Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the level of self regulated learning mathematics in 8th grade junior high school students in online learning. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects studied in this study were 20 8th grade students of a SMPN in Cileunyi. The data collection technique used in this study is to provide a student self regulated learning questionnaire consisting of 10 statements that include 4 indicators. The data analysis technique used is the formula for the percentage of students' answers, then the interpretation criteria for the percentage of answers are used to describe the results of data analysis. Analysis of 20 students who answered the questionnaire revealed an average level of student independence in learning of 75%. Based on the results of these percentages, it can be interpreted that almost all students are able to learn mathematics independently, but considering the importance of student self regulated learning, it must be maintained and continuously improved

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari kurangnya kemampuan berpikir logis siswa kelas VII di SMPN 4 Rancah kabupaten Ciamis dan jarangnya guru membuat bahan ajar matematis yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Sehingga, tujuan dilakukannya penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Proses pengembangan bahan ajar matematis berbasis Socrates question, (2) Validitas bahan ajar matematis berbasis Socrates question, (3) kemampuan berpikir logis siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar matematis berbasis Socrates question, dan (4) kelayakan bahan ajar matematis berbasis Socrates question. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode Research and Development (RnD) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Proses pengembangan bahan ajar dilakukan sesuai dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, (2) Bahan ajar matematis berbasis Socrates question dinyatakan valid dengan kriteria sangat valid, (3) Kemampuan berpikir logis siswa mencapai kategori cukup, dan (4) Bahan ajar matematis berbasis Socrates question dinyatakan efektif dan layak untuk digunakan. Hasil pengembangan yang telah dilakukan berupa bahan ajar matematis berbasis Socrates question berbentuk buku.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of Self-Directed Learning (SDL) based learning models in encouraging students' mathematical literacy skills. The SDL learning model aims to give students the ability to become independent and skilled learners in understanding, analyzing and solving mathematical problems in various situations. This research adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, which follows a series of systematic steps to collect, review and analyze scientific literature related to the research discussion, namely regarding Self Directed Learning (SDL) based learning methods and mathematical literacy skills. These findings show how well the SDL-based learning model works to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics. Students who use SDL in their math classes report being more motivated, independent, and having a deeper understanding of the material. In addition, SDL can support the growth of students' mathematical literacy skills, including reasoning, problem solving, communication, and the use of mathematical instruments. One of the efficient substitute learning models for increasing students' mathematical literacy levels is the SDL-based learning model. Students can be successful in their education and life by using the Self-Directed Learning learning model in teaching mathematics effectively

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan design Nonequivalent control grup design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan non tes. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu; (i) Keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran guru dan siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik; (ii) Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional model ekspositori termasuk dalam kategori sangat kurang; (iii) Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran aktif tipe pengajuan dan pemecahan masalah (JUCAMA) termasuk dalam kategori sangat kurang; (iv) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran aktif tipe pengajuan dan pemecahan masalah (JUCAMA) lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional model ekspositori; serta (v) Siswa kebanyakan merespon positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran aktif tipe pengajuan dan pemecahan masalah (JUCAMA).

