the speaker. Meanwhile, discourse deixis functions as explaining something that has been discussed or something that will be discussed. Finally, social deixis serves to show differences in social class between speakers and interlocutors and maintains the value of decency in society.

Abstract

Sociology students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Riau, are proud of the department they have chosen. The sociology program equips them to become competent graduates capable of serving as agents of change in society. This study employs a qualitative approach using structured interviews and free essays from students about their experiences. Informants were purposively selected from the 2022 cohort of students actively involved in campus organizations, without considering their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and themes related to students' pride. With the growing interest in sociology among young people, it is important for the faculty to continue improving the quality of the curriculum and providing adequate support for students so that they feel proud and engaged in the field they have chosen. This study shows that student involvement in various extracurricular activities, as well as the support and guidance provided by faculty members, are key factors in building students' pride in their department.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Quantum Teaching learning model on students' self-confidence in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach and a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that was treated with the Quantum Teaching model and the control class that used conventional learning, each consisting of 32 students. The research instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire to measure the students' level of self-confidence. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the average self-confidence score of students in the experimental class increased from 42.00 to 60.09, while in the control class it only increased from 41.94 to 45.94. The normality test indicated that the data was not normally distributed, thus the analysis continued with non-parametric tests. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a significant increase in each group. Meanwhile, the Mann-Whitney test showed a very significant difference between the experimental and control classes with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). A significant difference was found between student learning outcomes in the experimental and control classes. This indicates that the Quantum Teaching approach has a positive and significant impact on improving student learning outcomes compared to conventional learning methods. These findings indicate that the Quantum Teaching model is not only effective in improving cognitive understanding but also significantly increases student self-confidence. The interactive and enjoyable learning environment makes students feel valued, more active, and more confident in their abilities. Therefore, this model is recommended as an innovative and enjoyable learning alternative, particularly in teaching Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Couples of childbearing age who postpone the first pregnancy in Pekanbaru City are a decision, as in Max Weber's social action, namely the actor is influenced by an action. The purpose of this research is to find out the background of couples of childbearing age delaying the first pregnancy and the views of couples of childbearing age on the value of children. The technique in stopping informants using Purposive Sampling technique. The subjects in this study amounted to five couples of childbearing age who delayed pregnancy using contraceptives or birth control. The results showed that based on the field findings of the social action theory background by Max Weber, there is instrumental rationality which is influenced by economics, work rules, and careers. Value rationality is influenced by readiness factors. The irrational background is affective or affective actions influenced by affection factors and traditional actions influenced by family encouragement so that the decision to delay the first pregnancy using family planning. The value of children seen from couples of childbearing age based on field findings obtained from interviews shows that there are four values of children, namely spiritual, psychological, social, and economic. Spiritual values found that couples of childbearing age who postpone the first pregnancy view the value of children, namely children are a gift for those who are ready and entrusted by God. The psychological value is that couples of childbearing age who postpone their first pregnancy view the value of children as entertainment, encouragement, and readiness as parents. Then from the social value that couples of childbearing age who postpone the first pregnancy see the value of children as the successor of offspring, and the binding of a large family. The economic value is that couples of childbearing age who postpone their first pregnancy see the value of children as a burden, investment, and security in old age.

