Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated learning approaches in class V SKI subjects at MI Al-Adli and MI Munawariyah Palembang. The research employed a qualitative approach with a multisite method, incorporating in-depth interviews, structured observations, and document analysis with participants including madrasah heads, deputy heads of curriculum, teachers, conducteddents. Data analysis involved using thematic analysis, categorization, and cross-case analysis to identify similarities and differences in implementation in the two madrasas. The results showed that teachers had implemented differentiation of content, processes, and products. However, the implementation was not fully optimal due to limitations in diagnostic assessments, learning facilities, and the application of differentiation. Differentiation can enhance learning motivation, historical understanding, and active student participation. These findings reinforce the importance of implementing differentiated learning in SKI and show the need to ensure consistent and sustainable implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of students’ religious character in the digital era in terms of challenges and implementation strategies in schools. The research employs a literature review method using secondary data sources, including textbooks, reputable national and international journals, conference proceedings, research reports, and educational policy documents. Data were collected through the inventory, selection, and documentation of relevant literature. Data analysis utilized content analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that strengthening students’ religious character in the digital era faces multidimensional challenges arising from technological developments and changes in social behavior. Exposure to digital content that is inconsistent with religious values, invalid religious information, and excessive gadget use weakens spiritual awareness, worship practices, empathy, and mutual respect. These conditions are exacerbated by predominantly cognitive-oriented learning, low digital literacy among educators, and inconsistencies in school religious culture. Therefore, strengthening religious character requires holistic, adaptive, and sustainable strategies within the context of modern education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the kaisa approach has a significant effect on the ability of SDN 54 Palembang's grade II pupils to comprehend and analyze Qur'anic passages in Islamic Religious Education classes. The kaisa method assists individuals in learning and understanding the meanings of the Qur'anic verses by employing limb movements that are specific to each verse. Quantitative research with an experimental foundation falls under this heading. Its research methodology was a single group pre-test post-test design. This study included a sample of 28 students from SDN 54 Palembang's class IIB. The data was gathered through observation, documenting, and testing. The data analysis method uses both normality and hypothesis testing. Students' ability to memorize and translate Qur'anic verses was 4 individuals, or 14% of the high category, 17 people, or 61% of the medium category, and 7 people, or 25% of the poor category, with a mean score of 62.14 before the kaisa method was used. Following the application of the kaisa method, five individuals, with a mean score of 85.71, fell into the poor category for the ability to memorize and translate the verses of the Qur'an, while six students, or 21% of the total, fell into the high group and 17 individuals, or 61%, into the medium category. The paired sample t-test findings show that when the Sig value (2-tailed) is 0.000, which means 0.000 <0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. During Islamic Religious Education and Cultivation, class II pupils at SDN 54 Palembang showed that using the kaisa approach improved their ability to memorize and translate Qur'anic passages.

Abstract

Teachers have a strategic role in determining learning methods that can facilitate students to achieve learning objectives optimally. The selection of learning methods needs to be adjusted to the characteristics of the material and the objectives to be achieved. This study aims to describe the ability of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in developing learning methods, analyze supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of these methods, and examine the implementation of learning methods used by PAI teachers in Junior High Schools (SMPN) throughout Palembang City. This study is field research with a descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach so that data is obtained empirically. The research location includes SMPN spread across the Districts of Kemuning, Ilir Barat I, Ilir Barat II, Ilir Timur I, and Ilir Timur II Palembang City. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis used the stages of data reduction, verification, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers in SMPN throughout Palembang City have fulfilled the elements of pedagogical competence as stated in the national education standards. This is reflected in learning practices that are in accordance with the indicators of teacher pedagogical competence. Supporting factors for developing learning methods include the availability of facilities and infrastructure, textbooks, classroom conditions, and the teacher's role as an educator. Inhibiting factors include leadership style, teacher personality and insight, limited opportunities to understand students' characteristics and backgrounds, family circumstances, and limited facilities. PAI teachers' efforts to develop learning methods at junior high schools throughout Palembang include presenting engaging, communicative, and enjoyable learning experiences.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that play a crucial role in nurturing future generations who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess strong religious values. The process of adapting new students to the unique and structured rules and culture of an Islamic boarding school is of utmost importance. Inadequate adaptation can hinder students' success in adapting to boarding school life. The research problem focuses on how the Awwalussanah Programme functions as a means of adaptation for new students at the An-Nur Lempuing OKI Islamic Boarding School and the factors influencing the programme's effectiveness. The research objective is to describe and analyse the implementation of the programme in relation to the adaptation process of new students. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from key informants such as the Head of Education, supervisors, teachers, and new students. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions, with data validity tested using source triangulation and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the Awwalussanah Program is effective as a means of adaptation for new students, although there are challenges such as time constraints and the diversity of students' backgrounds, which influence the adaptation process. This program helps students adjust to the boarding school environment through various orientation activities and mentoring. The Awwalussanah Programme plays a significant role in facilitating the adaptation process for new students at the An-Nur Lempuing OKI Islamic Boarding School, with recommendations for improving time management and adopting an inclusive approach in programme implementation.
