Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction: The incidence of tooth decay in Banjarmasin City is 37.62% and the rate of tooth extraction is 9.42%. Tooth extraction is removing the whole tooth or root from its socket which involves hard tissue and soft tissue in the oral cavity. One important factor that influences the wound healing process after tooth extraction is the patient's compliance with the instructions given by the dentist. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between dentist instructions, patient’s knowledge, and patient’s experience on the level of patient’s compliance after tooth extraction. Methods: The study used an analytical method with a cross sectional approach with a non-probability sampling technique, purposive sampling with a total sample of 33 people. The inclusion criteria were: post-tooth extraction patients at the Oral Surgery Dental Clinic of Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital, aged 18-60 years, maximum tooth extraction in the last 3 months, patients extracted with the intra alveolar method, and patients without systemic diseases. A questionnaire was used and the data results were analyzed using SPSS with correlative analytical methods. Results: The instructions given by the dentist were very clear by 32 patients (97%); the knowledge of the patients was very good, as many as 31 patients (93.9%); the patients had very good experience, as many as 26 patients (78.9%), and the level of patient compliance with post-extraction instructions was from 33 people (100%). There is a relationship between dentist instructions on the level of patient compliance with a correlation value of 0.053 (strong relationship level) and there is a relationship between patient knowledge and patient compliance with a correlation value of 0.514 (strong relationship level). Conclusion: Dentist instructions and patient’s knowledge are related to the level of patient compliance while experience has no correlation with the level of patient compliance. Complications and impaired wound healing can be minimized by increasing the effectiveness of instructions to patients.KEY WORDS: Dentist's instructions, knowledge, experience, level of compliance, complication.Korelasi instruksi dokter gigi, pengetahuan dan pengalaman pasien terhadap tingkat kepatuhan pasien pasca ekstraksi gigi: Studi cross-sectionalABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Kasus kerusakan gigi di Kota Banjarmasin sebesar 37,62% dan angka ekstraksi gigi yaitu 9,42%. Abstract

Indonesia shows a high stunting rate among middle-income countries, with the World Health Organization reporting in 2020 that 149.2 million children under five worldwide (22%) experienced stunting, and Southeast Asia contributing 30.01%. Indonesia ranks third in Southeast Asia for stunting, with an average rate of 36.4% from 2005 to 2017. In 2023, South Kalimantan reported a stunting prevalence of 24.6%, and the Liang Anggang health facility showed the highest incidence in Banjarbaru City at 20.75%, underscoring a substantial occurrence of short and very short newborns. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of literature from 2019 to 2024 on stunting risk factors among children under five. Using Google Scholar and the Garuda Portal, relevant articles were collected and analyzed for type, citation count, origin, publisher, and year. Findings underscore several prominent risk factors, including family support, health worker assistance, insurance coverage, and income level. Four articles met the inclusion criteria and were evaluated with the Critical Appraisal Approach, focusing on stunting prevalence in toddlers; of these, two examined family support, three highlighted health worker support, and two investigated insurance's impact on stunting. All articles indicate a strong correlation between household income and stunting prevalence, suggesting low-income families are particularly vulnerable. The study recommends that Puskesmas provide comprehensive education on stunting prevention, especially targeting low-income families.

Abstract

Based on the 2018 Riskesdas, South Kalimantan Province had almost 60% of health problems, while Banjarmasin City had the highest percentage of oral and dental diseases (38.2%). The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between the use of oral health services at the Banjarmasin City Health Center and factors such as accessibility to information, the availability of dental professionals, insurance coverage, medical facilities, income, and educational attainment. This study's design was cross-sectional. The Banjarmasin City Health Center housed ninety-seven research participants. The following variables' p values were found using multiple logistic regression and chi square analysis results: income (p=0.0221), insurance membership (p=0.0005), dental medical personnel availability (p=0.0005), education level (p=0.0005), and ease of information (p=0.000). The degree of education (Exp(B)=25.410) is the factor that most affects the use of oral health services at the Banjarmasin City Health Center. The results of this study indicate that the use of oral health services is correlated with factors such as insurance coverage, accessibility to dental professionals, degree of education, and health facilities. At the Puskesmas of Banjarmasin, there is, however, no correlation between income and the use of oral health service

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has established the Integrated Referral Information System (SISRUTE) to regulate the referral process of emergency patients vertically and horizontally. However, the practice of its use still varies greatly in various regions and its implementation is considered not optimal. Analyze the obstacles to implementing SISRUTE in the emergency room of RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya as a referral hospital in Central Kalimantan Province from the aspects of Communication, Resources, Disposition and Bureaucratic Structure. This is an qualitative research with the data collection process conducted through interviews with 15 informants selected by purposive sampling and document review. The transmission and consistency of information has been done well from the Health Office to the representatives of each health facility, but there is a lack of clarity of information due to the ignorance of other health facilities when they have difficulty using so they do not fill in SISRUTE.. The number of implementing human resources has been increased but is less active, although sources of information, authority, and supporting facilities are available. Bureaucratic arrangements or recruitment are appropriate, but there are no incentives. SPO is available but has not been updated, and a separate SISRUTE management team has been formed to divide responsibilities. The obstacles to the implementation of SISRUTE in the Emergency Room of Dr. Doris Sylvanus Hospital Palangka Raya are lack of clarity of information, limited number and inactivity of implementing human resources, no incentives, and SPO has not been updated. Keywords: Impementation, SISRUTE, Online Referrals, Emergency Department  ABSTRAK Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia telah menetapkan Sistem Informasi Rujukan Terintegrasi (SISRUTE) untuk mengatur proses rujukan pasien gawat darurat secara vertikal maupun horizontal.
