Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the effect of using the PHET-assisted LKPD on students' understanding of the concept of electrical circuit material for class IX at MTs Negeri 8 Kampar. This study involved 15 students of class IX.1 MTsN 8 Kampar. The instrument used is LKPD in the form of a description. Data were collected through 3 learning stages using LKPD, namely, pre LKPD, during LKPD, and discussion. Each scattered item has 3 indicators, namely electric current, open circuit, and closed circuit. Then the research results were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that learning using LKPD assisted by PhET media was able to improve students' understanding of concepts in electrical circuit material. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of students' correct answers at the average percentage in each stage of learning.Keywords: LKPD, Phet simulation, understanding the concept

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis education for sustainable development pada materi pesawat sederhana kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D (Research and Development) yang memiliki beberapa tahapan yaitu potensi dan maslaah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, dan uji coba produk.Pada langkah-langkah penggunaan metode R&D peneliti hanya menggunakan langkah sampai revisi desain dikarenakan di dalam penelitian ini, peneliti hanya merancang, membangun, dan memvalidasi. Perangkat pembelajaran berbasis education for sustainable development  yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini berupa silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), lembar kerja siswa (LKS), dan evaluasi. Pengembangan pembelajaran ini telah divalidasi oleh pakar yang merupakan dosen Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Universitas Riau dan guru IPA SMP dan dinyatakan memiliki validitas sangat tinggi dengan nilai validitas sebesar 3,50 dari nilai maksimum 4 dimana rincian masing-masing parangkat adalah (1) Silabus memiliki nilai validitas sebesar 3,59 dengan kategori sangat tinggi (2) Rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) memiliki nilai validitas sebesar 3,48 dengan kategori sangat tinggi (3) Lembar kerja siswa (LKS) memiliki nilai valididtas sebesar 3,5 dengan kategori sangat tinggi (4) Evaluasi memiliki nilai validitas sebesar 3,43 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian perangkat pembelajaran ini layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran berbasis education for sustainable development pada materi pesawat sederhana kelas VIII SMP. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the influence of guided inquiry model learning to student multiple representations ability on work and energy subject. The kind of this study was a quasy experimental approached by using intact group comparison design. The population in this study was students grade X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru which consisted of four classes. Two classes were selected as the sample of this study based on normality and homogeneity test so that experimental and control class could be obtained. The data was collected by given a test about multi representation ability. The data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistic techniques. The result of this study shows that there was significant influence to multiple representations ability between experimental class which applied guided inquiry model learning and control class which applied conventional learning model. The multirepresentation ability of the experimental class is higher than control class. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model has a positive effect on the multiple representation ability of the students.Keywords : Guided inquiry model learning, multiple representations ability, work and energy

Abstract: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of physics learning by open-ended approach in lesson electric dynamic to students’ creative ability in class X5 IPA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. The subjects were students of class X5 IPA and class X3 IPA. Class X5 IPA as eksperiment’s class totalling 40 students, consisting of 12 male students and 28 female students. While class X3 IPA as control’s class totalling 39 students, consisting of 16 male students and 23 female students. The instrument of data collection in this study is the creative ability test consists of 4 essay questions. Analysis of the data in this study are a descriptive analysis to see an over view of the results of the students' physics creative ability by using the criteria of absorption and the effectiveness and it is a inferential analysis to know there is no difference between physics learning by open-ended approach with physics learning by conventional to students’ physics creative ability. The analysis of the data showed as absorption eksperiment’s class average is 77.19% with a good category, otherwise learning effectiveness declared in effective. While absorption control’s class average is 40,54% with a good less category, otherwise learning effectiveness declared in effective less and there is difference between physics learning by open-ended approach with physics learning by conventional to students’ physics creative ability. Nevertheless, it can be concluded that physics learning by open-ended approach is could be used in learning process class X5 IPA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: The propose of this study is to determine the level of students' conceptions change in momentum and impulse materials using POE learning model (predict-observe-explain) in class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The research was conducted from March to July 2017. The population of this research is all student of class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The sampling method used simple random sampling with a total sample of 48 students, the class X MIA 1 as an experimental class consists of 24 students and class X MIA 4 as the control class Totaling 24 students. Type of research is quasi experiment design with nonequivalent control group design. The data collection instrument used in this research is the initial and final diagnostic test consisting of 10 objective questions. Based on the data analysis in the control class the percentage of students who have the correct conception (level 2) before the learning is 29.85% and after learning with conventional learning obtained the percentage of students who have the correct conception is 54.16%. In the experimental class the percentage of students who have the correct conception (level 2) before the learning is 29.62% and after the learning by using the model of learning POE obtained percentage of students who have the correct conception is 57.17%. The increase of the percentage of students who have the correct conception on the control class is 24.31% and in the experimental class is 27.55%. So it can be concluded that the model of learning POE can improve student conception on the material momentum and impulse in class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Conception Rate Changes, Momentum And Impulse, Poe (Predict-Observe- Explain)

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study is to the result of student’s process skill of class XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru on the material of kinetic theory of gas with the application of instructional media. This form of research is Pre Experimental Design with One Shot Case Study design. The subject of this research is class XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Instrument of the data collection was test of the learning result of students process skill given to subject of the research after giving treatment in the form of learning process based on inquiry approach. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed average absorption. It can be concluded that the implementation of instructional media of gas kinetic theory in the form of experimental device based on inquiry approach can improve the learning result of students' process skill on the material of gas kinetic theory in SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru.Keywords : The Result of Student’s Process Skill, Learning Media, Inquiry Approach

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this reaserch is to find out The effectiveness ofmultirepresentation-based physics science learning application toward theunderstanding of light material concept at the VIII grade of SMPN 12 Pekanbaru. Thesample of this research is 39 students of the VIII grade. The research design is preexperimentalin the form of one shot case study. This research uses a test as theinstrument. There are 7 questions in the test based on the indicator of Bloom theoryconcept understanding. The data will be analyzed by using descriptive analysistechnique by looking at the learning result of students’ physics concept understandingby using the criteria of absorption and learning effectiveness. For the result, theresearcher gets the mean score of the students’ absorption is 81,68% which means thestudents are in good category. Based on all the indicators of concept understanding, itis found that the indicator of classifying is the highest indicator 98,72% (very good)while the indicator of comparing is the lowest 64,74% (good enough). Then, it can beconcluded that the application of multirepresentation-based physics science learning iseffective to be applied in light material at the VIII grade of SMPN 12 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Effectiveness, Understanding Of Concept, Multirepresentation

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to determine the effectiveness of implementation of physics learning by multiple representation through practicing students’ science process skills in lesson Newton’s law in class X IPA1 MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The subjects were students of class X IPA1 totalling 29 students, consisting of 8 male students and 21 female students. The instrument of data collection in this study is the process skills test consists of 8 essay questions. Analysis of the data in this study is a descriptive analysis to see an overview of the results of the students' learning skills by using the criteria of absorption, the effectiveness of learning, and students’ learning completeness. The analysis of the data showed: absorption class average is 81.68% with a good category, otherwise learning effectiveness declared in effective way, then completeness of learning’s students classically worth 86.21% and declared complete, completeness of lesson by 75% and declared incomplete. Nevertheless, it can be concluded that implementation of physics learning by multi representation is could be used in learning process class X IPA1 MAN 1 Pekanbaru.
