Abstract

This paper is about Imam Shaykhon (Bukhari and Muslim) leaving out a narration from Imam Shafi'i. A thing that is left out is certainly not free from causes and intentions. If a narration is left out of a hadith, there must be some shadz and illat in the hadith or the person who reported it. Then, is Imam Shafi'I unjust and has many shadz and illat. From the statements of the scholars about Imam Shafi'I, that he is a Hadith expert. Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal stated that if it were not for Shafi'I, I would not know hadith. This library research relies on library research materials, such as books, books, journals, encyclopedias, and magazines, as data sources to search and track these issues. From the findings of this research, that leaving the history of Imam Shafi'I has a purpose and a veil. Leaving his narration does not mean that there is an illat, but it shows praise and honor towards Imam Shafi'I.

Abstract

This study aims to compare consumption theories according to the perspectives of Monzer Kahf, Abdul Manan, and Yusuf Al-Qardhawi. It employs a formal literature review method to compare the consumption theories of these three figures, utilizing qualitative analysis of relevant literature and texts such as books, articles, and journals authored by the three thinkers. The research findings indicate that Monzer Kahf, Abdul Manan, and Yusuf al-Qardhawi have different approaches to understanding consumption in the context of Islamic economics. Monzer Kahf emphasizes the importance of consuming goods without extravagance or wastefulness and paying attention to the benefits of those goods. Abdul Manan underscores the significance of creating fair income and wealth distribution. Meanwhile, Yusuf al-Qardhawi emphasizes the importance of consuming by considering necessary needs, including spending wealth for goodness, avoiding miserliness, combating wasteful actions, and adopting a modest attitude in spending wealth. Thus, the three consumption theories according to the perspectives of Monzer Kahf, Abdul Manan, and Yusuf Al-Qardhawi share similarities in emphasizing the importance of moderate consumption, avoiding miserliness, and meeting the basic needs of individuals and society.

Abstract

Every work of interpretation will be inseparable from reality, certain tendencies, styles, characteristics and even different typologies. The background factor is the social-historical differences of each interpreter, including interpretive works in Egypt and Indonesia. The aim of this research is to understand the interpretive literature in Egypt and Indonesia using a crisis and comparative analysis approach. The research method used is that this research uses qualitative methods with a study focus on interpretive texts. A historical approach, especially the heuristic aspect, is used in order to trace historical traces, especially the connectivity of teaching the interpretation of the Koran between Egypt and Indonesia and the traces of influence of reform ideas. This research is library research. The results of research on the style and typology of interpretation in Indonesia are heavily colored by local Islam, both culture and conditions when the verses of the Quran are interpreted by the interpreter. Then, Indonesian interpretation also has a strong connection and attachment. with the Egyptian al-Azhar mindset which gave birth to many Indonesian scholars who indirectly contributed their thoughts in producing works of Indonesian interpretation.

Abstract

Krisis ekologis global menuntut pendekatan interdisipliner, termasuk dari perspektif keagamaan. Dalam Islam, Al-Qur’an diyakini memuat prinsip-prinsip dasar etika lingkungan.

Abstract

This study examines the extent to which the Provincial Minimum Wage embodies legally and philosophically grounded principles, including fair equality of opportunity, the difference principle, and the promotion of collective welfare. The study critically evaluates the 2025 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) policy in Banten, Indonesia, by examining its alignment with principles of normative justice, particularly Rawlsian distributive justice and utilitarian welfare maximization, alongside workers’ perceptions of wage adequacy and fairness. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines critical-philosophical analysis with descriptive quantitative techniques, the study integrates normative assessments of wage regulations, including Governor Decree Number 456/Kep.292-Huk/2024 and relevant labor laws, with survey data from 103 formal sector workers in Banten. The findings reveal a persistent gap between the policy’s objectives and worker’ lived experiences. From a Rawlsian perspective, the policy under-benefits the most economically vulnerable groups, while a utilitarian analysis suggests that the current system does not fully maximize collective welfare. Many respondents considered their wages insufficient for basic living expenses, with incentives and bonuses lacking transparency.

Abstract

Social inequality in Indonesia remains a persistent issue, rooted in structural problems within economic and political systems that fail to deliver justice for all citizens. This study aims to critically examine how state economic policies, unequal wealth distribution, and limited access to public services have deepened social disparity. Using a qualitative approach, it evaluates policy shortcomings and explores the consequences of asymmetrical socioeconomic structures on distributive justice. The findings reveal that policies often favoring elite groups exacerbate inequality and restrict equitable access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. In addition to policy analysis, this research employs a textual and contextual study of Qur’anic verses on justice (al-‘adl, al-qisṭ) to offer an Islamic ethical perspective on social justice. The study argues that Islamic teachings advocate for a just socio-economic order and that integrating such values into policymaking could address systemic injustice. This research contributes to a more holistic understanding of inequality by bridging critical policy analysis with Qur’anic moral frameworks.
