Abstract

The Abbasid Dynasty is regarded as one of the most prosperous dynasties in history due to significant advancements across various sectors. One of the most prominent was the rapid development of the economic sector, driven by the policies enacted by the reigning caliphs, which brought the Abbasid economy to its peak. Indonesia, which shares similarities in human resources and its vast territory, has the potential to improve its economy amidst the current challenges. This research aims to examine which economic policies from the Abbasid era could be adapted to the contemporary Indonesian economy. The results of this study suggest that the economic policies from the Abbasid period, particularly in agriculture, mining, trade, and taxation, could serve as a reference for addressing Indonesia's current economic challenges. Indonesia possesses similar potential to the Abbasid Dynasty, with both having vast territories and diverse natural resources, as well as relying on taxation as a primary source of state revenue. However, these policies must be adapted to the modern era, considering that Indonesia has a different constitutional foundation than the Abbasid Dynasty

Abstract

Fish farming is a type of work that involves daily work in watery and wet places. Generally, fish farmers work without wearing protective equipment, which can cause their feet to become damp and wet, thus becoming a supporting factor for fungal growth. The aim of the activity is to increase public health knowledge about fungal diseases of the skin, nails and hair and reduce the morbidity rate of fungal infections by administering anti-fungal infection drugs to fish farmers in Cindai Alus, Martapura District. The methods used in this activity are pretest, delivery of material, taking nail samples and posttest. The sampling technique was purposive where samples were taken on the toenails of participants/partners who were indicated to have a fungal infection with the criteria of nail color being black, brittle and uneven and smelling. The results of Community Service showed that there was an increase in partners' knowledge about fungal infections of the skin, nails and hair based on the results of the questionnaire. After monitoring and evaluating for 2 months, it was found that there was a decrease in fungal infections, especially on the toenails and hands, from 18 people (55%) who were infected, down to 15 people (36%) who were still infected.

Abstract

Total Plate Count (TPC) determines the number of microorganisms, both bacteria and fungi. Thawing is a step in thawing food that was previously stored frozen. This study aims to analyze the differences in the Total Plate Count of bacteria with variations in thawing methods in broiler chicken meat. Thawing methods commonly used include thawing at room temperature, soaking in water, and leaving it in the refrigerator (chiller). The type of research is experimental design with a posttest-only control design. Repetition was carried out five times for each control group KN (negative control) and test groups R0 (fresh chicken), R1 (frozen chicken), R2 (chicken thawed at room temperature), R3 (chicken soaked in water) and R4 (chicken thawed in the chiller) then the number of bacteria that grew was calculated. The average number of R0 colony results ranged from 4.1 x 103 CFU/g, R1 8.6 x 102 CFU/g, R2 1.6 x 104 CFU/g, R3 8.9 x 103 CFU/g and R4 1.2 x 103 CFU/g. The Kruskall-Wallis test results showed an Asymp sig value of 0.000 (<0.05); it can be concluded that there are differences in TPC in broiler chicken meat with variations in thawing methods that are thawed at room temperature, soaked in water and thawing in the chiller. It is recommended to thaw frozen chicken meat using the method of leaving it in the refrigerator because it has the lowest number of germs and can inhibit the growth of germs.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that is still a global health problem. TB treatment with anti-tuberculosis drugs can affect the hemostasis system, one of which is through changes in activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). However, the relationship between APTT values ??and the phase of TB therapy is still not fully understood. This study aims to analyze the relationship between APTT values ??and the phase of TB therapy and patient characteristics, including age and gender. This study used a cross-sectional design with an accidental sampling technique involving 30 pulmonary TB patients undergoing anti-tuberculosis drug therapy at the Cempaka Health Center. APTT examination was performed using an automatic method with a normal value of 25–43 seconds. Statistical analysis used the Pearson correlation test for normally distributed data and the Spearman test for non-normally distributed data. The results showed that 63% of patients had normal APTT values ??(26.0–41.2 seconds; average 32.7 seconds), while 37% of patients experienced prolonged APTT (44.8–49.7 seconds; average 47.6 seconds). There was no significant relationship between APTT values ??and the TB therapy phase (p=0.165), age (p=0.249), and gender (p=0.630). There was no significant relationship between APTT values ??and TB therapy phase, age, and gender. However, these results indicate that some patients experience changes in the hemostasis system during TB therapy. This study suggests that monitoring APTT in TB patients undergoing anti-tuberculosis drug therapy is still needed to anticipate potential coagulation disorders. Further research with a larger sample size and control of nutritional factors and patient inflammation status is recommended to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the effects of TB therapy on the hemostasis system.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an urgent need for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in facing increasingly competitive economic competition. In Sembung Village, the majority of MSMEs still market their products conventionally, without utilizing digital media and without adequate product legality. This community service activity aims to: (1) introduce the concept and practice of social media-based digital marketing; (2) assist in the process of creating attractive and informative product label designs; and (3) encourage the processing of food legality through PIRT permits for local MSMEs. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which actively involves MSMEs in all stages of the activity. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, with triangulation techniques to validate the findings. The results of the activity showed that digital marketing training was able to improve MSMEs' understanding of social media-based promotional strategies. As many as 75% of participants began to actively use platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp Business to reach a wider market. In addition, several MSMEs succeeded in having new product label designs and had completed the PIRT permit application process. These findings indicate that digital intervention and product legality contribute positively to strengthening the competitiveness of village MSMEs. This activity recommends further assistance to ensure the sustainability of optimal digital marketing implementation.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT Plant disease control using biological agents such as Trichoderma spp., and groups of bacteria that are members of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria or PGPR is an organic farming method, which only uses ingredients that come from the surrounding environment. The purpose of implementing this PKM is to introduce farmers to an alternative control method that is safer for the environment, cheaper because it comes from their own residential environment so that it does not cost more but is effective in controlling plant pests or OPT. Another goal is that farmers can reduce the frequency of using non-organic pesticides in their daily cultivation systems. The delivery method is carried out in the mentoring method through the presentation of recipes, procedures and manufacturing techniques carried out at the Kwau Village Hall; while the training is carried out in farmers' gardens with the presentation of the parts of the sprayer used, how to mix organic pesticides, the dosage size used and the best spraying time. This training and mentoring received a warm welcome from the farming community which was marked by not only being attended by the farming community in Kwau but also by farmers from other villages around Kwau village such as Maybrij and Soubrij. Another thing that shows high enthusiasm is the curiosity about the material during the discussion and training in the farmer's garden. We hope that the material presented can add insight into the agrotourism cultivation system.
