Abstract

Teachers have a key role in ensuring the safety of students during disasters, however, to carry out this role effectively, they need a deep understanding of disaster inclusive risk reduction education. Early age students are the group most at risk in disasters. Inclusive disaster preparedness education training for teachers aims to increase teacher competence in designing inclusive learning programs related to disaster preparedness in schools. Through participatory methods with an andragogy approach, teachers are trained to develop individual learning programs and develop learning tools that are responsive to students' needs. The training also includes the preparation of inclusive earthquake simulation scenarios, where participants learn to design safe and accessible evacuation routes and respond to various types of student needs. The results of this activity show a significant increase in teachers' understanding and skills regarding inclusive disaster preparedness, as evidenced by the learning tool products produced during the training. The importance of continuous training and collaboration with various stakeholders to strengthen disaster preparedness in schools

Abstract

Poor environmental sanitation and malnutrition are the leading causes of STH infection. This study aims to determine the relationship between ecological sanitation, nutritional status, and STH infection incidence in elementary school children. This type of research is descriptive research. The research location is UPT SDN 060831, Medan City. The sample was 32 respondent, Medan City students, obtained using the total sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaire instruments, Body Mass Index (BMI) examinations, and fecal examinations. The data were further analyzed univariately. The results showed that most environmental sanitation conditions did not qualify, such as latrine conditions (68.8%), SPAL conditions (75.0%), trash can conditions (87.5%), and clean water facilities (68.8%). Nutritional status (BMI/U) was most in the normal category (65.6%), and no helminth eggs were found in respondents (negative STH), so a relationship analysis could not be carried out. It is suggested that the school and parents support government programs related to providing mass worm- prevention drugs.

Abstract

The problem of bullying is a phenomenon that often occurs in the school environment. Facts show that students who often commit bullying acts have a less harmonious family background. The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between family conflict and the stages of bullying in male students in secondary school. This type of research is quantitative research. The subjects were students whose population was 450 people and only 76 students had bullying tendencies. These 76 students were selected as a sample in the study. Data collection techniques with instruments. Question instrument to investigate the Stage of Bullying Behavior. Family Conflict Violence Investigation is used to measure the stages of student family conflict. Measurement with Likert scale 1-5. Descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inference statistics (Pearson correlation test). Results and findings show that bullying rates among male students tend to be at low levels (2.52). It was found that the frequency of conflict was minimal for the type of sibling conflict within the scope of students at school and the most frequent conflict between parents and students. The findings suggest that family conflict factors need serious attention and are taken into account in designing intervention programs to prevent the phenomenon of bullying from becoming more serious in schools. The implications of this study point to the need for serious attention to family conflict factors in designing intervention programs to prevent the phenomenon of bullying from becoming more serious in schools.

Abstract

Abstract

Economic recovery after a crisis, such as a pandemic, is intricately linked to public health and nutritional well-being. Adequate nutrition is essential for maintaining productivity and labor capacity. This study investigates the relationship between daily nutritional intake (calories consumed) and economic recovery indicators, particularly income levels and productivity, in affected communities. A cross-sectional quantitative study was conducted involving 150 participants across five rural districts. Daily calorie intake was recorded using 24-hour dietary recall, and economic recovery was assessed via self-reported monthly income and weekly work hours. Regression analysis was employed to explore associations. Results showed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.62, p < 0.01) between daily caloric intake and monthly income. Participants with higher caloric intake (>2500 kcal/day) had 20–35% higher income levels and reported greater work productivity than those with lower intake. Adequate nutrition plays a key role in fostering economic resilience and productivity. Strengthening food access and dietary interventions can be effective strategies in supporting long-term economic recovery in vulnerable populations.

Abstract

Healthcare Information Systems (HIS) play a critical role in modern medical services by improving patient data management, clinical decision-making, and overall healthcare efficiency. However, existing HIS models face challenges related to interoperability, security, and processing efficiency. This study conducts a systematic literature review to evaluate cloud-based, blockchain-enhanced, and AI-driven HIS solutions. The proposed hybrid HIS model integrates AI-driven decision-making with blockchain-based security to enhance accuracy, interoperability, and data protection. The evaluation metrics include accuracy, latency, and security score, comparing the proposed system with state-of-the-art HIS implementations. Experimental results indicate that the hybrid HIS model achieves 93.4% accuracy, a security score of 0.90, and reduced latency (220 ms), outperforming traditional cloud-based and standalone blockchain solutions. These findings demonstrate that a hybrid approach balances efficiency and security, making HIS more practical for real-world applications. Future research should focus on real-world deployment, computational cost reduction, and regulatory compliance.
