Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji bagaimana penggunaan Teknik Discrete Trial Training (DTT)untuk menerapkan Metode Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) di kelas I SKH Elok Asri dapat membantu anakautis meningkatkan kontak mata mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jeniseksperimental. Variabel pada penelitian ini terbagi menjadi variabel bebas (Penggunaan metode ABA dan DTT)dan variabel terikat (Peningkatan kemampuan anak autis). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas satu autis diSekolah Dasar SKH Elok Asri. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara, rekaman, danobservasi. Setelah perolehan data maka akan dilakukan analisis dengan beberapa tahap di antaranya TahapBaseline 1 (A1), Tahap Intervensi (B), Tahap Baseline 2 (A2), dan Analisis Data. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukanhasil bahwa perbandingan data pada setiap fase dengan mean level menunjukkan dari fase baseline 1 (A1) yaitu14,35 detik, fase intervensi (B) yaitu 21,88 detik, dan fase Baseline 2 (A2) yaitu 17,55 detik. Terapi inimeningkatkan perubahan level data pada analisis fase baseline 1 dengan level perubahan yaitu (+0,7), faseintervensi level perubahan dalam kondisi meningkat yaitu (+6,6), fase baseline 2 dengan level perubahan dalamkondisi membaik yaitu (+0,2). Meskipun adanya penurunan dari fase intervensi ke fase baseline 2 tetapi hasil difase baseline 2 menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan dari fase baseline 1. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwapenerapan Metode Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Melalui Teknik Discrete Trial Training (DTT) terbuktidapat meningkatkan kontak mata pada siswa autis.

Abstract

This study was conducted due to problems observed in grade VII at SKh PGRI Rangkasbitung, where students had difficulty recognizing the vowels a, i, u, e, and o. The purpose of this study was to test the improvement in vowel recognition, especially in children with intellectual disabilities, through the use of sensory media. This study used a quantitative experimental approach with the Single Subject Research (SSR) method and an A-B-A research design. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and presented using line graphs. The participant in this study was a seventh-grade student with an intellectual disability, identified by the initial W. The findings indicate that the use of sensory pathway educational media improved the student's ability to recognize vowels. This improvement was reflected in an increase in the average score for both target behaviors. For target behavior 1 (naming vowels), the average score in the baseline-1 phase (A1) was 33%. After the intervention in phase B, the average score rose to 86.63%, and in baseline-2 (A2), the score remained at 73%. For target behavior 2 (pointing to vowels), the average score was 33% in A1, increased to 85.75% during the intervention (B), and then recorded 73% in A2. In conclusion, the results show that sensory path educational media is effective in improving the ability of 7th grade students with intellectual disabilities at SKh PGRI Rangkasbitung to recognize vowels.ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya masalah yang diamati pada kelas VII di SKh PGRI Rangkasbitung, di mana siswa kesulitan mengenali huruf vokal a, i, u, e, dan o. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji peningkatan kemampuan mengenali huruf vokal, khususnya pada anak-anak dengan disabilitas intelektual, melalui penggunaan media pendidikan sensory path. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimental kuantitatif dengan metode Single Subject Research (SSR) dan desain penelitian A-B-A. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan menggunakan grafik garis. Peserta dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang siswa kelas VII dengan gangguan intelektual, yang diidentifikasi dengan inisial W. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pendidikan sensory path meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengenali huruf vokal. Peningkatan ini tercermin dalam peningkatan skor rata-rata untuk kedua perilaku target. Untuk perilaku target 1 (menyebutkan vokal), skor rata-rata pada fase baseline-1 (A1) adalah 33%. Setelah intervensi pada fase B, skor rata-rata naik menjadi 86,63%, dan pada baseline-2 (A2), skor tetap pada 73%. Untuk perilaku target 2 (menunjuk huruf vokal), skor rata-rata adalah 33% di A1, meningkat menjadi 85,75% selama intervensi (B), dan kemudian tercatat 73% di A2. Kesimpulannya, hasil menunjukkan bahwa media pendidikan sensory path efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas 7 dengan disabilitas intelektual di SKh PGRI Rangkasbitung dalam mengenali huruf vokal.

