Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is driven by the need of the madrasah to improve the quality of learning, student services, and institutional governance through strengthening collaboration-based management. MTs Negeri 3 Karanganyar, as a large madrasah with a high number of students, faces challenges related to coordination across units, consistency in instructional supervision, and the effectiveness of quality monitoring systems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Cluster-Based Management (CBM) as a management model that emphasizes structured teamwork through the establishment of academic, student affairs, and governance clusters. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document reviews. The analysis focused on the CBM structure, planning processes, implementation, evaluation, as well as the identification of impacts and implementation barriers. The findings show that CBM enhances teacher coordination, strengthens academic supervision, improves quality documentation, and accelerates student services. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as limited training, varied competencies among cluster members, and suboptimal digital-based monitoring. The study concludes that CBM contributes significantly to improving madrasah quality when supported by strengthened human resource capacity and continuous evaluation. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan madrasah untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran, layanan peserta didik, dan tata kelola kelembagaan melalui penguatan manajemen berbasis kolaborasi. MTs Negeri 3 Karanganyar sebagai madrasah dengan jumlah peserta didik besar menghadapi tantangan koordinasi antarunit, konsistensi supervisi pembelajaran, serta efektivitas pemantauan mutu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Gugus (MBG) sebagai model manajemen yang tekanan kerja tim terstruktur melalui pembentukan gugus akademik, gugus kesiswaan, dan gugus tata kelola. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, dengan data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumen. Analisis difokuskan pada struktur MBG, proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, serta identifikasi dampak dan hambatan implementasinya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa MBG mampu meningkatkan koordinasi guru, memperkuat supervisi akademik, memperbaiki dokumentasi mutu, dan mempercepat layanan peserta didik. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan pelatihan, variasi kompetensi anggota gugus, serta kurang optimalnya digitalisasi monitoring. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa MBG memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu madrasah disertai penguatan kapasitas SDM dan evaluasi berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the practice of leader's mindfulness, which affects leadership ability. This research was conducted at Higher Education School in France. The study used the qualitative research method of a single case study. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The procedures in the study had six steps: plan, design, prepare, collection of the data, data analysis, and share. Analysis of the study was done with data validity testing using a data source, method, technique triangulations by pattern matching and used Nvivo 12 Plus. The result of the research shows that the leader develops mindfulness practice in his daily routine through mindfulness values and leadership actions. The training increases leadership's ability to develop concentration and decision-making by practising the formal and informal practice of mindfulness. The Practice brings the leadership ability to create relationships with the community and develop compassion and nonjudgmental attention in leadership activities. The research can benefit the practice of educational leadership to develop their leader's abilities to challenge the status quo in their workplace-based mindfulness. It is how the leader sets mindfulness practice on their leadership practice.