Abstract

This research endeavors to assess the allocation of mathematics education courses concerning mathematics computer technology, metacognition, and meta-skills in mathematics learning. It also aims to gauge the outcomes of mathematical metacognition abilities through the utilization of mathematical computer applications. Employing a mixed-method approach, the study simultaneously gathered and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative data were derived from the outcomes of metacognition abilities, while qualitative information was obtained from curriculum documents and metacognition abilities. The metacognition thinking ability test comprised 10 short descriptions related to differential and integral calculus material. The participants were 45 seventh-semester students majoring in mathematics education during the 2021/2022 academic year at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, all of whom undertook mathematics computer application courses. The findings indicate that the mathematics education study program has implemented a curriculum fostering the attainment of qualifications for graduates adept at applying mathematical computer technology, evidenced by the distribution of computer technology-based courses. Metacognition and meta-skills are deemed essential in preparing prospective teachers to engage in higher-level thinking and effectively apply new knowledge, particularly through the application of mathematical computer programs. Notably, students demonstrated good metacognition abilities based on the assessment results.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sebaran mata kuliah pendidikan matematika berbasis teknologi komputer matematika, metakognitif dan meta skill pada pembelajaran matematika, dan hasil kemampuan metakognitif matematik dengan menggunakan aplikasi komputer matematika. Metode penelitian ini adalah mix method dengan pendekatan penelitian integrative, data kualitatif dan kuantitatif dikumpulkan secara bersamaan dan dianalisis. Metode kuantitatif berupa hasil kemampuan metakognitif, data kualitatif berupa dokumen kurikulum dan kemampuan metakognitif. Analisis data berupa hasil tes kemampuan berpikir metakognitif terdiri dari 10 uraian singkat terdiri dari materi kalkulus diferensial dan integral. Subjek penelitian adalah 45 mahasiswa semester VII tahun akademik 2021/2022 pendidikan matematika UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung yang menerima mata kuliah aplikasi komputer matematika. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa program studi pendidikan matematika telah mengimplementasikan kurikulum yang mendorong capaian kualifikasi lulusan terampil mengaplikasikan dan memanfaatkan teknologi komputer matematika berupa sebaran mata kuliah berbasis teknologi komputer. Metakognitif dan meta skill dibutuhkan untuk menyiapkan mahasiswa calon guru untuk mampu berpikir tingkat tinggi dan terampil menggunakan pengetahuan baru berupa penerapan aplikasi komputer matematika. Hasil kemampuan metakognitif mahasiswa dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman bagi guru sekolah/madrasah berbasis pesantren di lingkungan LP Maarif NU Metro dalam mengembangakan perangkat penilaian otentik berorientasi merdeka belajar. Objek dan target pengabdian ini adalah guru sekolah atau madarasah berbasis pesantren di lingkungan LP Maarif NU Metro. Pengabdian ini direncanakan dilaksanakan di Metro Lampung dalam rentang waktu tanggal 26 November 2022 sampai 26 Januari 2022. Kegiatan akan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop. Adapun metode pendampingan yang digunakan adalah Asset Bassed Community Development (ABCD). Luaran yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah: 1) Guru sekolah/madrasah berbasis pesantren di bawah naungan PCLP Maarif NU Metro mempunyai kesiapan dan kemampuan dalam mendesain perangkat penilaian otentik berorientasi merdeka belajar, 2) Terjalin kerjasama yang baik antara IAIMNU Metro Lampung dengan beberapa sekolah di Propinsi Lampung, dan 3) Buku PKM yang ber-ISBN atau artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan di Jurnal Pengabdian.

Abstract

Mathematical logical abilities are really needed, one of which is in solving complex problems that students will face, for this reason they need to be trained, studied and conveyed to students. This research method is qualitative descriptive research with a literature study approach from various book sources, journal articles and other relevant sources. The research results showed that mathematical logical abilities can be trained through methods, media, and mathematical problems in the form of questions in the form of educational games, computational thinking (CT) questions, and puzzles because they are related to students' ability to solve problems by drawing conclusions through logical reasoning. The practical benefits of students studying CT are improving problem solving abilities, improving logical thinking and analytical abilities. The advantage of students learning educational games, puzzles and HOTS questions is that they train and develop students' abilities to think logically, critically and creatively.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 menimpa seluruh dunia dan memberikan dampak diseluruh sektor kehidupan, khususnya sektor pendidikan. Pada saat pandemi ini peneliti melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaan matematis siswa pada materi trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa pada kelas XI disalah satu SMA Negeri Kabupaten Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase ketercapaian dari keempat indikator kemampuan pemahaman matematis memperoleh hasil dibawah 50%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada materi trigonometri dimasa pandemi covid-19 ini masih rendah dan masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to channel students' ability to solve mathematical problems, especially those related to linear equations and dependent on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). With 18 students as research subjects in one of the junior high schools in Bandung Regency, a quantitative descriptive method was used. Understanding the problem, planning a solution strategy, implementing the plan, and re-checking the solution are Polya's problem-solving indicators used to collect data. The results showed that most students still failed to re-check and plan a solution strategy. In addition, there was a significant variation in ability among students, with most being in the medium and low ability categories. The problems faced by students included failure to systematically submit concepts when planning strategies and lack of thoroughness in re-checking answers to ensure their correctness. Therefore, a more effective learning approach is needed with a focus on strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills through HOTS practice questions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine students' mathematical critical thinking ability in relation to their learning motivation and self-confidence. The research sample consists of 18 ninth-grade students from a private junior high school in Bandung. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with a descriptive quantitative method. This study employs two research instruments. The first is a test used to measure critical thinking skills in the form of a posttest. The second is a questionnaire to assess students' learning motivation and self-confidence. Based on the results, it can be concluded that: 1) Higher learning motivation is positively correlated with higher critical thinking ability. 2) Higher self-confidence is positively correlated with higher critical thinking ability.
