Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konflik sosial dan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Buku Besar Peminum Kopi karya Andrea Hirata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra yang berfokus  pada  konflik  sosial.  Data penelitian ini adalah bagian-bagian atau kutipan novel yang bermatan konflik sosial. Yang menjadi sumber data adalah novel Buku Besar Peminum Kopi karya Andrea Hirata. Teknik  pengambilan  sampel  menggunakan  purposive  sampling. Teknik pengumpulan  data  yang digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini adalah  analisis  dokumen  dan wawancara mendalam. Teknik validasi data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi teori dan triangulasi sumber data. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis mengalir. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) novel Buku Besar Peminum Kopi karya Andrea Hirata mengandung lima dari enam bentuk konflik sosial berdasarkan teori dari Georg Simmel, yaitu konflik pertandingan antagonistik, konflik mengenai prinsip-prinsip dasar (kepentingan), konflik antarpribadi, konflik dalam hubungan intim atau akrab, dan konflik untuk menghancurkan kelompok. Konflik sosial yang paling dominan adalah konflik pertandingan antagonistik, sedangkan konflik hukum tidak ditemukan dalam novel tersebut; dan (2) novel Buku Besar Peminum Kopi karya Andrea Hirata mengandung sembilan pilar pendidikan karakter berdasarkan teori dari Suparlan, yaitu tanggung jawab, rasa hormat, keadilan, keberanian, kejujuran, kewarganegaraan, disiplin diri, peduli, dan ketekunan. Nilai pendidikan karakter yang paling dominan yaitu nilai keberanian dan tanggung jawab. Nilai tersebut ditunjukkan oleh para tokoh melalui ucapan maupun tindakan secara langsung.

Abstract

Naskah drama merupakan salah satu bentuk sastra yang mampu mencerminkan realitas sosial dan memperkuat pesan moral dalam sebuah narasi teater. Salah satu karya sastra Indonesia yang memadukan elemen-elemen tersebut adalah Barabah karya Motinggo Busye. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konflik sosial dan nilai moral yang terdapat dalam naskah drama "Barabah" serta mengevaluasi relevansinya sebagai materi ajar sastra di sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan sosiologi sastra yang digunakan untuk mengkaji naskah drama “Barabah” yaitu konflik sosial dan nilai moral. Peneliti akan menganalisis beberapa macam konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam naskah drama Barabah karya Motinggo Busye mulai dari a) Konflik antarindividu, b) Konflik antarkelompok, c) Konflik antargenerasi, d) Konflik gender dan nilai moral yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah a) Nilai Empati, b) Nilai Hati Nurani, c) Nilai Kebaikan Hati, d) Nilai Rasa Hormat, e) Nilai Kontrol Diri, dan f) Nilai Keadilan, serta penelitian ini direlevansikan sebagai materi ajar sastra di SMA.

Abstract

The development of maize hybrids that combine desirable agronomic traits and grain yield could enhance the likelihood of adopting new superior cultivars. Breeding programs that use specific selection criteria aim to produce high-yielding and stable hybrids with good agronomic performance. The study aimed to determine the superior and stable tropical maize hybrids using simultaneous selection based on trait associations. Ten maize hybrids were evaluated across 10 different environments in tropical regions using a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Genotype, environment, and genotype-by-environment interactions exhibited statistically significant effects on all observed traits, indicating the differential genetic responses among hybrids across environments. Grain yield is significantly associated with agronomic traits and yield components, thus rendering it a suitable selection criterion for identifying superior genotypes. The heritability of each trait was high, along with selection gains, indicating good prospects for selection. Identifying genotypes using multiple traits can be effective for selecting the best genotype based on the selection criteria under multiple environments. H07, H04, and H05 were identified as superior and stable hybrids based on the multi-trait genotype-ideotype distance index (MGIDI) and multi-trait stability index (MTSI), as well as the factor analytic best linear unbiased prediction (FAI-BLUP) and Smith-Hazel. These hybrids can be used in future breeding programs and as candidates for superior tropical maize hybrids.

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the discrepancy between words, phrases, clauses and sentences in a discourse. Aspects of grammatical and lexical cohesion is one of the important aspects in the formation of standard discourse, especially in news discourse. Thus, it can be formulated in this study, how is the use of grammatical and lexical cohesion aspects in Javanese news? This study uses the object of analysis in the form of news in Javanese language with a culinary theme contained in the Jawacana tabloid. This study aims to describe the use of grammatical and lexical cohesion aspects in Javanese news in the Jawacana tabloid. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique is done by document analysis. The data in this study are written data in the form of words, phrases, clauses and sentences that contain grammatical and lexical cohesion aspects in Javanese news stories contained in the Jawacana tabloid. Test the validity of the data obtained through data triangulation and theory triangulation. The results of the study indicate that news in Jawacana has used grammatical and lexical cohesion in the preparation of its discourse. Thus, the discourse in thetabloid Jawacana has met the criteria as a complete and standard discourse.

