Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Human Resource Management (HRM) in improving graduate quality at Islamic Senior High Schools (MAN) in Bandar Lampung City by examining seven key HRM functions, namely human resource planning, recruitment and selection, training and professional development, performance evaluation, career development, teacher motivation and welfare, and Islamic work culture. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, in which data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that human resource planning is carried out through teacher needs analysis and workload mapping, enabling more appropriate teacher placement in accordance with curricular demands. Recruitment and selection are implemented rigorously through microteaching and structured interviews to ensure compatibility between teacher competencies and institutional values. Training and professional development are conducted continuously through workshops, MGMP programs, and internal mentoring, which significantly strengthen teachers’ pedagogical competencies. Performance evaluation functions as a basis for professional coaching, while career development motivates teachers to enhance their professionalism. Moreover, teacher motivation is shaped by recognition, a religious work atmosphere, and harmonious interpersonal relationships, whereas Islamic work culture supports character building and the creation of a positive learning environment. Overall, this study concludes that the integrated implementation of HRM functions significantly contributes to improving the quality of graduates at MAN schools in Bandar Lampung City.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap pengambilan keputusan di SMP Al Kautsar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi secara terstruktur. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi di SMP Al Kautsar yang tekanan pada nilai-nilai keagamaan, disiplin, dan kebersamaan memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap pengambilan keputusan, kepala sekolah berperan aktif dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kolaboratif, komunikatif, dan transparan, sehingga keputusan dibuat secara partisipatif dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak, termasuk guru, tenaga kependidikan, siswa dan komite sekolah. Budaya organisasi yang positif mendorong keterbukaan, rasa tanggung jawab, dan sinergi antar anggota sekolah, yang pada akhirnya memperkuat efektivitas manajemen sekolah. Dengan demikian budaya organisasi yang positif dan berbasis partisipasi tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pengambilan keputusan, tetapi juga mendorong efektivitas manajemen sekolah secara keseluruhan, serta menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif dan harmonis.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited research on learning management in the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, particularly at the madrasah level. It aimed to analyze the management of planning, implementation, and evaluation of PBL-based learning. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using an interactive model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and were validated through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that learning planning has integrated the syntax of the PBL model into instructional documents; however, its implementation has not been consistently carried out across all stages. Classroom management during group discussions requires improvement, particularly in role distribution and monitoring student participation. Although the evaluation process has addressed both learning processes and outcomes, it has not fully accommodated higher-order thinking skills indicators. This study implies that the effectiveness of PBL implementation is highly dependent on systematic and sustainable learning management practices.
