Abstract

This research investigates how the leadership style of school principals, teacher commitment, and the organizational culture affect teacher discipline in Public Elementary Schools in the Banyumas District, Pringsewu Regency. The study uses a quantitative approach and includes 122 public elementary school teachers as participants. Data was collected through questionnaires, and analysis involved regression tests to assess normality, heteroskedasticity, multicollinearity, and data linearity. The findings show that both transformational leadership of the school principal and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on teacher discipline. Moreover, when combined, these factors also positively and significantly influence teacher discipline.

Abstract

The education quality development model is a systematic approach designed to enhance the quality of education within a learning institution. Its primary objective is to elevate the standards and effectiveness of teaching, thereby creating a more conducive learning environment for students, educators, and other stakeholders in education. Several widely employed models aim to enhance educational quality, including Total Quality Management (TQM), Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Six Sigma, the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and Edward Sallis. The main focus of this essay is to provide an in-depth definition and understanding of Edward Sallis and explore topics closely associated with the educational quality development model from his perspective.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the influence of the transformational leadership style of school principals and organizational culture on teacher performance in schools. The articles used in this literature review were obtained through Google Scholar by using keywords such as "transformational leadership," "organizational culture," and "teacher performance." Based on the literature review findings, the researchers discovered that transformational leadership style and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on teacher performance.

Abstract

The society 5.0 era is collaborative process of technology that becomes the power for every human being to carry out various activities. The aim of carrying out this service activity to provide understanding and knowledge as well as the readiness of school principals which must be designed to improve the quality of education in the society 5.0 era through transformational leadership. So that the specific target achieved is that participants can understand and apply the school principal's transformational leadership model to improve the quality of education in the era of society 5.0. The methods used to achieve the above goals and targets include lectures, brainstorming and discussions, role playing, and document analysis. The service results show that the average post-test percentage score for training participants is 76.21, the meaning was increased compared to the pre-test results for training participants is 72.06. Meanwhile, the average percentage increase in training participants' abilities from pre-test to post-test increased by 22%. In conclusion, teachers' understanding of the transformational leadership training model for school principals in the society 5.0 era was implemented well and optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and to examine the influent of visionary leadership and total quality management through organizational culture on the competitive advantage of education quality at Private Islamic Junior High Schools (MTs.) in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. This research includes quantitative research of the ex-post facto type with a sample of 205 teachers through proportional random sampling. The data collection through documentations and questionnaires, then the results were analyzed by using correlational research methods through regression analysis, path analysis, and Sobel test. The results showed that both directly and indirectly, the variable: visionary leadership, total quality management, and organizational culture partially and simultaneously have the positives and the significant influents on competitive advantage. In percentage terms, competitive advantage is influenced by: visionary leadership is 34.2%, total quality management is 48.8%, organizational culture is 79.8%, and of the three variables are 91.2%, if visionary leadership, total quality management, and organizational culture increase, so that the competitive advantage will also increase.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the impact of principal leadership, work motivation, and work discipline on the performance of educational staff in state junior high schools within Tulang Bawang Regency. The research employs an ex post facto quantitative approach with a population of 153 educational staff members. Through proportional random sampling, 111 participants were selected for the study. Data collection involved the use of questionnaires, and subsequent analysis included prerequisite regression tests such as normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and linearity. The findings reveal noteworthy outcomes: (1) Principal leadership significantly and positively influences the performance of educational staff. (2) Work motivation exhibits a positive and significant impact on the performance of educational staff. (3) Work discipline similarly demonstrates a positive and significant influence on educational staff performance. (4) Simultaneously, principal leadership, work motivation, and work discipline collectively exert a positive and significant influence on the performance of educational staff. This research contributes valuable insights to educational management literature by establishing the crucial role of leadership, motivation, and discipline in enhancing the performance of educational staff. Based on these findings, recommendations are made for educational institutions to focus on strengthening these factors to optimize staff performance, ultimately improving overall educational quality.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of academic supervision by the school principal and work motivation on teachers' professionalism. Employing a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, the research encompasses all junior high school teachers in South Lampung Regency. A sample of 130 teachers was obtained through simple random sampling. Data collection involved distributing questionnaires, and the analysis used simple linear regression. The findings reveal that both academic supervision by the school principal and work motivation have a positive and significant impact on teachers' professionalism. Specifically, in State Junior High Islamic Schools in South Lampung Regency, increased academic supervision by the head of the madrasah correlates with higher levels of teachers' professionalism. Similarly, increased work motivation corresponds with enhanced teacher professionalism. Therefore, the study recommends that school principals enhance the quality of academic supervision and foster greater work motivation among teachers to achieve higher professionalism.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan menjadi kunci utama kemampuan kognitif, seperti halnya kelompok pra lanjut usia atau lansia. Membangun kemampuan kognitif seperti mengenal aksara menjadi dasar dalam membangun komunikasi yang baik. Dalam hal ini, diperlukan suatu rangsangan seperti halnya Flashcard. Media ini menjadi alat alternative untuk merangsang ingatan lansia dengan menebak huruf dan kosakata di dalamnya. Metode yang dilaksanakan meliputi 3 rangkaian. Seperti; penyuluhan, tanya jawab dan pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh sebanyak 14 responden mengalami peningkatan setelah dilakukanya penelitian dan 6 responden lainya tidak mengalami peningkatan kemampuan kognitif. Hasil yang dapat disimpulkan dari kegiatan ini adalah: Flashcard menjadi alat alternative membantu para lansia dalam keadaan buta aksara. Kata Kunci: Flashcard, Buta Aksara, Lansia  ABSTRACT Education is the primary key to cognitive skills, as is the case with pre-age or elderly groups. Building cognitive abilities like character recognition is the basis for building good communication. In this case, we need a stimulus like the Flashcard. These media become an alternative tool to stimulate elderly memory by guessing the letters and vocabulary in them. The method applied covers three sets. Like; discernment, questioning and training. The results obtained by 14 respondents improved after the study and the other 6 respondents did not experience any improvement in cognitive abilities. Abstract

