Abstract

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has made the implementation of learningunable to take place normally. Learning that is carried out online from home hasweaknesses that have an impact on students, namely students find it difficult tounderstand the subject matter, students' absorption of lessons is low and students'motivation to learn decreases. This study aims to determine the motivation to learnScience Physics for junior high school students during the Covid-19 pandemic inPekanbaru and the differences in motivation for learning Science Physics for juniorhigh school students during the Covid 19 pandemic between boys and girls inPekanbaru. The type of research is descriptive research with survey method. Thesubjects in this study were grade VIII junior high school students in five public schoolsand four private schools in Pekanbaru. The number of respondents from this study were204 students with 86 male students and 118 female students. The data collectiontechnique in this study was a questionnaire technique. The questionnaire was given tothe research sample via theplatform google form. The results showed that themotivation to learn Science Physics for junior high school students during the Covid-19pandemic in Pekanbaru was in the high category. The motivation to learn SciencePhysics between male and female students showed no significant difference in scores,and did not show that there was no significant difference between the motivation scoresof male and female students.Key Words: Students’ Motivation, The Covid-19 Pandemic, Online Learning.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to produce a cognitive test instrument based on Bloom Anderson's taxonomy on material elasticity and Hooke's law to measure students' cognitive abilities. This type of research used in research is Research and Development (R&D) by using a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Development and Dissemination). The research phase starts from defining and defining the development requirements, then continues the design phase by developing question indicators based on Bloom Anderson's taxonomy. The test questions developed were in the form of multiple choice consisting of 6 cognitive levels (C1-C6) totaling 18 items based on Bloom Anderson's taxonomy. After being developed, it was continued with question validation by 3 lecturers of Physics Education FKIP Riau University and 3 Physics teachers. The valid questions were limited to 36 students. The results of the analysis of the validation of the test instrument by the expert team showed that the cognitive test was categorized as very valid with a value of 80.5%. Based on a limited trial, it was found that the validity of the items from 18 questions was stated as 15 valid questions, and had a reliability value of 0.61 with a high level of reliability. So that the developed test instrument is used to measure students' cognitive abilities on material elasticity and Hooke's law.Keywords:development, test instruments, Bloom Anderson taxonomy, elasticity and Hooke's law

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of students' understanding of physics concepts in the interpretation of the indicator by using contextual learning at class XI SMAN 1 Gaung Anak Serka. The expected benefits of this research was to provide alternative learning to improved students' understanding of physics concepts and maximize the performance of teachers in achieving educational goals. This research was conducted on October 2014 to February 2015. The type of this research was a quasy experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects were two classes of XI IA at SMAN 1 Gaung Anak Serka there were class XI IA 1 as a control class with 23 students and class XI IA 2 as an experimental class with 24 students. From the data obtained there were differences in absorption and gain scores between the control and experimental classes. The average of absorption experiment class was 73.26% in medium category, while the average of absorption in the control class was 50.54% that was included in the category of very low. For the average of Gain score experimental class was 0.46 that was included in the medium category, while the average of Gain score control class was 0.13 that was included in the low category. So it can be concluded that contextual learning provided the improvement on students’ understanding of physics concepts interpretation indicators at class XI SMAN 1 Gaung Anak Serka.Keywords: understanding physics concepts, interpretation indicators, contextual learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penyebab miskonsepsi siswa pada pelajaran fisika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif metode survei. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes miskonsepsi dan angket minat belajar siswa. Dari hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh bahwa pada umumnya siswa mengalami miskonsepsi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pemikiran asosiatif rata-rata berkontribusi sebesar 80%, pemikiran  humanistik 83%, alasan yang tidak lengkap 12%, intuisi yang salah 86%, tahap perkembangan kognitif 85% dan kemampuan siswa 70% sedangkan minat belajar siswa tidak memberikan kontribusi atau memicu terhadap terjadinya miskonsepsi siswa Kata kunci : Penyebab Miskonsepsi, Tes miskonsepsi, Angket minat belajar

