Abstract

The curriculum is a central component of educational implementation, serving as a guide for the learning process. However, the existing Islamic Religious Education curriculum remains general and normative and has not yet fully addressed society's real needs and global challenges. This article proposes an alternative approach to developing an Islamic Religious Education curriculum, grounded in research and local wisdom, as a strategic effort to enhance its relevance, contextualization, and applicability to students' lives. This study employs a library research method by analyzing relevant literature, journals, and documents. The findings indicate that a research-based curriculum can present learning grounded in data, empirical evidence, and real-world problem-solving. Meanwhile, the integration of local wisdom, which constitutes an essential part of local community needs, enables the curriculum to be more attuned to the culture, potential, and challenges of the surrounding community, thereby allowing Islamic values to be internalized more effectively and meaningfully. An Islamic Religious Education curriculum grounded in research and local wisdom serves not only as a learning guide but also as an instrument for shaping a religiously critical, moderate, and broad-minded generation without compromising Islamic and national identity. Therefore, developing an Islamic Religious Education curriculum grounded in research and local wisdom is crucial to improving educational quality and strengthening community empowerment in the modern era.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the decision of the minister of education, culture, research and technology number 262/M/2022 on the independent curriculum regarding learning principles and their relevance to the concept of Islamic education. This research method is descriptive analysis of ministerial decisions, the concept of Islamic education according to Islamic education experts guided by the messages of the Prophet, previous research which contains the principles of learning. The results of the study stated that the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology No. 262/M/2022 contains learning and assessment. The five principles contained in Decree number 262 / M / 2022 are learning designed by considering the stage of development, level of achievement of students, lifelong learning design, encouraging self-reflection and carried out holistically. Learning is designed and implemented to build the capacity of lifelong learners by encouraging them to do holistic reflection.

Abstract

Morals are important to discuss because morals are the main pillar of human life. This study aim to assess the impact of comprehending the Book of Washoya Al Abaa’ lil Abnaa’ on the moral development of students at the Al Hidayah Modern Islamic Boarding School Riau. This research is quantitative associative, employing a proportionate stratified random sampling technique involving 232 students from the Al Hidayah Modern Islamic Boarding School Riau. This study employs sederhana regression analysis as its data analysis technique. The study's results indicate that the first hypothesis is supported, as the t-count value exceeds the t-table value (4.475 > 1.65145), and the significance value of the t-count is less than the alpha level set at 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). It can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is significantly accepted, indicating that comprehension of the Washoya Al Abaa' lil Abnaa' Book has a substantial impact on the morals of the students at Al Hidayah Riau Islamic Boarding School. The correlation coefficient between the variable of comprehension of the Washoya Al Abaa' lil Abnaa' Book (X1) and the morals variable (Y) is 0.409. This figure indicates a moderate correlation between the variable of comprehension of the Washoya Al Abaa' lil Abnaa' book (X1) and the morals variable (Y), as the computed r value is 0.409, which exceeds 0.05. The second hypothesis indicates that the calculated t value (-1.443) is less than the critical t value (1.65145), and the significance value of the calculated t (0.150) exceeds the alpha level of 0.05.
