Abstract

Community service activities are a series of activities that involve the community to improve skills and knowledge as well as empower the community both economically and socially. In this research, community service focuses on interactive outreach about the importance of healthy and nutritious food to students at Muhammadiyah Middle School 61 Tanjung Selamat, In this research, the counseling method was used with an Education and Training approach to students at SMP Muhammadiyah 61 involving 50 students in grades 8 c and d. The results of this activity show a positive impact in increasing students’ knowledge and understanding regarding healthy and nutritious food. In the aspect of knowledge about Healthy and Nutritious Food there has been an increase of 56%, students are better able to know what healthy and nutritious food is and its purpose. Why we should eat healthy and nutritious food. Furthermore, knowledge about Healthy and Nutritious Food Components has increased by 74% where students are able to identify important components in healthy food such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber and vitamins and minerals. In conclusion, healthy and nutritious food is an indicator of clean, healthy living behavior at school. This counseling can provide practical experience to students, so that they can apply this knowledge in everyday life. And it is hoped that students will prioritize eating healthy food, especially healthy snacks, bringing lunch and breakfast every day before doing activities.

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers with teachers in grade IV of SD Negeri Simbune, the variables of sources or learning media used by teachers in the learning process of science and technology cause students to be less interested in the subject matter taught. Environmental factors that can interfere with students' concentration in receiving learning materials. So that the response from students is less active and less enthusiastic in following the learning process with traditional methods. The objectives of this researcher are: 1) To develop interactive PowerPoint media that can be used in science learning, and 2) To describe the process of developing interactive PowerPoint media for science and science subjects in grade IV students at SDN 1 Simbune, Simbune Village, Tirawuta District, East Kolaka Regency. The results and conclusions in this research and development are: 1) The validity of PowerPoint-based interactive learning resources in the science science subject taught in grade IV of SD Negeri 1 Simbune with an average validity of 92.71%., and 2) Interactive learning media using PowerPoint for teaching science science to grade IV students of SD Simbune proved to be very practical, with students completing 89.79%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peneliti yang tertarik dengan evaluasi hasil belajar siswa di dunia Pendidikan dan menyadari bahwa sebagian guru belum mampu menganalisis pembelajaran secara optimal. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk menganalisis butir soal PAS mata pelajaran PPKn di MAN 2 Sleman menggunakan program Iteman 3.0. Metode yang diakukan berbentuk kuantitatif dengan populasi 191 siswa kelas XI dari 6 kelas. Analisis data mencakup tingkat kesukaran soal, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kesukaran soal: mudah sebanyak 10 dari 40 soal (25%), sedang sebanyak 21 soal (52,5%), dan sukar sebanyak 9 soal (22,5%). Daya pembeda: tinggi sebanyak 14 soal (35%), sedang sebanyak 19 soal (47,5%), rendah sebanyak 6 soal (15%), dan sangat rendah sebanyak 1 soal (2,5%). Efektivitas pengecoh yang berfungsi adalah 115 dari 160 opsi (71,9%), sementara yang tidak berfungsi sebanyak 45 opsi (28,1%). Secara keseluruhan, soal memiliki kualitas baik dengan tingkat kesulitan sedang, daya pembeda baik, dan efektivitas pengecoh yang berfungsi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis peneliti yang menyatakan bahwa soal memiliki karakteristik tidak baik harus ditolak, karena soal ternyata berkualitas baik.This research was motivated by the researcher's interest in evaluating students' learning outcomes in the education sector and the realization that some teachers have not been able to analyze learning optimally. The purpose of this study is to analyze the items of the End of Semester Assessment for the subject of Pancasila and Citizenship Education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman using the Iteman 3.0 program. The research method is quantitative, with a population of 191 eleventh-grade students from 6 classes. Data analysis includes item difficulty level, discriminating power, and the effectiveness of distractors. The research results show the difficulty level of the questions: easy (10 out of 40 questions or 25%), moderate (21 out of 40 questions or 52.5%), and difficult (9 out of 40 questions or 22.5%). Discriminating power: high (14 questions or 35%), moderate (19 questions or 47.5%), low (6 questions or 15%), and very low (1 question or 2.5%). The effectiveness of functioning distractors is 115 out of 160 options (71.9%), while non-functioning distractors amount to 45 options (28.1%). Overall, the questions are of good quality, with a moderate difficulty level, good discriminating power, and effective distractors. These results indicate that the researcher's hypothesis, which stated that the questions have poor characteristics, must be rejected because the questions are of good quality.

