Abstract

This research explores the integration of local culture “Halaika” into the formal education system of the Boti Dalam community amidst the challenges of education digitalization. The Boti Dalam community faces a dilemma between the importance of formal education to prepare the younger generation for the times and concerns about the negative impacts of technology. One of the main challenges faced is how to integrate Halaika cultural values that emphasize harmony with nature and avoidance of excessive use of technology into the formal education curriculum without compromising the quality of education. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs) and participatory observation involving traditional leaders, parents, students and teachers. The results show that the Halaika teachings serve as a safeguard against the negative influence of the digitalization of education but also reveal challenges in integrating these traditional values into formal education. Although there is a growing awareness among the Boti Dalam community about the importance of local wisdom-based education, the main challenges faced are the lack of training for teachers as well as the limited resources available. Therefore, collaboration between educational institutions and the government, as well as the development of specialized training for teachers, is needed to create programs that support the integration of Halaika values.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi aplikasi edukasi Kipin School 4.0 dalam penguatan literasi digital di SDK 2 Eban. Latar belakang pengabdian ini didasari oleh pentingnya literasi digital di era Revolusi Industri 4.0, terutama di daerah yang memiliki keterbatasan infrastruktur dan akses terhadap teknologi. Kipin School 4.0 merupakan aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis Android yang menyediakan materi sesuai Kurikulum, seperti buku digital, video pembelajaran, latihan soal, dan komik literasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Observasi, Koordinasi, Sosialisasi dan Pemaparan Materi, Pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan subjek Guru dan Siswa kelas IV SDK 2 Eban. Pengumpulan data awal dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Kipin School 4.0 mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran dari rumah serta membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan literasi digital. Guru dan siswa menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kemampuan mengakses serta memanfaatkan konten digital untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar sehingga Aplikasi ini terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif yang mendukung siswa dalam mengakses dan memahami materi secara mandiri dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca, kemampuan memahami unsur cerita, serta keterampilan menulis siswa melalui program literasi berbasis novel di SMP Negeri Satu Atap Wela Pandang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua minggu, yaitu pada 06–26 Oktober 2025, dengan empat tahapan utama: sosialisasi manfaat literasi kepada siswa, pendampingan sebagai instruktur dalam kegiatan membaca dan menulis, supervisi selama proses literasi berlangsung, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Novel karya Tere Liye dipilih sebagai bahan bacaan karena memiliki alur yang runtut, penokohan yang kuat, serta mengandung nilai-nilai moral yang positif sehingga mudah dipahami oleh siswa dan mendukung pembentukan karakter. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat baca siswa, pemahaman terhadap unsur intrinsik cerita, serta kemampuan menulis melalui jurnal harian. Kegiatan ini juga menjadi respons terhadap kondisi darurat literasi di Nusa Tenggara Timur yang masih menghadapi keterbatasan fasilitas pendidikan dan rendahnya capaian kompetensi literasi. Dengan demikian, kegiatan PKM ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam menumbuhkan budaya literasi di lingkungan sekolah dan perlu dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan dengan melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan.

Mardiana Teku Nuwa. The Effect of Using ChatGPT on the Critical Thinking Skills of Tenth-Grade Students in Informatics Learning at SMA Kristen Citra Bangsa Mandiri Kupang. Study Program of Informatics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Citra Bangsa University, Kupang.Advisors: Mr. Jhon Enstein, S.Kom.,M.Cs and Dr. Maria M. B. Sogen, S.Kom., M.Pd. This study examines the influence of ChatGPT on the critical thinking skills of Grade X students in Informatics learning at SMA Kristen Citra Bangsa Mandiri Kupang. Using a quantitative quasi-experimental design, the research involved an experimental class using ChatGPT and a control class receiving conventional instruction. Findings show significant improvements in learning outcomes and critical thinking indicators in the experimental group. These results suggest that ChatGPT enhances reflective, analytical, and independent learning. The study emphasizes the importance of digital literacy and ethics to ensure that ChatGPT is used as a thinking tool rather than merely a source of answers effectively.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of integrating Google Site as an instructional medium on students’ learning interest in the Informatics subject at SMP Kristen Citra Bangsa Kupang. Using a quantitative experimental design with pre-test and post-test measures in control and experimental groups, data were collected through validated questionnaires and structured classroom observations. The results reveal a statistically significant enhancement in students’ learning interest following the implementation of Google Site, reflected in the increased post-test mean score (86.5) compared to the pre-test (72.3). These findings demonstrate that Google Site serves as an effective digital platform that fosters active participation, motivation, and engagement, ultimately creating a more interactive and student-centered learning environment.