Abstract

Kafe remang-remang merupakan tempat hiburan yang identik dengan tempat prostitusi, minuman beralkohol dan perjudian. Terdapat sebanyak 15 kafe remang-remang di Kecamatan Kampar Kiri, hal ini membuktikan bahwa eksistensi kafe remang-remang masih terus bertahan dari tahun ke tahun. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui bentuk aktivitas dan upaya pemilik dalam mempetahankan eksistensi kafe remang-remang dengan pendekatan teori struktural fungsional Talcott Parsons. Lokasi penelitian di Kelurahan Lipat Kain dengan subjek 5 informan utama dan 2 informan kunci menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk aktivitas yang dapat menunjukkan keberadaan kafe remang-remang terbagi menjadi aktivitas tampak luar yaitu simbol tertentu, bentuk bangunan yang terletak di tepi jalan lintas dan aktivitas tampak dalam yaitu bentuk bangunan yang memiliki ruangan tambahan dan pelayanan tambahan. Upaya yang dilakukan pemilik dilihat dari upaya eksternal yakni penyesuaian lingkungan, membangun relasi serta nilai dan norma. Kemudian upaya internal yakni loyalitas pekerja, strategi pemasaran dan kompenasasi pelanggan.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah salah satu bentuk kontribusi akademisi (dosen dan mahasiswa) dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat maupun untuk pengembangan masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk memberikan edukasi serta peningkatan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Sepotong, Kecamatan Siak Kecil, Kabupaten Bengkalis, Provinsi Riau. Fokus utama kegiatan ini adalah melakukan optimalisasi serta pemanfaatan potensi lokal dan digitalisasi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Sasaran dari pengabdian ini adalah Pelaku UMKM yang menjual berbagai produk dan tersebar di tiga wilayah dusun serta kelompok Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini terbagi menjadi dua sesi, pertama adalah sosialisasi diikuti oleh 11 pelaku UMKM. Kedua adalah pelatihan intensif dan pendampingan yang diikuti oleh 7 pelaku UMKM untuk memberikan pelatihan secara personal. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yaitu Participatory Rulal Apraical (PRA) dengan teknik ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi. Metode ini melibatkan masyarakat yang merupakan mitra sasaran dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian yaitu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan serta keterampilan mitra mengenai pemanfaatan potensi lokal dan digitalisasi UMKM, memperkenalkan konsep pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal dan pentingnya digitalisasi dalam pengembangan UMKM, pemanfaatan platform e-commerce untuk meningkatkan penjualan produk lokal, dan juga tercapainya pembuatan produk yang memanfaatkan potensi lokal desa. Abstract

This study aims to identify and evaluate effective strategies in developing critical thinking skills in elementary school-age children through a literature review method. Taking into account the complexity of cognitive development at this stage, this study investigates various learning strategies that are suitable for the characteristics of elementary school-age children. Through in-depth analysis of relevant literature, this study identifies that the use of stories or fairy tales, problem-based approaches, and social interaction are effective strategies in developing critical thinking skills in elementary school-age children. Stories and fairy tales can stimulate children's imagination and reflection, while the problem-based approach encourages them to identify and solve problems critically. Social interactions, such as group discussions and teamwork, also help expand children's perspectives and hone their critical thinking skills. This study provides insights into the importance of developing critical thinking skills in elementary school-age children and offers practical guidance for educators and policymakers in designing effective learning strategies.

Abstract

Pengembangan multimedia dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) telah menjadi topik penelitian yang menarik perhatian para peneliti. Beberapa penelitian menekankan pengembangan multimedia interaktif yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam pembelajaran. Dari segi jenisnya, penelitian ini dapat dikategorikan sebagai penelitian literatur, khususnya dalam ranah penelitian pustaka atau library research. Metode ini melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui analisis berbagai sumber literatur, tidak terbatas pada buku-buku, melainkan juga mencakup bahan dokumentasi, majalah, jurnal, dan surat kabar. Multimedia merupakan sebuah alat yang dapat digunakan sebagai media presentasi yang lebih dinamis dan interaktif, di mana pada media tersebut penggunanya dapat mengkombinasikan berbagai macam data seperti teks, grafik, video, animasi, dan juga audio. Terdapat jenis-jenis multimedia Pembelajaran melalui multimedia adalah pembelajaran yang didesain dengan menggunakan berbagai media secara bersamaan seperti teks, gambar (foto), film (video) dan lain sebagainya yang semuanya saling bersinergi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah dirumuskan.Multimedia adalah gabungan dari tiga buah elemen penting yang terdapat di dalamnya suara, tulisan dan gambar dan terdapat kelebihan serta kekurangannya.

Abstract

Salah satu alternatif pembelajaran fiqh adalah metode debat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan berbasis pada strategi pembelajaran debat. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII SMA Al Hidayah. Teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Memastikan keakuratan data dilakukan dengan meninjau observasi dan dokumentasi wawancara. Pengujian keandalan informasi dilakukan melalui observasi sepanjang waktu, ketekunan, dan peningkatan referensi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran pendidik dalam penyelenggaraan pembelajaran fiqh perceraian di SMA Al Hidayah Medan diwujudkan melalui dedikasi dan kerjasama.
