Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the literature related to the application and impact of herbal medicine in traditional and contemporary medicine in Indonesia. The research method used was a literature study, where data was collected through a systematic search of articles, journals, and scientific publications related to the use of herbal medicine. The results of the literature review showed that jamu has significant potential as an alternative and complementary medicine, especially in the treatment of diverse health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic diseases. Studies highlighted the importance of the diverse chemical composition of herbs, including active compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids and terpenoids, which contribute to their therapeutic effects. However, the study also underscores the importance of further research regarding standardization, effective dosing, and assessment of potential risks of jamu use to ensure safety and efficacy for users.

Abstract

The competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises through the process of registering a brand can be defined as their ability to improve their competitive position in the market by utilizing the strength of an officially registered brand identity. A registered brand provides legal protection, increases the added value of the product, builds consumer trust, and opens up opportunities to expand a larger market. By having a registered brand, micro, small and medium enterprises can differentiate themselves from competitors, build customer loyalty, and increase bargaining power in business negotiations, which ultimately contributes to increasing overall competitiveness in an increasingly competitive business environment. The research method used in this study uses a literature study. The research findings show that registering a brand has a positive effect on the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises. Some of the benefits obtained include: Increased product added value, Legal protection of intellectual property rights, Increased consumer trust, Ease of expanding the market and Increased bargaining power in business negotiations. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by micro, small and medium enterprises in the process of registering a brand, such as: Lack of understanding of the importance of brands, Limited access to information and registration procedures, Costs that are considered quite high by some micro, small and medium enterprises and Relatively long processing time. Thus, registering a brand is an important step to increase the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises in Pantai Sederhana Village and has the potential to be implemented in other areas. With the right support from various stakeholders, micro, small and medium enterprises can leverage the power of brands to strengthen their position in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

Brand identity development is crucial for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in the tourism industry, especially in Sederhana Beach Village, Muara Gembong District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. This beach village has great potential in tourism due to its natural beauty and charming local culture. However, MSMEs in the village are often faced with challenges in building a strong and attractive brand, hindering their business growth. The research method used in this study was sourced from the literature. The results show that a strong and attractive brand can attract more tourists, create a distinctive identity associated with natural beauty and local culture, and facilitate collaboration and promotion of the village as a complete tourist destination. Suggested business development strategies include coordinated brand management among local MSMEs, investment in training and guidelines on brand development, and support from local governments and relevant agencies in the form of technical assistance, funds, and coaching programmes. By implementing solid brand-based business development strategies, MSMEs in Pantai Sederhana Village can increase revenue, achieve sustainable business growth, and provide economic benefits to the local community. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of MSMEs in the tourism sector, particularly in maximising the potential of beach villages through effective brand management.

Abstract

Blockchain technology, with its decentralized architecture and underlying cryptography, offers a solution to secure and protect data more effectively than conventional systems. Every transaction recorded on a blockchain is first verified by a network of nodes together before it can be carried out, making surreptitious modification of data almost impossible. In addition, the cryptographic security features of the blockchain ensure that only interested parties can access the data, and the transparent transaction records can facilitate the audit process to be more precise and accurate. However, the implementation of blockchain technology is also faced with various obstacles. Issues such as capacity, data privacy, and regulation are the main challenges that need to be overcome to enable its wider adoption. Technical complexities and a lack of public understanding of the technology are also slowing down its acceptance in various industry sectors. Therefore, this research recommends a hybrid approach that combines traditional and blockchain technologies to create a more comprehensive and resilient data security solution.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the paradigm of education systems globally, forcing educational institutions to adapt to distance learning. The role of digital technology in this transition has become key to maintaining educational continuity. With schools and universities closing down, online learning and educational technology (EdTech) are gaining mainstream attention as the primary solution in overcoming physical barriers. Management learning platforms, web conferencing applications and online educational resources are rapidly growing and being used extensively. The results show that while technology has enabled the continuity of learning, there is still a significant digital divide that affects equity in education. Implications of this technology adoption include the need for more adaptive and inclusive education policies and improved infrastructure to support equitable learning. This study concludes that digital technologies are critical in facilitating distance learning during crises and have the potential to improve the quality and affordability of education in the future, provided challenges in access and skills are addressed.

Abstract

The application of nanomedicine technology in the treatment of chronic diseases shows a very promising potential to revolutionise conventional therapeutic approaches. Through their ability to improve drug bioavailability, more precise targeting, and controlled drug delivery, nanomedicines open up new opportunities in the management of chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. The advantages of nanomedicines in overcoming biological barriers, improving drug efficacy, and reducing side effects provide new hope for patients suffering from chronic diseases that have been difficult to treat with conventional methods. However, despite its great potential, the application of nanomedicines still faces significant challenges. Long-term safety issues, complexity in production and regulation, and high development costs are still major barriers to the widespread adoption of this technology. Further research, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the development of a comprehensive regulatory framework are required to overcome these challenges. With continued efforts in overcoming the existing barriers, nanomedicine has the potential to transform the landscape of chronic disease treatment, offering more effective and personalised solutions to millions of patients worldwide.

Abstract

3D printing technology has revolutionised healthcare, particularly in prosthetics and implants. This research examines the role and impact of 3D printing in developing medical solutions tailored to individual patient needs. The method used included a literature review. Results show that 3D printing enables more accurate, efficient and affordable prosthetics and implants. The technology also offers high design flexibility, enabling the creation of complex structures that are difficult to achieve with conventional methods. In addition, the integration of biocompatible materials and sensor technology opens up opportunities for more functional and responsive implants. Despite challenges such as regulation and standardisation, 3D printing has the potential to change the paradigm in healthcare, improve patients' quality of life, and pave the way for future medical innovations. Further research is needed to optimise materials, improve manufacturing precision, and address ethical and accessibility issues.

Abstract

In 2016, PT Ramaldi Praja Sentosa, a company specializing in aircraft parts procurement and component repair, was rocked by a severe financial crisis. This crisis was triggered by the embezzlement of funds by one of its directors, leading to the company's inability to meet its financial obligations and ultimately filing for bankruptcy. The Central Jakarta Commercial Court rejected the petition due to the failure to meet the formal requirement of written consent from creditors as per the Supreme Court Circular Letter (Surat Edaran Mahkamah Agung) SEMA Number 2 of 2016. The Supreme Court then upheld this decision in cassation No. 196 K/Pdt.Sus-Bankruptcy/2017. This analysis delves into the reasons for the rejection of the bankruptcy petition, based on the provisions in Law No.37 of 2004 regarding Bankruptcy and Suspension of Payment (UUK-PKPU) and SEMA No.2/2016. It also underscores the implications of creditors' inactivity in providing consent to the bankruptcy mechanism. This case serves as a clear instance of the Supreme Court's overreach, as it issued SEMA with unnecessary guidance that is not in line with Law No.37 of 2004 regarding Bankruptcy and Suspension of Payment.
