It is so that parenting is created oriented towards the Qur'an and does not deviate from the "standard rules" of parenting based on the Qur'an. Hence, it is expected that there will be products for raising children who are illahiyah pious and socially pious. Design/methods/approach–This qualitative research with a content analysis approach explored and discussed the contents of written or printed information in the mass media more deeply. In this case, the researcher searched for articles closely related to parenting issues and about Luqman al-Hakim through Google Scholar. Findings– This study highlights several of Luqman's parenting characteristics that made him intelligent in raising children, i.e., being firm in matters of faith in QS Luqman verses 13 and 17, gentle in speaking in QS Luqman verses 13, 16, and 17, attached to the child (intimacy) in QS Luqman verses 13, 16, 17, 18, and 19, and constantly reminding children to do good in QS Luqman verses 13, 16, 17, 18, and 19. Research implications/limitations–Some of Luqman's parenting styles successfully explored based on QS Luqman, including parenting based on being valued, parenting based on understanding and enlightening, and parenting based on self-control. Originality/value–Research with the theme of positive parenting originated from the verses of the Qur'an about Luqman al-Hakim has not been studied much. Generally, studies only revolve around parenting, ways of educating, and Luqman Hakim's parenting concept. Nevertheless, studies related to positive parenting have not been found. Therefore, research is pure, rich in novelty, and has a positive scientific contribution.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the application of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in the teaching of Islamic theology (Aqidah) within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SDN 021/1 Maro Sebo Ulu. This research was conducted over three months, from September to November 2024, involving 68 teachers and all students at the elementary school. The study utilized observation, interviews, and questionnaires to collect data. PjBL was integrated directly into the Aqidah learning process, where students worked on projects designed to instill moral values. Teachers acted as facilitators, guiding students through activities that promote religious character building. Observations and interviews revealed that teachers found PjBL helpful in engaging students more actively, improving their understanding of Aqidah, and fostering positive behavioral changes. The study also conducted a classic assumption test, including normality and multicollinearity tests, to validate the regression model used. The results showed no significant multicollinearity, and the regression analysis indicated a positive and significant effect of both the PjBL strategy (X1) and teacher involvement (X2) on students' Aqidah understanding (Y). The model demonstrated a moderate correlation (R=0.540) with 29.2% of the variance in students' Aqidah scores explained by the independent variables. Additionally, the F-test confirmed the overall significance of the model. This study concludes that PjBL effectively enhances students' theoretical understanding of Aqidah and contributes to the development of good moral character in their daily lives.

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of Dutch colonial policies on Islamic education in Palembang during the colonial period. Under Dutch rule, strict regulations were enforced on Islamic education, primarily aimed at controlling religious teachers and preventing them from using educational institutions to foster anti-colonial sentiment. The colonial government sought to weaken local resistance, often targeting influential ulama who played a key role in the dissemination of Islamic knowledge. In Palembang, traditional Islamic education was the dominant system during the Sultanate period, but with the rise of Dutch colonial power, Islamic education became marginalized, with a particular emphasis on the role of ulama and traditional Islamic teaching. Over time, the local society began to recognize the need for Dutch-style education, driven by the promise of better job opportunities for those holding Dutch school diplomas. Despite the establishment of Dutch-run schools, educational standards in Palembang remained low compared to other regions of Indonesia. This was due to both the limited public awareness of the importance of education and the inability of the colonial government to fulfill the educational aspirations of the local population. The paper highlights the complex interplay between colonial educational policies, local traditions, and the changing perceptions of education in Palembang during the colonial era.

This study adopts the descriptive research method to design an innovative SEO marketing plan aimed at promoting Indonesian tourism using AI-driven tools, specifically SEO.AI. The objective is to explore how artificial intelligence can be leveraged for enhancing keyword generation, content creation, and overall SEO optimization to boost the visibility of Indonesian destinations on global search engines. The research identifies high-volume tourism-related keywords like Bali, Komodo Island, and Raja Ampat and develops a step-by-step SEO strategy, including AI-powered content generation, website optimization, and link-building techniques. Through this process, the study demonstrates the effectiveness of AI-driven tools in streamlining SEO tasks and improving search engine rankings, providing practical implications for the tourism industry. The findings suggest that using AI for SEO can significantly enhance the digital presence of Indonesian tourism. However, the research also acknowledges certain limitations, such as dynamic search trends and external influences on tourism. Future studies are recommended to explore additional digital marketing strategies and assess the long-term impact of AI-driven SEO methods on tourism marketing.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to investigate elementary school students' attitudes toward online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the relationship between their attitudes and cognitive outcomes such as memory retention and comprehension. The goal is to enhance understanding of how psychological factors influence the effectiveness of online education and contribute to strategies for improving educational practices in remote environments. Methods/Design/Approach – An exploratory research design was employed, using a structured survey distributed to 906 students from eight elementary schools in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data were collected through online questionnaires assessing attitudes toward online learning, memory retention, and comprehension abilities. Descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data, identifying relationships between students' attitudes and cognitive outcomes. Findings – The study found that 52.65% of students had a negative attitude towards online learning. Students with positive attitudes exhibited better memory retention and comprehension, while those with negative attitudes showed significant challenges in these areas. The relationship between attitude and memory retention was statistically significant (χ² = 71.619, p < 0.001), as was the relationship between attitude and comprehension (χ² = 143.686, p < 0.001). Originality/Value – This research adds to the limited studies on the psychological impact of online learning on younger students, offering insights into how attitudes shape cognitive performance in remote education environments. It emphasizes the importance of fostering positive attitudes to improve educational outcomes in online settings. Practical Implications – The findings suggest that educational interventions should focus on improving students' attitudes towards online learning to enhance cognitive engagement and performance. Incorporating blended learning models and more interactive, engaging online experiences could better support young learners in remote education environments. Abstract

The physiological-biological experience of women from pregnancy to childbirth does not only involve carrying and giving birth to a child but also a spiritual journey, faith, and humanity. The essence of spirituality is actualized in the Javanese tradition known as tingkeban, which can potentially encourage social, emotional, and personal change. This analytical descriptive research aims to reveal the process of tingkeban tradition as a form of acculturation of Javanese Islam and social changes. This study used data collection methods from documentation, observation, and interviews using Karl Mannheim's sociological approach in the reception of objective, expressive, and documentary values to reveal the meaning in society. As a result, it is known that historically, the practice of tingkeban tradition in Pesantren Darussalam is a Javanese tradition passed down as a slametan for a sort of baby shower ceremony reformulated into Islamic values with recitation of some verses of eight selected surahs, namely Yusuf, Maryam, Al Kahfi, Yasin, Taha, Al Waqi'ah, and Ar Rahman. These selected surahs symbolize the hope of success for future children, joy and friendship, and smoothness in the baby delivery process. It is known that the tradition of tingkeban has created a psychological-spiritual impression on the fadhilah (advantage) of reading the surah to strengthen social and spiritual integration in the form of the Khotmil Qur'an tradition taking place twice a month between wage for fathers and legi for mothers.