Abstract

The low level of students' numeracy literacy and the limited variety of media in mathematics learning are the background for this research. The purpose of this research is to describe the development process and determine the level of feasibility and practicality of the developed media. The main focus is to develop e-comic learning media that facilitates the understanding of the concept of congruence while supporting numeracy literacy skills through an ethnomathematics approach. The research procedure applies the Research and Development development method with a 4D model limited to the Define, Design, and Development stages. This media development was carried out by identifying congruent shapes in the shadow puppet characters Wijanarka, Werkudara, Baladewa, and Semar, then arranged using the Canva application in flipbook format. The validation results showed a feasibility level of 88.93% from material experts and 90% from media experts, both of which are included in the "Very Feasible" category. A limited trial of 10 students resulted in a practicality percentage of 90.6% with the "Very Practical" criteria. This e-comic media based on shadow puppet ethnomathematics is declared very suitable and practical to be used as an innovative learning media to facilitate contextual understanding of concepts and support students' numeracy literacy skills through the preservation of local culture. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan mengetahui tingkat kelayakan serta kepraktisan media yang dikembangkan. Fokus utamanya yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran e-comic yang memudahkan pemahaman konsep kekongruenan sekaligus menunjang kemampuan literasi numerasi melalui pendekatan etnomatematika. Prosedur penelitian menerapkan metode pengembangan Research and Development dengan model 4D yang dibatasi pada tahap Define, Design, dan Development. Pengembangan media ini dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi bangun-bangun kongruen pada tokoh wayang kulit Wijanarka, Werkudara, Baladewa, dan Semar, kemudian disusun menggunakan aplikasi Canva dalam format flipbook. Hasil validasi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 88,93% dari ahli materi dan 90% dari ahli media, yang mana keduanya masuk dalam kategori "Sangat Layak". Uji coba terbatas kepada 10 siswa menghasilkan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 90,6% dengan kriteria "Sangat Praktis". Media e-comic berbasis etnomatematika wayang kulit ini dinyatakan sangat layak dan praktis digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif untuk memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep secara kontekstual dan menunjang kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa melalui pelestarian budaya lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of madrasah principal leadership on teacher OCB at Muhammadiyah Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Kartasura District. This study uses a quantitative approach utilizing a survey method. The study population consisted of 111 teachers, with a sample of 87 permanent teachers, selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were then analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings revealed that the leadership of the madrasah principal had a positive and significant effect on teachers' OCB, with a significance value of 0.011 (less than 0.05). However, the R² value of 0.073 indicates that leadership can only explain 7.3% of the variation in OCB, while the remaining 92.7% is influenced by external variables such as self-efficacy, perceptions of organizational justice, work culture, and religious values. The findings of this study reinforce the view that OCB among teachers in religious-based madrasahs is predominantly shaped by intrinsic motivation and organizational climate, rather than by formal leadership instructions. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala madrasah terhadap OCB guru di MI Muhammadiyah se-Kecamatan Kartasura. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan metode survei. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 111 guru, dengan sampel 87 guru tetap, yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket tertutup yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB guru, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.011 (kurang dari 0.05). Meskipun demikian, nilai R² yang mencapai 0.073 menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan hanya mampu menjelaskan 7,3% variasi dalam OCB, sedangkan 92,7% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel eksternal seperti efikasi diri, persepsi keadilan organisasi, budaya kerja, dan nilai keagamaan. Temuan penelitian ini memperkuat pandangan bahwa OCB guru di madrasah yang berbasis nilai religius lebih dominan terbentuk oleh motivasi intrinsik dan iklim organisasi, bukan oleh instruksi kepemimpinan formal. Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking skills play a crucial role in meeting the demands of 21st-century learning, although these skills remain low among some students. This study aims to analyze the influence of mathematical self-confidence and resilience on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. The study employed a quantitative approach with an associative-causal design. The population consisted of all 127 eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Manshur Popongan Klaten, with a sample of 101 students selected using cluster random sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires on mathematical self-confidence and resilience, as well as an essay test of mathematical critical thinking skills. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 21 software, after meeting prerequisite tests such as normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. The results indicate that mathematical self-confidence and mathematical resilience simultaneously have a significant effect on mathematical critical thinking skills. Partially, self-confidence did not have a significant effect, whereas mathematical resilience had a significant positive effect. These findings underscore the importance of mathematical resilience in enhancing mathematical critical thinking skills, thus necessitating its development through challenging and meaningful learning. ABSTRAK Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis memiliki peran yang penting dalam memenuhi tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21, meskipun kemampuan tersebut masih rendah pada sebagian siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan diri dan resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif kausalitas. Populasi mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Al-Manshur Popongan Klaten yaitu 127 siswa, dengan sampel 101 siswa yang dtentukan melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari angket kepercayaan diri dan resiliensi matematis, serta tes uraian kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan software IBM SPSS Statistics 21, setelah memenuhi uji prasyarat seperti normalitas, linearitas, multikolinearitas, dan heteroskedastisitas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri dan resiliensi matematis secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Secara parsial, kepercayaan diri tidak berpengaruh signifikan, sedangkan resiliensi matematis memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan pentingnya resiliensi matematis dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, sehingga perlu dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran yang menantang dan bermakna.

Abstract

A notable lacuna in the literature exists regarding research on Islamic theological education in Southeast Asian pesantren. This current state underscores the imperative for comprehensive investigation, particularly through the application of comparative analyses of pedagogical approaches. The present study comparatively analyzes how pedagogical approaches, institutional factors, and theological orientations shape Islamic theology instruction in Indonesian and Malaysian pesantren. A comparative case study was conducted in one pesantren from each country, utilizing semi-structured interviews with eight participants (heads, teachers, senior students) and document analysis, with data analyzed thematically. Findings indicate Indonesian pesantren prioritize traditional, memorization-based methods and theological conservatism due to institutional autonomy. At the same time, Malaysian counterparts adopt structured, curriculum-based approaches influenced by state involvement and national standards. The study highlights how both contexts negotiate orthodoxy and modernity differently, offering implications for developing culturally grounded and pedagogically responsive Islamic theological curricula and teacher training.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies is transforming educational paradigms worldwide. This article explores the relationship between digital learning and religious moderation from an educational management perspective, focusing on how these technologies can promote inclusivity, mitigate extremist ideologies, and enhance learning experiences. The literature review covered key concepts such as digital learning, educational management, and religious moderation, highlighting the dual-edged nature of digital technology in education. The research adopted a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. The study also found that digital learning has improved educational outcomes and personalised learning experiences, indicating high agreement between students and educators that digital learning has improved educational outcomes and personalised learning experiences. The qualitative analysis explores the themes of digital learning in religious education, focusing on access to diverse perspectives and interfaith understanding. The content analysis of digital religious education materials varies significantly, from promoting tolerance and understanding to emphasising religious distinctiveness. In conclusion, the themes revealed a dynamic yet challenging landscape for digital learning in religious education. The research suggests several recommendations, which include developing inclusive digital learning policies, promoting digital literacy skills, prioritising teacher training, and investing in high-quality digital learning materials that promote religious understanding, tolerance, and respect for diverse perspectives
