Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of problem based learning model viewed by students' mathematical communication skill. This research design was posttest only control group. The population of this research was all students of grade XIst of science of SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2014/2015 that was distributed into 5 classes. The samples of this research were students of XI IPA 4 and XI IPA 5 who were taken by purposive random sampling technique. This research data were data of mathematical communication skill. Based on the analysis of data, the proportion of students who have good mathematical communication skill in problem based learning model was more than 0,5 and higher than conventional learning. Thus, viewed by students' mathematical communication skill, problem based learning model was effective and more effective than conventional model.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model problem based learning ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 4 dan XI IPA 5 yang diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling.Data penelitian ini adalah data kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, proporsi siswa yang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis baik pada model problem based learning lebih dari 0,5 dan lebih tinggi daripada model konvensional. Dengan demikian, ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, model problem based learning efektif dan lebih efektif daripada model konvensional.Kata kunci: komunikasi matematis, model konvensional, problem based learning

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research that aims to improve the mathematical concepts understanding of class IX B Junior High School of Budi Karya Natar using cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together. Research carried out in two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection technique used test and observation at student of class IX B with total 24 people. The result showed that in the first cycle students tend to be passive. mathematical concepts understanding of students is relative low, although students conceptual understanding is better than previous learning. In the second cycle, students conceptual understanding is better than in cycle I. While the percentage of students who understand about the concept more than 70%, this is the case in cycle II students are more active and help each other in the learning process. The concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type NHT can improve understanding mathematical concepts of students.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas IX B SMP Budi Karya Natar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan pengamatan pada siswa kelas IX B sejumlah 24 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I siswa cenderung pasif. Pemahaman konsep matematis siswa rendah, meskipun pemahaman konsep siswa lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran sebelumnya. Pada siklus II pemahaman konsep siswa lebih baik dibandingkan pada siklus I. Sedangkan prosentase siswa yang memahami konsep lebih dari 70%, hal ini disebabkan pada siklus II siswa lebih aktif dan saling bekerjasama dalam pemecahan masalah saat belajar. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: Kooperatif, Numbered Heads Together, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis.

Abstract

This experimental research aimed to find out the influence strategy of REACT towards student's mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all grade seven students of Junior High School state of Satu Atap Tanjung Bintang in academic year of 2017/2018 which were distributed into four classes. The samples of this research were students of VII A and VII B class which were chosen by cluster random sampling. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical communication skill. The data analysis of this research used Mann Whitney U test. Based on the research, it was concluded that strategy of REACT influenced student's mathematical communication skill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penga-ruh strategi pembelajaran REACT terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Satu Atap tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang terdistribusi dalam 4 kelas. Sampel dari penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII A dan VII B yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes ke-mampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran REACT berpe-ngaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Kata Kunci: komunikasi matematis, pengaruh, strategi relating experiencing apllying cooperating transferring.

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of the learning model of TPS viewed by students understanding of mathematical concepts. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2013/2014 as many as 262 students and distributed into 7 classes. The samples of this research were students of VIIB class which were taken randomly. This research used one group posttest only design. The instrument of this research was test of mathematical conceptual understanding. Based on the analysis of data, the cooperative learning model of TPS type was ineffective viewed by understanding of mathematical concepts of students.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran TPS ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 262 siswa dan terdistribusi dalam 7 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIB yang diambil secara acak. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group posttest only design. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS tidak efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep matematis, pembelajaran kooperatif, TPS

Abstract

The samples of this research was students of VII.1 and VII.2 classes which were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. Research data were obtained through students mathematical communination skill test. The data analysis of this research used t test. Based on the result of the research, it could be concluded that problem based learning model was influence on increasing students mathematical communication skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aims to find out the effectiveness of Jigsaw cooperative learning model considered by student’s mathematical problem solving ability. The population of this research is eighth grade students in second semester of Junior High School State 13 Bandar Lampung in 2012/2013 academic years and as the samples are VIII.A and VIII.C, that are selected from eleven classes by using purposive sampling technique. Based on the analysis of the student’s mathematical problem solving ability, it is known that the ability of student’s mathematical problem solving with Jigsaw cooperative learning model is better than the ability of student’s mathematical problem solving with conventional learning, and also 65% or more students who are taught by Jigsaw cooperative learning model have achieved KKM. The conclusion from this research is Jigsaw cooperative learning model effective considered by student’s mathematical problem solving ability in eighth grade students of even semester Junior High School State 13 Bandar Lampung in 2012/2013 academic years. Keywords: Jigsaw, Problem Solving

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of guided discovery approach in terms of students understanding of mathematical concept. The design which was used was post-test only control design. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2015/2016. The purposive sampling technique was used to take two classes as the research samples. The data of this research were obtained by test of understanding of mathematical concepts. Based on the result and discussion, it could be concluded that guided discovery approach was effective in terms of students understanding of mathematical concept. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan penemuan terbimbing ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk mengambil dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan penemuan terbimbing efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pemahaman konsep matematis, penemuan terbimbing

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the comparison of students mathematical representations skill between think pair share and think talk write learning model. This research population was all students of grade 8th of SMP Mitra Bakti Bandar Sribhawono in academic year of 2014/2015 that was distributed into four classes. This research samples were students of VIII A and VIII B class who were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematical representations skill. Based on result of research, it was concluded that students mathematical representations skill in think talk write was higher than think pair share learning model.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa antara model pembelajaran think pair share dan think talk write. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Mitra Bakti Bandar Sribhawono tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII B yang diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aims to know the influencce of the implementa-tion cooperative learning mode type Make A match toward student’s mathemati-cal conseptual understanding of VII class in Junior High School State I Terbanggi Besar. The Design research used posttest control group design. The population of this research were all students in 7th grade of Junior High School State I Ter-banggi Besar in the Academic Year 2012 /2013. The sample were VII B as experiment class and VII A as control class that were chossen by Purposive sampling. Base on data analysis, it was conclude that the average of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding in class that was tought by Make A Match method was higher than in conventional class. Thus, there was influence of the implementation cooperative learning model type Make A Match toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Keywords: cooperatif Learning model type Make A Match, mathematical conceptual understanding.

Abstract

The Influence of Discovery Learning to Students Mathematical Communication Skills. This research aimed to examine the influence of discovery learning towards student’s mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Natar  in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year as many as 363 student’s that were distributed into 11 classes. The samples of this research were students of class VIII-D consist of 30 students and VIII-F consist of 30 students which were chosen by cluster random sampling technique. This research used the randomized pretest-posstest control group design. The research data were scores of the mathematical communication skill that were obtained through essay test of linear equations system with two variables. The data analysis of this research used Mann-Whitney  test. The results of this research concluded that discovery learning affects the student’s mathematical communication skill. Keywords : discovery learning, influence, mathematical communication