Abstract

The era of digital disruption is fundamentally transforming the landscape of human life, introducing both innovations and complex challenges that test the relevance of a nation's noble values. This research presents a critical reflection on the relevance of Pancasila as the state foundation and ideology of Indonesia in navigating the dynamics of the digital era. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach through a literature review, it was found that despite facing crucial issues such as the spread of hoaxes, social polarization, and the potential erosion of digital ethics, Pancasila remains vital. A solid philosophical framework for building an ethical, inclusive, and just digital society. The five principles of Pancasila serve as the foundation for digital ethics, a driver of public literacy and critical thinking, and a unifying pillar in cyberspace. Integrating these values into education is also essential for shaping a digital generation with strong character. The conclusion indicates that Pancasila not only endures but becomes increasingly crucial in guiding the Indonesian nation to navigate digital complexities, offering proactive solutions and opening prospects for the future development of innovative models for implementing Pancasila values.

Abstract

Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) plays a strategic role in shaping the character, national insight, and democratic attitudes of students as the nation's future generation. Amidst technological advances and the challenges of the digital era, learning media are required to be more adaptive and innovative in order to bridge the delivery of PPKn values effectively and meaningfully. This study aims to examine various types of learning media used in PPKn learning, examine their effectiveness based on previous studies, and identify challenges faced in their implementation at various levels of education. This study uses a literature review approach by tracing references from scientific journals, academic books, and relevant documents published in the last ten years. The results of the study indicate that the use of learning media, both conventional and digital-based, has been proven to improve students' conceptual understanding, active participation, and reflective attitudes towards PPKn material. Interactive digital media such as quiz applications, learning videos, and web-based educational platforms are considered more effective in reaching the learning styles of the digital generation. However, its implementation still faces various obstacles, such as limited technological infrastructure, low teacher digital literacy, and a lack of media development that is contextually relevant to Civics (PPKn) material. In conclusion, this article recommends the need to develop learning media relevant to student needs and ongoing training for teachers to support improving the quality of Civics (PPKn) learning.

Abstract

Given the challenges of the working world and the demands of professionalism as prospective educators, students are required not only to master academic competencies, but also to possess logical thinking skills and moral and ethical integrity as citizens. This community service activity aims to improve basic mathematical skills and an understanding of civic ethics for prospective undergraduate students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Cokroaminoto University, Yogyakarta. This training method provides participants with intensive material in two main areas: strengthening basic mathematical concepts and applying them, and instilling civic ethics values in the context of national and state life. The training method is carried out in a participatory manner through an andragogical approach, group discussions, case studies, and contextual practice questions. Evaluation of the activity shows that this training has a positive impact on increasing student self-confidence, strengthening their numerical skills, and fostering ethical awareness in decision-making as prospective educators. The results of this training encourage students to be better prepared to face the world of work and have social sensitivity as part of their civic responsibilities. This program is expected to be sustainable and become a model for developing transdisciplinary skills in preparing FKIP graduates who excel academically, ethically, and professionally.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran yang penting dalam mengembangkan potensi kecerdasan yang dimiliki siswa. Dominasi kecerdasan siswa dapat diukur dengan diagnosis menggunakan metode permainan yang tepat sesuai dengan karakteristik jenis kecerdasannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiagnosis linguistic intelligence siswa sekolah dasar melalui metode permainan ‘Temukan Kata’ dalam pembelajaran IPA. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian diawali dengan memberikan pembelajaran melalui metode permainan ‘Temukan Kata’ dengan berbantuan media pembelajaran. Metode permainan ini dirancang agar dapat memberikan stimulasi bagi siswa dalam mengeksplorasi dan melatih linguistic intelligence yang dimilikinya dalam pembelajaran IPA. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa triangulasi data, yaitu lembar observasi linguistic intelligences, lembar wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas rendah (kelas II), dan siswa kelas tinggi (kelas IV) dengan jumlah sebanyak 47 siswa di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri kota Singkawang. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui eksplorasi data untuk menghasilkan grounded theory. Ditemukan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran IPA lebih tinggi dibandingkan percaya diri, dan lebih rendah dari komunikasi. Kemampuan komunikasi siswa lebih tinggi dibanding indikator lainnya melalui penerapan metode permainan ‘Temukan Kata’. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah potensi linguistic intelligence siswa sekolah dasar dapat didiagnosis melalui metode permainan ‘Temukan Kata’ dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dilakukan pada penelitian lanjutan.

