Abstract

Puutobu merupakan salah satu jabatan tradisional yang memiliki pengaruh sangat besar dalam urusan adat dan budaya pada masyarakat Suku Tolaki. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pola pewarisan dan manfaat kepemimpinan Puutobu bagi masyarakat Tolaki di Desa Tiraosu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola pewarisan kepemimpinan Puutobu pada masyarakat Tolaki memiliki pewarisan melalui beberapa tahap belajar diantaranya bimbingan langsung dari Puutobu terdahulu, menghadiri kegiatan pelaksanaan adat di masyarakat, dan melaksanakan Kegiatan Adat Melalui Bimbingan Puutobu. Manfaat kepemimpinan puutobu bagi masyarakat Tolaki diantaranya Sebagai suri teladan, sebagai generasi tua yang ahli di bidang adat, sebagai pemimpin yang dihormati dan dicintai, serta Puutobu sebagai penegak hukum adat Tolaki.

Abstract

Farming rice fields in the Muna ethnic group is full of hidden knowledge but not all people understand this, so this study was written with the aim of identifying and describing traditional knowledge before and after planting rice fields in the Muna Ethnic in Labulu-Bulu Village, Parigi District, Muna Regency. This type of research data in the form of qualitative data provided by the informant. The results of this study indicate that Traditional Knowledge in upland rice cultivation is belief in site selection, ritual implementation, timing of planting, belief in geographical conditions or conditions, and understanding of farmers who usually cultivate field rice using traditional tools.

Abstract

The sapulei tradition is a tradition originating from the village of Gunung Sejuk wich is used to treat a skin disease called humendeno. The purpose of this study was to describe the form of traditional sapulei medicane. To analyze the function of the sapulei tradition. The method used in the research is descriptive method using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The technique of determining informants in this study was carried out by purpose sampling. Activities in data analysis are collecting data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the form of sapulei treatment is its implementation using several nedia such as water (e’e), coconut milk (kunde’e coconut milk), and rubbing oli (mina goso). The existence of the sapulei tradition is a function of solidarity and a function of religion ehich is a factor of survival of sapulei. The aspect of being threatned with extinction is the existence of a modern medical system that causes change in peolple’s mindets.

Abstract

Kasundu traditional medicine is a disease caused by ancestral spirits or dead people, which cannot be treated through medical personnel but only with traditional medicine. The purpose of the study was to determine the community's knowledge of kasundu and its treatment and to describe the process and meaning of traditional kasundu medicine. The method used in this research is qualitative research with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the public's knowledge of the causes and effects of kasundu and its treatment. Characteristics of kasundu pain are high fever, headache, vomiting, thrashing or crying unstoppable (children sufferers). Usually the disease will feel more painful in the afternoon or midnight. According to the knowledge of the people of Kusambi Village, kasundu treatment cannot be cured through medical personnel but by using traditional medicine. The traditional kasundu treatment is divided into two parts, namely the pamole stage and the kafoampe stage. Each section has stages consisting of the preparation, implementation and finalitation.

Abstract

The Kaago-ago tradition is a tradition carried out before the change of seasons which is held twice a year and plays a role in preventing disease. The purpose of this study was to describe its existence and analyze the development of the Kaago-ago Tradition in Wakorambu Village, Batalaiworu District, Muna Regency. The results of this study indicate that the background of the Kaago-ago tradition in the Muna community is a spirit who lives in two places, namely in the west and east. According to the local people's belief that every time there will be a change in the west season or east season, all kinds of diseases caused by the actions of spirits appear so that the Kaago-ago tradition is carried out as a ritual to prevent disease from entering the community. The development of the Kaago-ago tradition can be seen from the place where it was implemented, which used to be in the middle of Wakorambu village, but now it is held in the mosque. The effort to maintain the Kaago-ago tradition is by routinely carrying out the Kaago-ago tradition every year, involving the entire local community and studying the Kaago-ago tradition so as not to forget it.

Abstract

The Kabasano Sumanga tradition is a tradition used by the Muna community to pray for the souls of deceased family members to rest in peace and not disturb the living family. The aim of this study is to identify the process, functions, and factors that affect the change in the Kabasano Sumanga tradition among the Muna community. The method used in this study is qualitative, by collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review, then analyzing the data. The results of the study show that the process of implementing the Kabasano Sumanga tradition begins with visiting the grave and haroa. The implementation of Kabasano Sumanga has personal, social, and religious functions. Factors that can affect changes in the Kabasano Sumanga tradition include population migration, economy, education, and understanding factors.

Abstract

The Kaefoilaha Ndoke ritual is a ritual carried out in a garden that has been planted with various kinds of plants which are the source of the community's survival, but now it is starting to be abandoned. This study aims to describe the implementation process, function and to analyze the meaning contained in the Kaefoilaha Ndoke ritual in the garden. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that there are three implementation processes, namely, the preparation stage of tools and materials, the implementation stage such as cutting and splitting ginger, wrapping ginger using corn husks, kaefoilaha ndoke, and planting ginger. The three final stages are: storing water bottles in the kafematai and sprinkling them around the garden. There are three functions of the kaefoilaha ndoke ritual, namely preservation, religion, and the function as a lifeline.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the study of falia is important to investigate because it contains several values of local wisdom in a society, therefore the purpose of this research is to identify the form of falia for pregnant women and to describe the meaning and function of falia for pregnant women in Loghyia Village, Muna Regency. The method used is qualitative research method. The informants in the research consist of traditional leaders, community leaders, and traditional birth attendants (bhisa). The results of this research indicate that the oral tradition of falia for pregnant women is still maintained. The form of falia for pregnant women includes falia in the form of words or speech and falia in the form of actions. The meaning of falia for pregnant women is love, cultural and traditional social values, discipline, and health meanings. Meanwhile, the main function of falia is education, order, and behavior control

Abstract

Traditional healing is becoming increasingly concerning, yet it remains an alternative way to heal for the Bugis tribe in Tumbudadio Village. This study aims to understand the process, analyze the function, and uncover the inheritance pattern of rawukeng (demon's spear) healing in the Bugis tribe. This study is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interview, and documentation then analyzed using data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion/data verification. The results of the study show that rawukeng traditional healing is still maintained as a legacy from the ancestors of the Bugis tribe. The inheritance pattern is passed down through the family or genetics, participating in rawukeng traditional healing, learning healing techniques, and observing traditional rawukeng healing that is imitated during the implementation.

Abstract

The Hepatirangga tradition is a tradition on the night of lailatul qadar or the twenty-seventh night (27th) until the night of Eid where to produce a redder color. The implementation of hepatirangga is carried out at night so that the results are better. Location of Pongo Village, Wangi-Wangi District, Wakatobi Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out by direct observation, interviews with informants and documention. Determination of informants using purposive sampling. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis by covering data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the process of implementing the hepatirangga tradition consists of several stages of implementation, namely equipment. The purpose of the equipment stage is to emphasize the equipment and materials related to the tradition being carried out. equipment, tools and materials referred to here are very important and must be met during implementation. hepatirangga so that this tradition is carried out. The tools and materials referred to here are knives or scissors, raffia rope, wheel leaves or plastic bags, blender or mortar, and patirangga leaves. The implementation stage, in the implementation of the hepatirangga tradition, is carried out at night. The final stage is after all the processes are complete, then leave it overnight and open it at dawn. The meaning contained in the hepatirangga tradition is the meaning of letting go of patirangga before dawn, tightening kinship ties, as a connecting medium with ancestors such as beauty/aesthetics, solidarity values (togetherness), and religious cultural values.