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran pada materi teori kinetik gas masih cenderung monoton, siswa tidak dilibatkan secara aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Hal ini menyebabkan kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep yang disampaikan pada materi ini. Guru harus mampu merancang kegiatan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada proses, sehingga siswa dapat mengembangkan keterampilan ilmiah yang dimiliki. Dalam hal ini proses pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan inkuiri sesuai untuk melatih siswa agar tercipta sikap aktif, berpikir kritis, mampu memecahkan masalah, sehingga tercapai hasil belajar yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar keterampilan proses siswa melalui penerapan media pembelajaran teori kinetika gas berdasarkan pendekatan inkuiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain One Shoot Case Study. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah tes hasil belajar keterampilan proses pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata daya serap keterampilan proses siswa berada pada kategori baik sebesar 74,95%. Tingkat keterampilan proses menunjukkan 81,25% siswa memiliki keterampilan dasar yang baik, sedangkan keterampilan terintegrasi adalah 68,75%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk perangkat eksperimental berdasarkan pendekatan inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar keterampilan proses siswa dalam materi teori kinetik gas.The learning process in the gas kinetic theory material is still practically monotonous; the students are not actively involved during the learning process. These things lead to students understanding of the concepts conveyed in this material. The teacher must be able to adjust the process-oriented learning activities, and allow students to develop their abilities. In this case, the inquiry-based learning process is appropriate to train students to be active, think critically, be able to solve problems, produce good results. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students' process skills through the implementation of gas kinetic theory learning media based on the inquiry approach. The method used in this research is One Shoot Case Study design. The subject of this research was class XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. An Instrument of the data collection was test of the learning result of learning process skills. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. The results showed the average absorption capacity of students' process skills was in a good category at 74,95%. The level of process skills shows 81,25% of students have good basic skills, while the integrated skills are 68,75%. It can be concluded that the implementation of learning media in the form of experimental devices based on the inquiry approach can improve the learning outcomes of student’s process skills in the material of the kinetic theory of gas.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika dipandang sebagai suatu proses untuk mengembangkan kemampuan konsep, prinsip maupun hukum-hukum fisika untuk mempertimbangkan strategi atau metode pembelajaran yang aktif dan efesien. Ketersediaan media pembelajaran fisika masih sangat minim. Adapun media pembelajaran yang dapat dikembangkan adalah video pembelajaran. Penelitian yang dijelaskan dalam artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa video pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Adobe After Effect pada materi Hukum Newton tentang Gravitasi kelas X SMA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE yang dimodifikasi hanya terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu tahap analisis, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Data kuantitatif berupa nilai validitas dari video pembelajaran dan data kualitatif didapat dari komentar dan saran para tim validator. Instrumen pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi video pembelajaran. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui validitas dari video pembelajaran dengan menggunakan formula Aiken’s V. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai indeks validitas Aiken’s V video pertemuan 1 sebesar 0.911, nilai indeks validitas Aiken’s V video pertemuan 2 sebesar 0.909, dan nilai indeks validitas Aiken’s V video pertemuan 3 sebesar 0.914. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa video pembelajaran menggunakan Adobe After Effect pada materi Hukum Newton tentang Gravitasi kelas X SMA dinyatakan valid berdasarkan aspek desain, aspek pedagogi, aspek isi, dan aspek teknikal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and practicality of gas kinetic theory learning devices oriented to 2013 physics curriculum. The place and time of the research was at the Laboratory of Physics Education FKIP University of Riau from June to November 2017. The object of this study was the developed learning devices based on the inquiry approach which includes experimental devices, Learning Plans and Worksheets. This type of research was four D models. Validation was carried out by 3 lecturers of Physics Education Study Program FKIP University of Riau and 2 SMA teachers from Pekanbaru. Limited trial was used to see the practical implementation in class XI IPA 3 of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The results of the data analysis obtained that the validity of the gas kinetic theory experimental instrument has very valid category with a logical validation value of 3,47. The validity of the Learning Plan is 3.73 in the very valid category, the validity of the Worksheet is 3.5 whit the very valid category. The practicality of the developed device is 94.1% with a very practical category. The conclusions of the results show that the gas kinetic theory learning devices of High School Oriented Curriculum 2013 were developed valid and high in practicality so that they could be used in physics learning in class XI SMA.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the practicality of Student Worksheets (LKS) physics learning at junior high school (SMP) for validated traditional culture-based tools. The topic of the LKS is simple machine. The method used in the study is a research and development. The research was conducted at the Junior High School in Pekanbaru which the data source was from three science teachers and thirty students of class VIII. The LKS practicalities data was obtained through questionnaires practicalities of the device which was given to teachers and students. The analysis of the data used descriptive analysis that is to categorize the average score on learning process. Based on the analysis of the data, the practicality of the LKS has an average with the excellent category for all aspects. This shows the LKS of physics learning at junior high school based on the traditional culture equipment on the topic of simple machine practical can be used as a medium of learning physics at junior high school.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning is no longer undertaken offline (outside the network) but online (in the network). This condition demands the informative and communicative media for learning activities. One of the media that can be directly interacting with students is learning video. The teacher needs to conduct a needs analysis to ensure the use of learning videos, especially those based on Explaindio. The research was conducted in a correlational quantitative approach. The action research was undertaken at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru with a sample of 36 students. The data collected from the questionnaire consisted of 10 items. Data analysis by substituting respondents’ results through descriptive statistics, Product Moment correlation, and t-test. The results of the analysis indicated that the importance of utilizing meaningful videos to meet the learning needs of students. Learning videos based on Explaindio provide space for teachers to design videos in accordance with their needs. Complete and communicative learning videos can provide meaningful information and experiences to students so that they have a positive impact on student learning progress.

Abstract

Hasil belajar kognitif salah satu aspek yang diperoleh dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengetahui pengetahuan peserta didik dilakukan uji kemampuan kognitif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan PhET dengan model problem based learning. Jenis penelitian yang di gunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen “nonequievalent control group design” dengan model prettest posttest control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas X IPA di SMA Negeri 1 Tambang tahun ajaran 2021/2022 sebanyak  90 peserta didik dengan sampel 59 peserta didik yang terdiri dari X IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes hasil belajar kognitif materi usaha dan energi yang terdiri dari 20 soal objektif. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif berupa daya serap dan analisis inferensial berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji paired sample t test dan independent sample t test dengan bantuan SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya serap pada kelas eksperimen lebih meningkat dari pada kelas control dan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif melalui model problem based learning berbantuan PhET lebih baik dari pada  model problem based learning.