Abstract

This research to examine the effectiveness of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) method in improving eye contact skills of children with autism at SKh Elok Asri. The research background is based on the fact that children with autism often face difficulties in social interaction, particularly in maintaining eye contact as a fundamental aspect of communication. The research employed an experimental method using a Single Subject Research (SSR) design with an A-B-A model, consisting of baseline 1 (A1), intervention (B), and baseline 2 (A2). The subject of this study was one elementary-aged child with autism who experienced challenges in eye contact. Data were collected through direct observation and recording of eye contact frequency in 30-minute sessions. The findings indicated a significant improvement in the child’s ability to make eye contact after the implementation of ABA. During baseline 1 (A1), the average frequency of eye contact was 9 times, which increased to an average of 17 times during the intervention phase (B), and remained at an average of 14 times during baseline 2 (A2). The study concludes that ABA is effective in enhancing eye contact skills among children with autism and can serve as an alternative behavioral intervention strategy in special education settings.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kontak mata anak autis di SKh Elok Asri. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari permasalahan anak autis yang cenderung mengalami hambatan dalam keterampilan interaksi sosial, khususnya dalam menjaga kontak mata sebagai salah satu aspek dasar komunikasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain subjek tunggal (Single Subject Research) model A-B-A, yang terdiri dari fase baseline 1 (A1), fase intervensi (B), dan fase baseline 2 (A2). Subjek penelitian adalah seorang anak autis kelas dasar dengan hambatan pada keterampilan kontak mata. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan pencatatan frekuensi kontak mata dalam setiap sesi dengan durasi 30 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kontak mata setelah penerapan metode ABA. Pada fase baseline 1 (A1) rata-rata frekuensi kontak mata anak adalah 9 kali, meningkat menjadi rata-rata 17 kali pada fase intervensi (B), dan tetap terjaga pada rata-rata 14 kali pada fase baseline 2 (A2). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan metode ABA efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kontak mata anak autis, serta dapat menjadi alternatif strategi intervensi dalam pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

Accessibility to printed materials and independent recognition of the environment remain key challenges for students with visual impairments. To address this issue, this study introduces Demata 2.0, a fully offline on device multimodal AI system. The system integrates Google ML Kit for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and the YOLOv10 model via TensorFlow Lite for object detection. A mathematical distance algorithm in the RGB color space enables color identification. Evaluation showed that object detection achieved a mean average precision of 31.83%, with an average processing speed of 2–3 FPS. For OCR, the system recorded a Character Error Rate (CER) of 4.81% and a Word Error Rate (WER) of 10.71% on printed documents. The RGB algorithm also determined the closest possible color effectively. Overall, Demata 2.0 advances assistive technology by providing an efficient and practical blueprint for AI integration.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the accessibility of the physical environment for students with disabilities at Ageng Tirtayasa university. To support the activities of disabled students on campus, of course, universities must provide accessible facilities and infrastructure for students with disabilities. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, broadly this research goes through 3 stages and this research will be carried out at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University with research informants 2 policy makers at the university and faculty level, 3 students with disabilities where the results obtained from this study are Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University has provided physical accessibility facilities for students with disabilities such as guaiding blocks, ramps and hand trails, lifts in the new building and access to classes on the ground floor for students with disabilities in the old building. However, the provision of this accessibility is still not optimal, but until now the University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa continues to strive to provide accessibility according to standards in new buildings which are still in progress.

Abstract

This study aimed to implement the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)-based Loose Part Play Media on an understanding of cerebral palsy pre-service teachers in the city of Serang. The participants in this study are cerebral palsy pre-service teachers in Serang, Indonesia. The participant was 21 teachers. The method in this activity is a case study. The results showed that increasing of the STEM understanding was 26.2. It can be concluded that the STEM-based loose part play media can increase the STEM understanding of the pre-service teachers to find solutions to the problems faced by cerebral palsy pre-service teachers in Serang. An increase in understanding achievement indicates this through loose part play STEM of 26.2 (seen from the initial and final test), and the pre-service teacher's understanding of STEM-based loose play part media is 82.5.