Abstract

This study describes the comparative style of language found in the collection of Sêrat Plérok geguritan by Yusuf Susilo Hartono. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of comparative language style in the geguritan group of Sêrat Plérok. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a stylistic approach. The data collection technique used in this research is document analysis. The source of the data used in this research is the anthology book geguritan Sêrat Plérok by Yusuf Susilo Hartono. The data used is geguritan which contains comparative language styles, the number of data found is 11 data. The results of this study are (1) simile style with 2 data, (2) metaphor language style with 4 data, and (3) personification style with 5 data. The conclusion in this study, the author wrote three comparative language styles from four types of comparative language styles in eleven data to compare things and beautify vocabulary. Comparative language style that is not found in the geguritan Sêrat Plérok anthology is allegorical style.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesulitan-kesulitan pembaca dalam memahami isi Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi. Maka perlu ada guna melakukan upaya dalam penyelesaian permasalahan itu. Salah satunya dengan cara mengidentifikasi gaya bahasa dalam serat tersebut. Guna mengetahui serta membuat deskripsi mengenai gaya bahasa (gaya kata, gaya bunyi, gaya kalimat, dan permajasan) dalam Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi ialah tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian. Deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan stilistika ialah bentuk dari penelitian yang dijalankan. Dokumen berupa Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi karya Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkunegara IV yang sudah ditulis ulang menjadi sebuah buku oleh Ki Sabdacarakatama yang diterbitkan tahun 2010 yakni objek yang dipakai dalam penelitian. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yakni bentuk-bentuk penerapan gaya bahasa dalam Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi yang meliputi penggunaan; (1) gaya kata (afiksasi arkhais, tembung garba, tembung plutan, tembung kawi, tembung baliswara, tembung saroja, dasanama dan tembung entar)., (2) Gaya bunyi yang ditemukan berupa: purwakanthi guru swara, purwakanthi guru sastra, beserta purwakanthi lumaksita., (3) Gaya kalimat yang diterapkan berupa klimaks, antiklimaks, paralelisme, serta repetisi., (4) Majas simile, personifikasi, hiperbola, ironi dan sarkasme merupakan permajasan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan implementasi metode sosiodrama untuk melatih komunikasi remaja sesuai unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa. Metode yang digunakan adalah ekspositori, diskusi, praktik dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penampilan data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada hari Senin, 19 Juni 2023. Bertempat di gedung pertemuan warga Kampung Gulon RT.01/ RW 19, Jebres, Surakarta dengan total peserta sebanyak 20 orang. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak remaja yang belum terbiasa menggunakan bahasa Jawa sesuai unggah-ungguh dalam berkomunikasi sehari-hari. Sebagian peserta masih merasa malu-malu ketika diajak berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa Jawa. Kemudian kami mengajak peserta melakukan praktik menggunakan metode sosiodrama. Peserta diajak berinteraksi secara berkelompok dengan cara memainkan peran dengan menggunakan dialog bahasa Jawa. Melalui metode sosiodrama, mereka mampu mempraktikkan percakapan berbahasa Jawa sesuai unggah-ungguh dengan baik dan benar berdasarkan dengan lawan tutur.

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) describe and explain the intrinsic elements contained in the cerkak - cerkak of the Panjebar Semangat magazine on the Edition (1 - 53) in 2016; (2) describe the social condition of the society contained in the cerkak-cerkak of the Panjebar Semangat magazine on the Edition (1 - 53) in 2016; (3) Describe and explain the relevance of the cerkak-cerkak of the Panjebar Semangat magazine on the Edition (1 - 53) in 2016. This was a qualitative research with descriptive qualitative method. The sources of the data in this study were documents and informants. The validity of the data was triangulation theory and the source. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling technique. Technique of collecting data used reading and interviewing techniques. There were 4 Data analysis techniques used in this research, those were domain analysis, taxonomy, component, theme and cultural. Based on the results of the research and discussion written on chapter IV about cerkak analysis, social condition of the society, and the relevance as learning material of literature appreciation subject on high school student, it was concluded that the analysis of 6 cerkak containing child literature element was suitable to read for student.

Abstract

A novel depicts the socio-cultural conditions of a society in the form of fiction and contains dramatic elements. One of the values contained in the novel is cultural value. Untu Hiu by Asti Pradnya Ratri is a Javanese novel that incorporates cultural elements. This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive method with a literary anthropology approach to examine the cultural elements contained within the novel Untu Hiu by Asti Pradnya Ratri. The data for this study consist of the analysis of documents, including words, phrases, clauses, and sentences found in the novel Untu Hiu by Asti Pradnya Ratri. The data collection for this study is conducted using document analysis with note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate the presence of seven cultural elements in the novel Untu Hiu by Asti Pradnya Ratri, including: 1) language in the form of speech levels and dialects of Javanese; 2) knowledge system in the form of knowledge about the Javanese time calculation system; 3) social organization in the form of kinship systems, village government systems, and fishermen's social groups; 4) life equipment and technology systems in the form of cooking utensils, transportation tools, communication tools, and clothing; 5) livelihood system in the form of batik trade; 6) religious system in the form of belief in God, religious rituals, and myths; and 7) arts in the form of batik, carvings, songs, and wayang.

Abstract

This research examines the values of kindness in the form of the supreme message of the Javanese contained in the novel Cinencang Lawe, and hence the novel's ability to affect the nation's character. The purpose of this research is to describe the supreme message in Tulus Setiyadi's novel Cinencang Lawe. This researcher utilized a qualitative descriptive method. In this research, there are two sorts of data sources: primary and secondary. The content of the novel Cinencang Lawe serves as the primary data source in this research. Journals, reference books, and the result of informant interviews represent types of secondary data sources. The sample in this research are empirical qualitative data, including passages from the novel Cinencang Lawe, as well as meaningful qualitative data, such as the interpretation of citations obtained from the novel Cinencang Lawe. Purposive sampling was utilized as a sampling method. Content analysis is used as a data collecting tool. The data analysis technique used interactive analysis, which included data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification. The values of the goodness supreme message presented in the novel Cinencang Lawe are the result of this research. The supreme message contains highly noble and amazing cultural values. The values represented in the supreme message can positively impact the nation's character.
