Abstract

In the era of massive digital transformation, the banking sector faces immense pressure to adopt advanced technologies to maintain market relevance. This study aims to investigate the influence of Artificial Intelligence Marketing Capabilities (AIMC) on competitive advantage by positioning Customer Agility as a mediating variable in the context of the digital banking sector. Using a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, data were collected from marketing managers and decision-makers at a leading digital bank. The results show that AIMC significantly improves banks' ability to predict customer needs, which in turn strengthens customer agility. Furthermore, customer agility is shown to mediate the relationship between AI capabilities and competitive advantage, confirming that technology alone is insufficient without an organization's ability to respond quickly to changing customer behavior. These findings provide theoretical contributions to the Resource-Based View (RBV) and provide practical implications for banking management to prioritize investment in customer-oriented AI infrastructure to win the competition in a saturated market.

Abstract

The rapid integration of social media and e-commerce, known as social commerce, has revolutionized consumer behavior by creating a highly interactive and persuasive shopping environment. This study aims to explore the psychological and social drivers of impulsive buying behavior, specifically focusing on the effects of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and Influencer Recommendations. In the digital age, consumers are constantly exposed to real-time updates and curated lifestyles, which often triggers a sense of social anxiety regarding missed opportunities. Utilizing a quantitative research design, this study examines how these factors interact to bypass rational decision-making processes. Data were collected from 450 active social media users who frequently engage in social commerce platforms such as TikTok Shop and Instagram Shopping. The findings reveal that FOMO significantly intensifies the urge to purchase through the mechanism of perceived scarcity and social competition. Furthermore, influencer recommendations act as a powerful catalyst, providing social proof and lowering the perceived risk of a transaction. The synergy between FOMO and influencer credibility creates a high-pressure environment that accelerates impulsive buying. This research provides valuable insights for digital marketers in designing persuasive strategies while also offering a critical perspective for consumers to understand the psychological triggers behind their online spending habits.

Abstract

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in rural areas play a crucial role as the backbone of the domestic economy. However, limited financial literacy and difficult access to formal financial institutions often trap MSMEs in a vicious cycle of illegal online loans (illegal pinjol) and loan sharks. This community service activity aims to improve understanding of financial management and educate rural MSMEs about the fatal risks of illegal loans. The "Financial Planning Education" education program was implemented simultaneously in three representative regions of Indonesia, namely the provinces of North Sumatra, East Java, and Sulawesi (South Sulawesi and North Sulawesi). The activity implementation method used a participatory approach that included three main stages: (1) Socialization and classical education on family and business financial planning; (2) Training in identifying the characteristics of legal vs. illegal loans; and (3) Assistance in utilizing fintech platforms registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The results of the evaluation through pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in partners' understanding of financial literacy by 78%. Furthermore, MSMEs are now able to prepare simple financial reports and have legal awareness to avoid the pitfalls of illegal loans. The sustainability of this program is expected to foster an independent, resilient, and financially savvy village MSME ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production efficiency of Melte Vanana banana chips agroindustry through the calculation of COGS using the full costing method, BEP analysis, and mapping the marketing structure applied by CV. Vanana Jaya Sinergi in Bandar Lampung City. The study was conducted in January 2025 using a mixed methods approach integrating quantitative and qualitative analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving eleven respondents directly engaged in the production and marketing chain. The sampling method applied was purposive sampling based on the respondents’ direct involvement in the production and marketing processes. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that COGS per package varied across flavors: Vanilla Milk (IDR 4,696), Green Tea (IDR 5,014), Yummy Chocolate (IDR 5,656), Coffee Latte (IDR 5,788), and Cheese Melt (IDR 5,868), with a uniform selling price of IDR 10,000/unit, generating profit margins ranging from 41% to 53%. The overall Gross Profit Margin (GPM) reached 57.2%, exceeding the average of similar micro, small and medium enterprises. All product variants operated above the BEP with significant margins of safety. The marketing structure operated through three tiers distributors, agents, and resellers with a farmer share of 66.7%, indicating an efficient marketing channel. This study concludes that Melte Vanana agroindustry has achieved good production and marketing efficiency. A key limitation is the concentration of raw material supply (78%) on a single supplier, which poses a significant supply chain risk. Future research is recommended to incorporate BEP sensitivity analysis and broader multi-period data.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the impact of increases in tobacco excise taxes, production costs, and sales volume on the profitability of PT Gudang Garam Tbk during the 2020–2024 period. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the company’s financial statements, analyzed via multiple linear regression using EViews software. The results indicate that, simultaneously, the variables of tobacco excise tax increases, production costs, and sales volume influence profitability. However, individually, these three variables do not significantly affect profitability. The coefficient of determination indicates that the independent variables explain 53.64% of the variation in profitability, while the remaining 46.36% is influenced by other variables outside the research model. These results suggest that the company is able to make adjustments through pricing strategies, cost efficiency, and sales management, thereby minimizing the impact of excise tax increases and production costs on profitability. Keywords: Tobacco Excise Tax, Production Costs, Sales Volume, Profitability
