Abstract

Kebutuhan teknologi kapal di zaman yang terus berkembang harus diimbangi dengan inovasi akan peningkatan fungsi teknologi. Air kotor yang ditampung dalam tangki pembuangan di kapal berupa kotoran manusia, cairan medis, air bekas laundry dan dapur, dan air hasil pemisahan oli. Pembuangan air kotor yang masih manual di beberapa kapal, diupayakan untuk dijadikan otomatis. Penambahan sensor akan mempermudah awak kapal dalam memantau level volume yang terisi di tangki pembuangan air. Pembuatan purwarupa membutuhkan kalibrasi sensor yang digunakan yaitu sensor ultrasonik JSN-SR04. Cara kalibrasi yaitu membandingkan hasil pembacaan sensor JSN-SR04 dengan alat ukur penggaris. Untuk memastikan akurasi pembacaan sensor maka dilakukan kalibrasi. Kalibrasi pengukuran jarak obyek menggunakan pembanding berupa penggaris. Hasil Pembacaam Sensor Ultrasonik JSN-SR04 dapat berfungsi sesuai yang dibutuhkan saat diletakkan di atas tangki purwarupa. Aktuator berupa pompa dan solenoid bekerja sesuai dengan program yang dibuat. Permukaan air yang tidak rata akibat guncangan dapat mempengaruhi pembacaan nilai sensor ultrasonik. Sistem sebaiknya ditambahkan komponen notifikasi seperti alarm buzzer atau lampu sebagai penanda air kotor telah dibuang atau tangki sedang kosong.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini, akan dibuat prototipe sistem kontrol suhu yang akan mendinginkan air menggunakan thermoelectrik cooler sebagai alternatif pendingin yang menggunakan freon dan ukuran yang relative besar. Pada penelitian ini selain menggunakan thermoelectrik cooler sebagai bahan utama pendingin tetapi juga menggunakan kipas untuk membuang kalor dari thermoelectrik cooler tersebut sehingga suhu dingin yang dihasilkan menjadi lebih maksimal. Selain itu, Arduino juga digunakan sebagai kontrol utama alat ini dan mengatur relay yang mana jika alat tersebut telah mencapai suhu yang diinginkan akan otomatis mati agar menghemat energi, menampilkan suhu yang terbaca oleh sensor suhu pada LCD. Kegiatan penelitian diawali dengan proses berpikir ilmiah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang masalah penelitian yang akan dilakukan. Selama proses berpikir, kegiatan identifikasi masalah dilakukan melalui wawancara dan observasi lapangan. Pada penelitian kali ini, terdapat masalah yang terjadi pada mesin extruder tali mono yang menyebabkan rusaknya hasil produksi untuk pembuatan tali dan dan jaring. Rusaknya hasil produksi terletak pada proses pengkondisian suhu yang terdapat pada wadah bak air dingin yang suhunya juga panas akibat dari benang senar yang melewati tahap sebelumnya, hal ini menyebabkan hasil benang senar mudah putus dan menumpuk pada bak air dingin saat mesin beroperasi lama. Untuk menjaga kestabilan suhu pada  bak air mesin extruder, diperlukan sirkulasi air yang tepat tanpa membuang air lama yang telah panas dengan yang baru, yaitu dengan melewati sistem pendinginan pada tangki pendingin yang telah dirancang dengan baik. Dengan menjaga kestabilan suhu pada air, maka air yang seharusnya dapat mencapai suhu <70?C dan dapat merusak hasil produksi bahan dasar pembuatan tali dan jaring ini  dapat distabilkan hingga hampir sama dengan suhu air normal yaitu <27?C didaerah Surabaya dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

