Abstract

Berdasarkan percobaan pada mesin E-Fill diperoleh nilai OEE rata-rata hanya 57,3% (cycle time 15 detik) dan 61,7% (cycle time 16 detik).

Abstract

The use of solar panels is being pursued as a solution to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. However, solar panels face challenges such as power fluctuations due to environmental conditions and partial shading. To address these issues, an MPPT technique using Zebra Optimization Algorithm (ZOA) has been developed, which integrates foraging behaviour and defensive strategies to achieve GMPP. Simulation testing results show the superiority of ZOA over PSO in achieving GMPP. ZOA's contribution in addressing this problem is to efficiently perform a global search to find the optimal MPP, even under varying partial shading conditions. The algorithm mimics the behaviour of zebras in foraging and defending against predator attacks, enabling a fast solution search process and higher precision. ZOA can overcome the local maxima trap by expanding the search space, allowing solar panels to function close to optimal efficiency even if there is shading on a portion of the module. This improves system stability and performance and reduces energy loss due to partial shading. ZOA achieved a tracking accuracy of 99.99% with an average tracking time of 0.779 seconds and with a power gain of 28.5%, surpassing PSO with an accuracy of 95.18%, an average trcking time of 0.850 seconds with a power gain of 24.68%. In hardware testing, ZOA is also superior to PSO with an average tracking accuracy of 98.96% while PSO is 97.22%. These results underline the outstanding performance of the ZOA algorithm in optimising the power output of solar panels.

Abstract

The health and comfort of infants are highly sensitive to room environmental factors, particularly temperature and humidity, which play a critical role in supporting their well-being. Managing these factors becomes complex due to constant fluctuations in ambient conditions, necessitating the use of advanced technology to ensure stability and adaptability. This study explores the application of fuzzy logic in designing a temperature and humidity control system for infant rooms, aiming to maintain an optimal environment for infant care. Fuzzy logic offers a robust approach for handling variability, enabling precise adjustments based on a set of predefined rules and inputs. The system operates by processing real-time input values of temperature and humidity and producing adaptive responses through control outputs, such as cooler, heater, and blower settings. These adjustments are determined by a series of if-then rules that interpret the input conditions to produce the necessary responses. Experimental testing and evaluation confirm that the fuzzy logic-based control system effectively maintains room temperature and humidity within the desired range. The results indicate that this approach can successfully sustain a stable and comfortable environment, underscoring its potential application in enhancing infant health and comfort through controlled indoor climate conditions.

Abstract

Application of Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) Algorithm in determining PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) parameters to optimize AC motor control through simulation using MATLAB. AC motors are a critical component in a wide range of industrial applications requiring efficient control to ensure optimal stability and response. This research focuses on optimizing the motor's RPM control by fine-tuning PID parameters using the ACO algorithm. Precise RPM control is crucial for maintaining performance in dynamic industrial environments. The ACO algorithm is used to optimize the PID parameter by referring to the objective function of Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE). The optimization results show that this algorithm can achieve optimal convergence in the 33rd iteration with a fitness value of 6269. The optimal PID parameters obtained were Kp of 164.98, Ki of 23.47, and Kd of 10.51. The simulation of the AC motor control system shows a significant improvement in performance compared to the Trial-and-Error method. The simulation results demonstrate that ACO reduces steady-state errors by up to 9%, while Trial-and-Error reaches 25%. The settling time is also faster with ACO, which is 0.7 seconds, compared to the Trial-and-Error method which takes longer. The use of the ACO method in PID tuning has been proven to be more efficient and accurate than conventional approaches, thus improving the RPM stability and response of the AC motor control system. This study concludes that the integration between ACO and PID can be the optimal solution in automated control applications in industries that require responsive and stable motor RPM control.
