Abstract

This study aimed to describe the ability of problem solving in terms of the students’ learning independence with module-assisted independent learning. This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 1 Kudus 2019/2020 school year. The type of research used mix methods with concurrent embedded. The research data was taken by using questionnaire, observation, and test then processed by completeness test, comparative test, influence test, and improvement test. The results showed that the problem-solving ability was influenced by the students' learning independence. So independent learning by assisting students was able to make them to be more mature in science.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of independent learning without face-to-face activities assisted by contextual module and mentoring toward the creative thinking skills. This research is a combined research with sequential explanatory design. The population of this research consisted of seventh graders of Public JHS 31 Semarang in academic year 2018/2019. The sample consisted of the VII H class learners. They were taken based on three self-confidence categories: high, moderate, and low. Techniques of collecting data were test, interview, and documentation. The findings showed that the autonomous learning assisted by the contextual module and the mentoring was effective. From the six learners with high learning autonomy, they showed a moderate creative thinking skill. From 21 learners with moderate learning autonomy, 11 learners were found to have a moderate creative thinking skill while 10 learners had a low creative thinking skill. From 5 learners with low learning autonomy, 4 learners had a low creative thinking skill while one learner had a moderate creative thinking skill.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ mathematical problem solving ability from students’ self-regulated learning in self-directed learning with module. The method used in this research is mixed methods research with a sequential explanatory design. The population in this research are all 11th grade students at SMA N 1 Mayong. The sampling technique from self-regulated learning has taken 7 subjects used purposive sampling. The result showed that students with high self-regulated learning categories are able to achieve three indicators of problem solving abilities namely understanding problems, making problem solving strategy plans and implementing problem solving strategy plans correctly. Students with moderate self-regulated learning categories are able to achieve two indicators of problem solving abilities namely understanding problems and making problem solving strategy plans correctly. While students’ low self-regulated learning categories have not been able to achieve all four indicators of problem solving abilities namely understanding problems, making problem solving strategy plans, implementing problem solving strategy plans and looking back.

Abstract

The differences in individual’s personality create diversity in communication. This study is aimed to describe the students’ written mathematical communication patterns based on personality types. It is a qualitative descriptive study in X grade vocational high school students of SMK N Tengaran, Semarang Regency in 2019/2020. The data were obtained by documenting the results of students’ mathematical communication tests and interviews. The research findings show that there is no unique pattern for each personality type in the mathematical communication patterns associated with sequence of working on questions. However, in mathematical communication patterns that are related to the type of error performed, the Introvert - Neurotic personality type makes the most types of errors in using incorrect variables and calculation errors.

Abstract

The underlying background of this research was the importance of teaching problem solving skill as 21st-century skills. Providing a qualified learning facility to train learners solving problems is a challenge for teachers. This research applied the Problem Based Learning model as innovative learning in the form of independent learning. The learners did this independent learning with the given geometric problem solving module. The teachers guided the learning process via online. It was also monitored by the learners' parents as well as the peer tutors. After the lesson, an evaluation and a work discussion were promoted together with the school teachers. This research examined the learning quality taught by module-assisted independent PBL model. It consisted of analyzing the learning instrument validity level, the learning implementation, and the model effectiveness as indicated by the completeness and the correlation tests. This research applied a mixed method with sequential exploratory design. The finding showed the learning instrument was valid. Thus, it could be applied practically at school. The effectiveness level showed that PBL model based on independent learning and assisted by module was effective. The completeness test results, assisted by SPSS, showed Sig score higher than 5%, 0.731. Thus, it had reached the completeness. The correlation test assisted by SPSS obtained a sig score of 0.3%. It was lesser than 5%. Thus, there was a correlation between learning autonomy toward problem solving skills. Therefore, this module-assisted independent PBL model was qualified based on the plan, the implementation, and the evaluation. Thus, it could be a qualified learning alternative at primary school.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan sistem informasi sebagai penopang organisasi tidak dapat dipungkiri lagi, dimana setiap bagian dari organisasi diharapkan mampu memberikan pelayanan yang cepat dan akurat kepada setiap end user. Salah satu bentuk layanan sistem informasi tersebut adalah Expertise Management System (EMS). EMS dikembangkan di Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) memiliki kemampuan untuk menyajikan data tentang pakar-pakar yang telah dimiliki UNNES kepada end user. Desain EMS melalui tahap prototype (analisis, perancangan, desain sistem, DFD, ERD, dan desain skema database), pemrograman, pengujian dan pemeliharaan. Melalui EMS ini pula, UNNES dapat menawarkan pakar-pakarnya untuk berkolaborasi dalam penelitian maupun kegiatan lainnya, sehingga dengan sendirinya akan memperkuat posisi UNNES di dalam persaingan tingkat regional maupun global.