Dengan berkembangnya teknologi otomasi di dunia industri, sistem monitoring operasional mesin industri merupakan sistem yang penting agar setiap mesin dapat dipantau kondisi dan tetap terjaga performanya, sehingga kegiatan industri tetap berjalan dan keselamatan pekerja dapat terjaga. Pada Workshop PT. X, terdapat mesin bantu yang memiliki peran penting dalam pengerjaan di setiap divisi adalah air compressor. Tangki kompresor telah dimodifikasi yang menjadi dua tangki sehingga kapasitas penyimpanan udara meningkat, karena itu membuat mesin kompresor bekerja 2-3 kali lebih lama dengan intensitas penggunaan yang tinggi dapat menjadikan penurunan performa kompresor lebih cepat hingga menimbulkan permasalahan yang fatal. Dari permasalahan yang ada, penulis ingin mebuat sistem monitoring dan proteksi berbasis IoT, untuk pemantauan kondisi dari air compressor melalui beberapa parameter pada interface panel dan website. Fitur pada website selain memonitoring secara realtime juga terdapat fungsi data record untuk mengetahui histori monitoring dengan jangka waktu yang dapat ditentukan. Untuk memudahkan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan tugas akhir ini memerlukan gambaran yang sistematis. Tahapan penyusunan penelitian ini adalah dengan mengidentifikasi masalah berdasarkan masalah yang timbul dilapangan. Tahap kedua adalah studi literatur mengenai air compressor dan sistem monitoring berbasis IoT. Lalu terdapat tahapan perencanaan, penyiapan komponen, perancangan sistem pada hardware dan software, kemudian pengukuran dan pengambilan data dan yang terakhir adalah tahapan dalam analisa serta pembahasan data. Nilai pembacaan yang ditunjukan oleh alat ukur terhadap media monitoring dari pressure gate (gauge) dengan sensor pressure pada tampilan display panel dan website memiliki selisih yang kecil pada hasil pembacaan air pressure. Nilai pembacaan yang ditunjukan oleh alat ukur multimeter terhadap media monitorg dari dengan power meter PM1200 pada tampilan display panel dan website memiliki selisih yang kecil pada hasil pembacaan arus dan voltase. Selisih tersebut disebabkan karena eror nilai akurasi dari sensor dan juga terdapat delay pengiriman data. Nilai eror yang terbaca pada sensor kecil, sehingga dapat diimplementasikan pada industri secara riil.

Abstract

In this era, people are very dependent on electric motors. The use of electric motors covers various fields, ranging from household appliances, industrial equipment, robots, airplanes, computers, and other electronic devices that require electric motors for propulsion. With the advancement of today's engine technology, the engine is expected to be reliable and provide maximum efficiency characteristics. To achieve this, you can make the following changes to some parts of the machine to make it work properly and with maximum efficiency. Below is a flow chart that begins with observing and looking for literary studies in journals, books, and dissertations. After finding the concept from observations, making a circuit with PSIM, entering these parameters, then looking for the parameters of the DC motor components, then the circuit design is carried out. After the circuit is complete, PSIM will run the simulation. If you have already measured the existing parameters. After the survey is conducted, a survey report is generated. This study helps to design a fully uncontrolled rectifier system for DC motors to minimize design errors made in the field. That is, using PSIM software. In this experiment, there are several obstacles that even greatly affect the final results of the experiment which are not optimal and not convincing.

Abstract

The coast is an area that has the potential to be used as a tourist spot, including for turtle conservation which is relied on as an economic support. Turtles are one of the animals protected by law. Not only are they protected by law because it is feared that they will eventually become extinct, but in marine ecosystems turtles also have their own benefits. The Turtle Conservation "Mutiara Laut Masaran" which is located on Sumbreng Beach, East Java is one of the turtle conservation areas developed by the Lentera Trenggalek Community. Activities carried out at the "Mutiara Laut Masaran" turtle conservation include relocating turtle eggs, rearing turtle eggs, combing eggs, and also releasing hatchlings. There are 5 types of turtles that are protected on Sumbreng beach, some of which are green turtles and hawksbill turtles, which are included in the Appendix I category, which means they are prohibited from international trade. Apart from visiting tourists being able to see the turtle breeding process, this conservation also provides economic tourism such as small Jeep facilities that are used to get around the beach and the release of hatchlings in certain months. However, due to the lack of exposure to this conservation area. This results in a small number of tourists coming, and also some tourists who come in the wrong months and cannot directly see the hatchlings being released onto the beach. Therefore, this dedication brings an innovation in the form of a website facility which is useful for updating all activities taking place at the "Mutiara Laut Masaran" Turtle Conservation. So it can attract more tourists to visit this tourist attraction and tourists can also find out which months are effective for visiting this tourist attraction. It is hoped that the "Mutiara Laut Masaran" turtle conservation can have the potential for educational tourism which can be developed further, so that it can support the economy of the surrounding community and can also be used as a source of income to manage the turtle conservation itself.