Veronika Idelsi Mumur, 2025: Effectiveness of Using C++ Applications on Mobile Phones and Computers in Improving Basic Programming Skills of 10th-grade Students at SMAK Citra Bangsa Mandiri Kupang. Informatics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Citra Bangsa University, Kupang. Supervisors: Mr. John Einstein, S.Kom., M.CS., and Ms. Diana Y.A. Fallo, S.Kom., M.T. This study used a quantitative method with an experimental design (Experimental Class and Control Class). The experimental class (XC) received treatment using the Programiz C++ application on a mobile phone, while the control class (XD) used the Dev C++ application on a computer. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments. Data analysis used an Independent Sample T-Test to determine the difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. The results showed a significant difference in average learning outcomes between the group using mobile phones and the group using computers, with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.004 (p < 0.05). The average posttest score for the experimental class (mobile phones) was 85.75, significantly higher than the control class (computers), which had an average of 75.25. This improvement indicates that using the Programiz C++ application on mobile phones is more effective than using Dev C++ on computers.

The Influence of Learning Independence on Student Learning Outcomes in Informatics Subjects, Basic Network and Internet Material, Grade VII, Citra Bangsa Christian Middle School, Kupang. Informatics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Citra Bangsa University, Kupang. This study is entitled "The Effect of Learning Independence on Student Learning Outcomes in Informatics Subjects, Basic Network and Internet Materials, Grade VII of Citra Bangsa Kupang Christian Middle School". The aim is to determine the effect of learning independence on student learning outcomes in Informatics subjects, especially on Basic Network and Internet materials in Grade VII of Citra Bangsa Kupang Christian Middle School. Learning independence is one of the important factors that influence student success in understanding Informatics concepts that require logical, creative thinking skills, and problem-solving skills. This type of research is quantitative research with an associative approach. The population in this study were all grade VII students of Citra Bangsa Kupang Christian Middle School in the 2024/2025 academic year, with samples taken proportionally. Data collection techniques used questionnaires to measure the level of learning independence and learning outcome tests to determine the level of student mastery of Basic Network and Internet materials. Data analysis was carried out using a simple linear regression test to determine how much influence learning independence has on student learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate a positive and significant influence between independent learning and student learning outcomes in Informatics. This means that the higher the level of independent learning, the better the learning outcomes achieved. This finding emphasizes the importance of implementing learning strategies that encourage students to be more active, independent, and responsible for their own learning process. Therefore, schools and teachers are advised to continue developing learning approaches that can enhance independent learning in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes, particularly in Informatics at SMP Kristen Citra Bangsa Kupang.

Abstract

Abstrak merupakan gambaran lengkap terkait penelitian yang ditulis secara ringkas dan jelas. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kompetensi digital praktis siswa, seperti kekakuan motorik dasar dan lemahnya kemampuan troubleshooting mandiri, akibat dominasi metode konvensional yang berpusat pada guru di jenjang vokasi. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah implementasi media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis website yang mengintegrasikan Canva, Wayground, dan Kahoot, serta dilengkapi asisten virtual cerdas (AI Chat). Metode penyelesaian masalah menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif kuasi-eksperimen (Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design) yang dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Kupang dengan sampel sebanyak 72 siswa (36 kelas eksperimen dan 36 kelas kontrol). Kontribusi dari usulan ini adalah terciptanya ekosistem belajar mandiri yang mampu merangsang error-based learning tanpa ketergantungan fisik pada pendidik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengukur pengaruh penerapan media tersebut terhadap kompetensi digital siswa pada mata pelajaran Koding dan Kecerdasan Artifisial. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan rata-rata nilai post-test kelas eksperimen melonjak menjadi 88,44 dibandingkan kelas kontrol (61,31), dengan efektivitas N-Gain berkategori tinggi sebesar 70,98%. Pengujian hipotesis Mann-Whitney U menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,001. Kesimpulannya, integrasi media interaktif berbasis website memberikan pengaruh positif yang sangat signifikan dalam mendongkrak kemampuan teknis operasional dan kemandirian pemecahan masalah siswa SMK.