Abstract

Research on absorbent core and elastic-modified coconut fibre is motivated by the use of coconut fibre in terms of water absorption and elasticity. This study aims to: (1) determine the percentage of the absorbent core and elastic-modified coconut coir; (2) compare the percentage of the absorbent core and elastic-modified coconut fibre to the diapers X. The design used was experimental. The tools and materials consisted of modified coconut fibre, a Pasteur pipette, a specimen clamp, and a software system. Modified coconut coir was made from a mixture of Cinnamomum verum and Mutingia calabura L., with a sample mass ratio to diapers X, which was 1:40, circular shape with a diameter of 3 cm. The treatments for modified coconut coir were sun drying (Sample A) and a hair dryer (Sample B), which resulted in differences in the Absorbent core (Ab) and Elastic (E). The sample was forwarded for the E-test through the Tracker software system, which can detect the centre of mass of the object through the experimental video recording, and the other sample was measured Ab through the difference in the volume of water absorption. The results showed that Sample B could be used as an engineering material for Ab and E diapers X. It was concluded that: (1) %Ab-Sample B = 38.36%, %Ab-Sample A = 25.57%, %E-Sample B = 1.2%, %E-Sample A = 0.5%; (2) comparison of %E-Sample B to %E-Diapers X was 67%, and %E-Sample A to %E-Diapers X was 27%.

Abstract

SMK memprioritaskan siswanya untuk dapat menciptakan tenaga kerja yang terampil, kompeten dan professional, tidak hanya bekerja sebagai profesional, tetapi juga menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki jiwa wirausaha. Selain pendidikan kewirausahaan, siswa juga harus mampu mengelola keuangan pribadinya agar bisa membuka usaha sendiri. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menguji bagaimana literasi keuangan siswa dipengaruhi oleh tingkat literasi digital, orientasi belajar, jiwa kewirausahaan, dan sikap berwirausaha. Populasi yang merupakan novelty pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta sebagai wakil generasi milenial. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMK Pusat Keunggulan yang menggunakan purposive sampling sebagai metode pengambilan sampelnya. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan e-views. Hasil penyaringan sampel diperoleh sampel 449 responden siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital, jiwa kewirausahaan dan sikap berwirausaha berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat literasi keuangan siswa SMK. Namun orientasi pembelajaran tidak berpengaruh terhadap literasi keuangan siswa SMK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah sekolah berperan penting dalam proses pembentukan literasi keuangan siswa, mengingat semakin meningkatnya risiko yang para siswa tanggung dengan semakin kompleksnya produk dan layanan keuangan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi menuntut guru sekolah dasar untuk dapat menguasai penggunaan aplikasi yang mendukungnya dalam pembelajaran. Aplikasi Canva dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah masih terdapat guru yang belum menguasai aplikasi Canva dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Canva Guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri 92 Singkawang Utara, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat melalui pembuatan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis STEAM. Metode yang digunakan berupa presentasi, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan praktik penggunaan aplikasi Canva dengan pendampingan. Presentasi berupa penyampaian materi tentang manfaat penggunaan aplikasi Canva dalam pembelajaran IPA yang dikaitkan dengan STEAM bagi guru sekolah dasar. Diskusi berupa tanya jawab. Demonstrasi dengan video tutorial, dan penjelasan langsung. Praktik dilakukan guru secara berkelompok didampingi instruktur. Guru diberikan tantangan menghasilkan media pembelajaran IPA yang dikaitkan dengan STEAM berbantuan aplikasi Canva. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat guru yang baru mengenal aplikasi Canva, guru yang baru memahami penggunaan aplikasi Canva, dan guru memiliki kreativitas yang sangat baik. Urutan indikator kinerja pelatihan ini sesuai hasil pengamatan dari persentase besar ke kecil, yaitu gagasan, partisipan, kedisiplinan, dan kerja sama. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang positif bagi peserta pelatihan. Diharapkan dapat diterapkan bagi guru di seluruh sekolah dasar Kota Singkawang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pembuatan media pembelajaran yang inovatif melalui penggunaan aplikasi Canva.