Abstract

In the automotive world, each engine has different characteristics and functions, such as engine power, engine torque, and engine fuel emissions. Therefore, the power meter is used as a tool that can provide information about the engine characteristics. To ensure optimal braking performance of the dynamometer.is use eddy current braking dynamometer. his paper provides a comparative analysis between PID control as a classical control technique and modern control technique in the dynamometer eddy current brakes system. Eddy current brakes is a modern braking system that requires a control system to support the braking performance. PID control is often used to be implemented but, in some conditions, it is less optimal. This paper aims to find out that LQR and PID can support the performance of the Eddy current brakes dynamometer. And also to find out that LQR is better and optimal than PID controller for braking time response on Eddy current brakes dynamometer. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a modern and optimal control, such as a full state feedback Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR). The expected result of the research is to produce a control design for the Eddy current brakes dynamometer system using the LQR control method. So that it can be used for the development of the automotive world and is beneficial for the survival of the communityThe comparison of the braking time responses were simulated using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show that the response of LQR control is better than the PID, with Ts = 2.12 seconds, Tr = 1.18 seconds, and without overshoot. On the other side, PID control, although having Ts = 0.27 seconds and Tr = 0.18 seconds, there is still an overshoot about 0.7%.

Abstract

The development of the use of environmentally friendly renewable energy has been widely carried out, one of which is the use of energy as a turbine driver at the Pico Hydro Power Plant. The main problem in the use of energy, especially water energy is the flow of water which can affect the flow of water used to rotate the turbine so that the voltage on the DC link cannot be kept constant. Therefore, in this paper, we design and simulate the process of charging lead acid batteries with a zeta converter and a Pico Hydro Power Plant as the main source. The use of batteries in this system as energy storage if the river flow is heavy, the charging process will be carried out and if the river flow decreases, the battery will help to supply household loads. Due to the river flow which is very dependent on natural conditions, the power generated is also fluctuating so we need a control that can produce a constant output voltage from the zeta converter which is used for the battery charging process. Therefore, the aim of using a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is to keep the output voltage of the zeta converter constant so that it can maintain battery life. The results obtained in the close loop simulation test are a constant output voltage of 14.4 V and an output current of 6.64 A so that it can be used for the battery charging process that will be used for household lighting.

Abstract

Digital thermometers are measuring instruments needed to perform temperature measurement actions and must be calibrated periodically according to standard measurement methods. The purpose of developing this tool is to add PID control to the calibration media where PID control aims to regulate the stability of the temperature setting to be achieved. This is achieved by studying and evaluating the effect of temperature stability on the heater and LM35DZ temperature sensor. This research method uses the Arduino Nanosystem for data processing and PID system control. The LM35DZ temperature sensor on the heater is regulated by a 2 Channel SSR module using a PID system then the temperature generated by the heater will be read by the LM35DZ and displayed on the LCD. The results of this study, digital thermometer calibrator measurements have been successfully carried out by comparing 3 digital thermometers with different brands, namely Omron 343F, Omron 245, and ThermoOne. The difference in error values in oil media is 3-4% and in water media 2-4% with the value of time stability in water media for 3-3.3 minutes and in oil media for 1-2 hours. With this comparison of calibration media, it is hoped that it can help in measuring temperature with better and more effective results. find methods, results, conclusions.

Abstract

PT. ROFENTI KARSA TAMA is a ceramic industry that produces products in the form of ceramics from natural stone which are addressed in Winong GEMPOL Village - MALANG. To produce a perfect ceramic process requires absolutely reliable electrical and mechanical equipment. In an automatic system a frequency converter is used as a speed regulator, because in a manual system using a grinder, the capacity is only 0.57Kw (kilowatts), and the production effect is not good. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to design an automatic polishing machine using a PLC-based converter. Based on the PLC, the capacity is 5 or 5 Kw (kilowatts). This system can increase ceramic output and improve quality. In this case, assuming that the operator usually uses an automatic system to complete the work of the three operators, the polishing machine production costs can be reduced. Through system improvement, production quality can be improved, manual polishing operators can only produce 480 pieces per day, while the automatic system can produce 1,536 pieces. One day, the polishing operator will save production costs of Rp 2.7 million per month

Abstract

Currently, the demand for electrical energy in homes, buildings, and industry is increasing, in line with population and economic growth. Of course, because of the massive use of electrical energy, it is necessary to increase efficiency. Large shopping malls in some countries are the biggest consume electricity, especially when it comes to cooling systems. Therefore, it is necessary to save energy in shopping centers. Because there are still few tenants and shopping centers that are relatively quiet, the mall's energy consumption is low, so it requires increasing energy-efficient consumption efficiency by optimizing power management and calculating the chiller performance coefficient (COP). This research aims to increase the chiller performance coefficient (COP) to save energy in shopping centers. The optimization method used is to make changes to the chiller ignition schedule when it's used in malls. Through the analysis from this research, it was found that the COP increased to 0.584, and the value before optimization was 6.181. With increasing COP, the chiller performance will increase. The effect of increasing the chiller's performance could optimize the electrical energy efficiency of the chiller in 138.82 kWh / day
