Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in students' critical thinking skills between classes implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model based on Canva animated videos and classes without animated videos in geography learning. The study used a comparative quantitative approach and was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kubutambahan with a population of 166 grade X students from five classes. The sample was determined using a purposive random sampling technique. Data were collected through observations of the implementation of the learning model and essay tests, then analyzed using descriptive analysis and different tests (t-tests). The results showed a significant difference in students' critical thinking skills, where the use of Canva animated videos in the PBL model provided a greater increase compared to the class without animated videos, although an increase in critical thinking skills also occurred in the non-experimental class.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi berdampak negatif pada hasil belajar, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran inovatif yang mampu meningkatkan minat dan keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Canva dalam meningkatkan minat belajarsiswa. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol non-ekivalen yang melibatkan 29 siswa sebagai subjek uji coba. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket minat belajar dan tes pemahaman materi yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan minat belajar pada kelas eksperimen dengan kenaikan rata-rata 16 poin, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya naik 4,33 poin; nilai N-Gain 0,32 menunjukkan efektivitas sedang. Model PBL berbantuan media Canva efektif meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa. Simpulan menyatakan bahwa integrasi model PBL dengan media digital Canva efektif meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Implikasi penelitian menekankan pentingnya media digital interaktif dalam pembelajaran berbasis masalah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model Self Directed Learning (SDL) berbantuan Mind Mapping serta pengaruhnya terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa pada pembelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model SDL berbantuan Mind Mapping terlaksana dengan sangat baik, yang ditunjukkan oleh skor rata-rata observasi implementasi pembelajaran sebesar 91,74 dengan kategori sangat baik. Selain itu, kemandirian belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata kemandirian belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 53,10 menjadi 89,03 dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 68%, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol hanya meningkat dari 34,10 menjadi 55,60 atau sebesar 22%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model Self Directed Learning berbantuan Mind Mapping berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa pada pembelajaran geografi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Mendeskripsikan penerapan problem based learning berbantuan konten digital dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja (2) Menganalisis efektivitas penerapan problem based learning berbantuan konten digital dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja, dan (3) Menganalisis pengaruh penerapan problem based learning berbantuan konten digital dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. Hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil penerapan model PBL berbantuan Konten Digital yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen yang dinilai oleh dua pengamat mendapatkan nilai 94,17 tergolong sangat baik. (2) Data menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan terjadi lebih besar dikelas eksperimen (71,8%) dibandingkan kelas kontrol (18,7%) dan (3) Penerapan model PBL berbantuan Konten Digital terbukti memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Numeracy skills during elementary school are an important foundation for cognitive development and academic success at later levels. This study aims to analyze the role of parenting styles and parental involvement in children's numeracy development through the perspective of the socio-anthropological paradigm. The method used is a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review. The results of the study indicate that the home numeracy environment plays a significant role in children's numeracy development. Supportive parental support and the provision of autonomy increase children's numerical self-confidence and mathematics achievement, while a controlling parenting style has a negative impact. Parents' knowledge of the stages of numeracy development and their ability to manage mathematics anxiety have been shown to influence the quality of support provided. Furthermore, informal numeracy practices within family routines, such as counting while shopping or cooking, are more effective than formal, mechanistic approaches. This study confirms that children's numeracy development is not only a pedagogical domain of school but also a socio-cultural construct that develops through family interactions, values, and daily habits. The implication is that numeracy strengthening needs to be designed in a family-based, collaborative, and contextual manner with local culture in mind.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah rumah tangga menjadi isu lingkungan yang semakin penting sehingga diperlukan pengelolaan sampah berbasis sumber yang didukung partisipasi aktif masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dan hubungannya dengan pendidikan, pendapatan dan persepsi rumah tangga rumah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel rumah tangga ditetapkan sebanyak 56 kepala keluarga dari 1.135 KK populasi dengan formula Slovin. Selanjutnya 56 sampel tersebut dipilih dengan teknik acak proporsional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi masyarakat masih tergolong rendah, terutama pada indikator partisipasi pemikiran, pelaksanaan, serta pengawasan dan pemeliharaan. Faktor pendidikan menunjukkan hubungan paling tinggi dibandingkan faktor persepsi dan pendapatan terhadap tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah berbasis sumber. Masyarakat dengan tingkat pendidikan yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki tingkat partisipasi yang lebih baik dalam pengelolaan sampah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya edukasi lingkungan, penguatan persepsi/kesadaran dan ekonomi masyarakat, penyediaan sarana dan prasarana pengelolaan sampah, serta dukungan pemerintah desa agar partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah berbasis sumber dapat berjalan lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of multicultural education in the tradition of the Topat War in Lombok, which involved Sasak Muslim and Balinese Hindu communities. The purpose of this study is to explore how the Topat War ritual functions as a means of teaching tolerance and interfaith solidarity in a multicultural society. The method used is a qualitative approach with interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The research findings show that the Topat Waris is not only a cultural ritual, but also a forum for multicultural education that strengthens interfaith relations through practices of cooperation and mutual respect. However, the application of these values to informal education is still limited. This article contributes by proposing a model of multicultural education based on local wisdom that can be applied in the formal education curriculum, connecting local traditions with social value-based education. The results of this study emphasize the importance of integrating multicultural education into the formal education system to create a more inclusive and harmonious society.

Abstract

This study was aimed at mapping the rice field land conver­sion spatial pattern in the metropolitan region of Badung Regency, Bali Province, and analyzes the effectiveness of local government policy in controlling rice field land conversion. The mapping was done using the overlay technique aided Geographical Information System (GIS) in which the 2002 land use map and the 2009 land use map. The analysis of the effectiveness of the local government policy was done using regulating documents, observation of in the field, and analysing community evaluation (involving subak leader/pekaseh, farmer/subak member, and chairman traditional village/klian). The study shows that the spatial distribution of the rice field land conversion form cluster pattern. This pattern emerged because of the contagious nature of the rice field land conversion that influenced by development in the sorrounding environment. The implementation of the local government policy is not effective. This is supported by some weakness in the regulation system, an increase in rice field conversion facts and negative respon from the community of the local government policy implementation. In order to make the control of the rice field land conversion run effectively, the local government should reorient the development priorities to the agricultural sector by engaging the partisipant of the local community such as subak.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe and analyze the implementation of the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in geography education; (2) test the effectiveness of implementing the Wordwall-assisted PBL model in enhancing students' Learning Interest; and (3) test the effectiveness of the Wordwall-assisted PBL model in improving students' Critical Thinking Skills. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja using a Quasi-Experimental design, specifically the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The selection of experimental and control groups was carried out in classes with equivalent cognitive levels. Data were collected through observation and testing methods, which were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis (N-Gain Score). The results of the study indicate that: (1) the implementation of the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning model in geography learning was carried out in the ‘Very Good’ category with an average score of 81.91; (2) the N-Gain analysis showed that the Wordwall-assisted PBL model was ‘Moderately Effective’ (69.05%) in increasing students’ Learning Interest; and (3) the N-Gain analysis revealed that the model was ‘Moderately Effective’ (61.01%) In improving students’ Critical Thinking Skills. Based on these findings, the integration of the Problem-Based Learning model with Wordwall media can serve as an innovative alternative strategy to optimize students’ learning interest and critical thinking abilities in geography education.
