This descriptive research aimed to describe learning process and the critical thinking skills of students that using Socratic learning with contextual approach. Subjects of this research were students of class X3, State Senior High School 17 of Bandarlampung in odd semester academic year 2012/2013 that consisted of 30 students. Based on the results of research, it was concluded that students' critical thinking skills belong to low criteria. It shown from the average of student learning outcomes at 53.33 and 83.33 from 30 students. During the learning process, it was known that Socratic contextual learning could lead students to be more active and daring to voice their opinions. Based on the results of the analysis of data it was concluded that, generally, students who active during the socratic learning had better results than students who less active.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Socrates dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X3 SMA Negeri 17 Bandarlampung semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa tergolong ke dalam kriteria rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 53,33 dan 83,33 dari 30 siswa. Selama proses pembelajaran diketahui bahwa pembelajaran Socrates kontekstual dapat memacu siswa untuk lebih aktif dan berani mengutarakan pendapatnya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa, secara umum siswa yang aktif saat pembelajaran menggunakan metode pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual menunjukan hasil yang cenderung lebih baik daripada siswa yang kurang aktif.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, pembelajaran Socrates dengan pendekatan kontekstual, proses belajar

This quasi-experiment research aimed to know the effectiveness of implementation of cooperative learning model of group investigation viewed from students mathematical conceptual comprehension. The population of the study was all students of grade VII of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2014/2015 which consist of four classes with the samples were students of VII A and VII D class which were selected by purposive sampling technique. The design which was used was posttest only control design. The data of students mathematical conceptual comprehension was obtained from essay test. The result of research showed that the implementation of cooperative learning model of group investigation was effective viewed by mathematical conceptual comprehension and more effective than conventional learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari empat kelas dengan sampel siswa kelas VII A dan VII D yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah posttest only control design. Data kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diperoleh dari tes uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dan lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: efektivitas, group investigation, pemahaman konsep

Base observing result on VIII class student D. SMP Country 2 Jati School Year Grand 2012/2013 acknowledged that activity and student concept grasp in processes learning still low. It is caused less effective it model that is utilized learns to involve active ala student in learning activity. To settle research does that problem action by applying kooperatif's learning model STAD type that aims to increase activity and mathematical concept grasp student. Action research brazes this is done in three cycles, one that each its cycle consisting of four activity phase which is: planning phase, performing phase, observing phase and reflection phase. Technics data collecting is opserfasi and essays. Base research result and study was concluded by learning with utilize kooperatif's model type STAD can increase activity and mathematics concept grasp student. That thing is proved of observing activity and concept grasp ability student on each cycle: (1) student average percentages which i. cycle actives, II., III. 64,87%, (2) average percentages that understand i. cycle concept, II.. This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning model of TPS type towards students mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was regular students of grade 9th of SMPN 1 Abung Selatan in academic year of 2013/2014. The samples of this research were students of IX-D and IX-F class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was post-test only control group design. Based on the result of this research, it was obtained that the students mathematical communication skills by cooperative learning model of TPS type was lower than conventional learning. Thus, it could be concluded that the cooperative learning model of TPS type has no positive affect towards the students mathematical communication skills.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX reguler SMPN 1 Abung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX D dan IX F yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih rendah daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: komunikasi matematis, konvensional, TPS

Think pair share is a type of cooperative learning that stimulates students to think. This quasi-experimental study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of think pair share type viewed of learning outcomes of mathematics of grade eight students of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar South Lampung second semester in academic year of 2012/2013. The study population was grade eight student of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar South Lampung as many as 121 students were distributed into 4 classes. The samples were students of class VIII-A and VIII-B who were taken by purposive sampling. The data were obtained by test of student learning outcomes at the end of the study. The conclusion of this study was cooperative learning model of think pair share type was effective to improve student learning outcomes of mathematics of grade eight student of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar South Lampung second semester in academic year of 2012/2013.Think pair share merupakan tipe pembelajaran kooperatif yang dapat merangsang siswa untuk berpikir. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share ditinjau dari hasil belajar matematika siswa siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar Lampung Selatan semester genap tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar Lampung Selatan sebanyak 121 siswa yang terdistribusi pada 4 kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A dan VIII-B yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar siswa di akhir penelitian. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share efektif diterapkan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar Lampung Selatan semester genap tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.Kata kunci: efektivitas, hasil belajar, think pair share

This research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning model of think-talk-write type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The population of this research was all of 8th grade students of SMPN 34 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2019/2020 with 207 students that distributed into seven classes. The sample of this research were student of VIII C which consist of 29 students and VIII D which consist of 29 students who were selected based on cluster random sampling technique. The pretest-posttest control group design was used as the design of this research. The research data were obtained by the essay test of mathematical conceptual understanding on topic of number pattern. t-test was used to analyze the data with significance level . The result of this research show that enhancement on understanding students' mathematical concepts of student who follow learning with think talk write higher than understanding students' mathematical concepts of student who follow learning with convensional.Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that cooperative learning model type TTW was influenced student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.

This research aimed to investigate whether the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS type could increase students mathematical communication ability. This research design was pretest-posttest control design. The population of this research was students of grade 8th of SMPN 9 Kota Metro in academic years of 2013/2014 which was distributed into seven class. The samples of this research were students in two classes who were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical communication ability. Based on hypothesis test, it was found conclusion that the implementation of TPS learning model did not increase students mathematical communication ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 9 Kota Metro tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam tujuh kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa pada dua kelas yang diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. This quasi experimentalresearch aims to knowthe effectivenes of cooperative learning of Student Teams Achievement Division(STAD) type considered by student’s mathematicalconceptual understanding. This reseach uses apretest-posttest control groupdesign. The population ofthis research was eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in the academic year2012/2013 as many as 320 students who distributed into nine classes. Sample was taken by purposive sampling. Based on data analysis, it was gotten that gain of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of in cooperative learning of STAD type was as same as conventional learning, and also the study completeness percentage in cooperative learning of STAD type doesn’t reach the target. The conclusion was cooperative learning STAD type was not effective considered by student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipeStudent Teams Achievement Division (STAD) ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam pene-itian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 320 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam sembilan kelas. Sampelpenelitian diambilmenggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD sama dengan peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran konvensionaldanpersentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD tidak mencapai target.
