Abstract

Jaundice or hyperbilirubinemia is a normal condition in newborn babies during the first week due to incomplete liver function in the process of removing bilirubin from the baby's bloodstream. Hyperbilirubinemia occurs when the blood's bilirubin level exceeds 13mg/dL. Based on 2007 basic health research (Riskesdas) data regarding the causes of neonatal death, hematological disorders/hyperbilirubinemia is the 5th cause of neonatal morbidity with a prevalence of 5.6% after respiratory disorders, prematurity, sepsis, and hypothermia. , There is no multicenter data in Indonesia regarding hyperbilirubinemia. The latest data on the prevalence of severe hyperbilirubinemia (>20mg/dL) is 7%, with acute encephalopathic hyperbilirubinemia at 2%. This multicenter data is not representative of data from all of Indonesia because it only comes from eight hospitals in big cities (Jakarta, 6 hospitals; Kupang, one hospital, and Manado, one hospital). The method used in writing this article is a literature review. This study uses the search engines Google Scholar, Pubmed, Science Direct, Emerald, and Biomed with an article period between 2018-2022, both nationally and internationally, relevant to the topic. Based on an article review conducted on 7 appropriate articles, it was found that there was an influence of breastfeeding on the care of jaundiced babies. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that breastfeeding can prevent neonatal jaundice. Keywords: exclusive breastfeeding, baby jaundice, neonatal jaundice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the constraints in the implementation of Integrated Information Referral System (SISRUTE) in healthcare services at Bahteramas Regional General Hospital (thereafter called RSUD Bahteramas). This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected using in-depth interview and observation techniques. The informants in this study were selected purposively. The results of study showed that the constraints arising in the implementation of SISRUTE were caused by internal and external problems. External problems are related to the slow response of the Bahteramas Hospital’s SISRUTE, limited healthcare facilities in the emergency room, and no external socialization about the Operational Service Standards (SPO) of SISRUTE services. Meanwhile, another problem burdening the implementation of SISRUTE is related to internal conditions at RSUD Bahteramas, including computer facilities often encountering technical problems, dynamic Emergency Department (IGD) conditions with dense patient visits, no SPO available for SISRUTE services, SISRUTE not considered yet as a joint responsibility, and the application of SISRUTE on computers in the inpatient service unit. A comprehensive socialization in all First Level Healthcare Facilities (FKTP) and network hospitals is required in the attempt of uniformizing both understanding and applicable rules and the process of sending and receiving systems referring to the Director General of Healthcare Services’ Decree Number HK.02.02/D/1131/2023 about Technical Guidelines for the use of Integrated Referral Information System Applications. Keywords: constraints, implementation, system, Bahteramas Hospital

Abstract

Diabetes is one of the four priority non-communicable diseases. According to the data, it is evident that 1 in 2 individuals with diabetes are unaware of their condition, while in fact, 80% of diabetes cases can be prevented. Referring to previous studies, both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are increasing among adolescents. Although the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms and clinical profiles differ, there are common principles in managing both types. These principles involve achieving adequate glycemic control and adopting a healthy lifestyle with the aim of preventing chronic diabetes-related complications. This research utilized a dataset consisting of journals focused on adolescent health as the study population. We identified 30 indexed journals from various publishers in this literature review. The databases used for the search include ProQuest, ScienceDirect, PubMed, and the National Library. The review was limited to research published in the last 5 years. As a result, thirty (30) journals covering a range of topics related to previous research, including: 1) Diabetes, 2) Health Promotion, 3) Promotional Media, 4) Knowledge and Attitudes, and 5) Adolescents, were reviewed.
