Abstract

This qualitative inquiry delves into the intricate landscape of financial decision-making within corporations, aiming to shed light on leverage decisions, market efficiency dynamics, and financial policy implications. Employing thematic analysis, this study systematically reviews existing literature from academic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. The research synthesizes insights from peer-reviewed articles, books, and reports published within the past decade, employing rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure relevance and credibility. The findings underscore the multifaceted nature of leverage decisions, revealing a complex interplay of factors such as tax policies, industry norms, and growth opportunities. Moreover, the significance of market efficiency in financial decision-making is confirmed, despite challenges to the assumptions of the efficient market hypothesis posed by anomalies in stock returns and behavioral biases among investors. Additionally, financial policy implications emerge as pivotal in guiding corporate operations, encompassing dividend policy, capital structure decisions, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. The study advocates for a holistic understanding of financial decision-making processes, integrating insights from finance, economics, and sustainability. From a managerial perspective, the findings offer actionable insights for practitioners, emphasizing the importance of contextual factors, behavioral insights, and effective governance mechanisms in navigating the complexities of corporate finance. This research contributes to advancing knowledge in the field of corporate finance and provides guidance for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers in enhancing financial decision-making practices.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the lived experiences of alumni from SMK Mambaul Ulum Sukowono in navigating the dynamics of the digital economy through their engagement in the gig economy. The central research problem lies in how their participation is shaped by digital skill gaps, limited institutional support, and the absence of legal protection within platform-based work environments. Using a qualitative case study approach under the interpretivist paradigm, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving 25 alumni engaged in various forms of gig work, such as ride-hailing, graphic design, and online selling. Findings reveal that while alumni are primarily motivated by time flexibility and immediate income, they also face significant challenges including income instability, algorithmic dependency, and emotional strain. The study concludes that vocational curriculum reform and targeted policy interventions are crucial to support economic resilience and youth labor welfare in the digital era.

The statistical methods used were descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality, the Spearman test for correlation analysis, the Wilcoxon one-sample test for data distribution, and the Kruskal-Wallis test to compare distributions. Based on the correlation analysis, the study revealed that the five socioeconomic variables tested showed a significant positive correlation with changes in the HDI in Aceh Province (p-value < 0.05). In addition, the difference analysis showed a significantly different distribution of HDI across the years studied (p-value < 0.05), with a pattern of increasing HDI observed from the beginning to the end of the study period. The recommended based on finding of the study is policymakers and stakeholders focus on strategies that enhance the positive correlates identified Finally, these results provide important and structured insights into the role of factors in HDI change.

Abstract

Abstract

Calculating a reasonable Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) is very important for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) because it has a direct effect on the profitability and sustainability of the business. However, in practice there are still many MSME entities that have not calculated their COGS in accordance with accounting methods in accordance with the correct EMKM Financial Accounting Standards (SAK), this is partly due to limited MSME resources so that COGS calculations are inaccurate. Based on this background, service lecturers from various universities and affiliated with the professional organization, namely ICMA, collaborated to provide Community Service in the form of introducing business sustainability with reasonable COGS calculations targeting MSMEs in Pagedangan Village. Armed with basic accounting knowledge, especially reasonable COGS calculations, it is hoped that Pagedangan Village MSMEs can develop their businesses and open up opportunities to progress in the future.

Abstract

The 2010 Riskesdas results show that 24.7% of the population defecates in open areas and 11.7% defecates in holes in the ground. Meanwhile, access to sanitation includes ownership/use of toilets, type of toilet and final disposal of feces at 55.5%. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between Perceived Severity and defecation behavior. The research method used was quantitative, cross sectional study design, the sampling technique used probability sampling with a simple random sampling approach, the number of research respondents was 161 respondents.  Data collection was carried out by interviews and observations. The data analysis method was carried out using bivariate tests and Chi-Square correlation tests. The research results show that the perceived severity variable is related to defecation behavior, this is indicated by a maximum of 72.7% positive statements, this is because people realize that defecating in the river is wrong behavior, defecating in the river will also make the surrounding environment polluted and mixed with feces. Humans contain many disease-causing germs. The results of the chi-square test analysis show P Value = 0.000, which means there is a relationship. The conclusion in the research is that there is a relationship between Perceived Severity and Open Defecation behavior in the Coastal Community of Takalar Regency where all respondents based on perceived severity (vulnerability) show that they have sufficient perception. Abstract

Stunting remains a chronic nutritional problem that impacts child growth and development, particularly in coastal areas. Tamangapa Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency, is one of the areas with a relatively high stunting rate. Community service activities were conducted with the aim of improving family nutrition knowledge, encouraging fish consumption as a source of animal protein, and strengthening public awareness of the importance of balanced nutritional parenting. Methods used included nutrition education, training in innovative fish meatball processing, training in using measuring tools, and community mentoring in utilizing local resources. The results of the activities showed an increase in fish consumption in the community and a decrease in stunting cases from 59 to 35. These findings indicate that locally-based interventions can be an effective strategy for preventing and reducing stunting in coastal areas.