Abstract

AbstractTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran matematika dengan metode Problem Posing berbasis pendidikan karakter di laboratorium TeenZania pada materi garis singgung lingkaran efektif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik di SMP N 2 Pati. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu keaktifan sebagai variabel independen dan prestasi belajar sebagai variabel dependen. Cara pengambilan data dengan lembar pengamatan dan tes. Data diolah dengan uji banding t dan uji pengaruh regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen (82,74) secara statistik melebihi KKM (75). Dengan uji regresi linear sederhana diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ=-15,847 + 1,194X dan R^2=0,829. Koefisien X merupakan bilangan positif sehingga keaktifan berpengaruh positif pada prestasi belajar sebesar 82,9%. Rata-rata prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen (82,74) dan rata-rata prestasi belajar kelas kontrol (72,91). Secara uji stastistik prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada prestasi belajar kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan (1) pembelajaran mencapai tuntas belajar; (2) adanya pengaruh positif pada keaktifan terhadap prestasi belajar; dan (3) prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada prestasi belajar kelas kontrol; sehingga pembelajaran matematika dengan metode problem posing berbasis pendidikan karakter di laboratorium TeenZania merupakan pembelajaran yang efektif.The purpose of this study was to determine whether the learning of mathematics by Problem Posing method in a TeenZania laboratory based character education in circle tangent material effectively. The population in this study were students in SMP N 2 Pati. The sample in this study were drawn by cluster random sampling technique. The variables in this study is the activity as an independent variable and learning achievement as the dependent variable. Method of data collection with observation sheets and tests. Data processed by the t test and the comparative effect of regression testing. The results showed that the experimental class learning achievement (82.74) was statistically exceed KKM (75). With simple linear regression test obtained regression equation Y = -15.847 + 1.194 X and R2 = 0.829. The coefficient of X is a positive number so that the activity has a positive effect on learning achievement of 82.9%. Average learning achievement experimental class (82.74) and the average learning achievement control class (72.91). In statistical learning achievement test experimental class is better than the control class learning achievement. Based on the results of the analysis is concluded (1) learning to achieve complete learning, (2) a positive influence on the activity of learning achievement, and (3) experimental class learning achievement is better than the control class learning achievement; that learning mathematics with problem posing method based on character education in the TeenZania laboratory is an effective learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui model Problem Posing, Creative Problem Solving (CPS), dan ekspositori. Populasi dalam penelitian ini peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N I Tengaran tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Melalui teknik cluster random sampling terpilih tiga kelas sampel, yaitu VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen I (Problem Posing), VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen II (CPS), serta VIII E (ekspositori). Diperoleh hasil: eksperimen I efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditunjukkan oleh (1) rataan kemampuan pemecahan masalah 76,47 secara statistik memenuhi ketuntasan; (2) ada pengaruh positif aktivitas terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan  dan ; (3) rataan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen I 76,47 secara statistik lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol 70,12. Pada eksperimen II efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang ditunjukkan oleh (1) rataan kemampuan pemecahan masalah 80,21 secara statistik memenuhi ketuntasan; (2) ada pengaruh positif aktivitas terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan  dan ; (3) rataan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen II 80,21 secara statistik lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol 70,12. Eksperimen II secara statistik lebih baik daripada eksperimen I atas dasar rataan kemampuan pemecahan masalah masing-masing. Saran dari peneliti diperlukan pembiasaan secara terus menerus agar peserta didik terbiasa dengan masalah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana dan apakah pembelajaran matematika dengan model TAPPS dapat mengembangkan karakter kerja keras peserta didik, meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik, serta apakah dapat mengantarkan peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan dalam hal kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan tes, dengan situasi sosial dipilih dari satu kelas yaitu kelas VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Subjek penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive, sehingga diperoleh lima subjek berdasarkan hasil tes pendahuluan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing subjek penelitian menunjukkan variasi pada perkembangan karakter kerja keras dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, serta dapat mencapai ketuntasan baik secara individual maupun klasikal pada tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TAPPS dapat mengembangkan karakter peserta didik melalui tahap pengetahuan, pelaksanaan, dan pembiasaan, serta dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah melalui pembelajaran pemecahan masalah, scaffolding, dan diskusi berpasangan. Pembelajaran ini terbukti dapat mengembangkan karakter kerja keras peserta didik, meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik, dan dapat mengantarkan peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan pembelajaran pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan karakter mandiri dan keterampilan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui penerapan model TTW berbantuan scaffolding pada materi geometri kelas VIII serta untuk mengetahui perolehan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada siswa pilihan dengan capaian KKM yang ditentukan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif kolaboratif. Penentuan subjek penelitian secara purposive. Peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci dilengkapi lembar pengamatan, soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pedoman wawancara, dan alat perekam. Analisis data menggunakan deskripsi kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelima subjek penelitian (S1, S2, S3, S4, dan S5) terjadi peningkatan karakter mandiri dan keterampilan komunikasi matematisnya, ditunjukkan dengan perolehan indeks gain. Untuk kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya, kelima subjek penelitian mencapai KKM yang ditentukan bahkan meningkat dari kelas tingkatan kognitif mereka berasal. Secara berturut-turut, subjek penelitian mendapat nilai 100, 100, 90, 82, dan 80. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TTW berbantuan scaffolding dapat membentuk karakter mandiri dan keterampilan komunikasi matematis siswa serta kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dapat mencapai KKM yang ditentukan. Diharapkan dengan hasil penelitian ini, bisa  menjadi masukan bagi guru maupun sekolah agar dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi siswa sehingga karakter mandiri dan komunikasi matematis siswa dapat terbentuk. Salah satunya dengan penerapan model TTW berbantuan scaffolding.