The publication trend regarding multicultural education studies has been increasing in three last decades. Nevertheless, systematic studies providing comprehensive bibliographic and bibliometric review related to this issue has not been performed nor also reported in the electronic journals or conference proceeding. A systematic review combined to bibliometric analysis was used to present global trends and future directions in educational researches related to multicultural education. 284 eligible documents from Scopus database published in 2001–2023 were involved as the data. Results revealed that in the period of 2001–2023, publication trend of multicultural education studies slightly soared while citation trend on the documents regarding multicultural education studies relatively fluctuated. The productive and influential documents, authors, countries, institutions, and sources contributed most to the development of multicultural education studies. Moreover, a lot of authors and institutions in the world jointly worked and also generated research networking in conducting the studies of multicultural education, mainly authors come from United States and educational institutions located in United States. Additionally, at least there are several major emerging themes related to multicultural education studies such as methodology, learning environment, main topic in multicultural education, affective and cognitive domain, participant, and theoretical framework. The future researches related to this topic should develop valid, practical, and effective learning models for multicultural competence referring to culturally responsive transformative teaching approach.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is closely associated with important and positive work attitudes, particularly job satisfaction. In the school context, this means that principals need to act as leaders who use transformational styles to improve educational outcomes through teacher job satisfaction to improve outcomes in education through teacher job satisfaction. In Indonesia, empirical research on the effect of transformational leadership on the level of teacher job satisfaction. Thus, this article aims to explore the influence of transformational leadership on teacher job satisfaction. This research uses the literature review method by reviewing national and international journal articles from Google Scholar, focusing on articles published from 2018 to 2024. There were 28 articles used as references.  The review conducted shows that transformational leadership leadership has a significant effect on the level of job satisfaction of teachers job satisfaction. This article is expected to enrich theoretical knowledge about the influence of transformational leadership on teacher job satisfaction and become a reference for further research.
