Abstract

Abstract: One of the efforts of the Ministry of Education and Culture to support the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum is to carry out a learning transformation process, with one focus being digital transformation. So the Merdeka Mengajar Platform, known as PMM, is an application that is expected to be able to support the development of the competencies of educators and education staff in Indonesia. This research discusses the Principal's efforts to optimize the use of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) at Al-Ma'moen High School as a response to the learning crisis after the Covid-19 pandemic. In this case, school principals must implement appropriate management so that the use of digital transformation, especially in the Merdeka Mengajar Platform, can be optimal. The aim of this research is to obtain an overview of the principal's management in increasing the optimization of the use of PMM at Al-Ma'moen High School. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of data analysis show that the school principal's managerial leadership in increasing the optimization of the use of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform has been quite effective. The school principal has carried out these management functions, so that the planned program can run well and achieve the predetermined goals.Keywords: Principal Management, Digital Transformation. Abstrak: Salah satu upaya dari Kemendikbudristek untuk mendukung implementasi kurikulum Merdeka tersebut adalah melakukan proses transformasi pembelajaran, dengan fokus salah satunya adalah transformasi digital. Maka Platform Merdeka Mengajar yang dikenal dengan PMM ini menjadi aplikasi yang diharapkan mampu mendukung pengembangan kompetensi pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini membahas upaya Kepala Sekolah dalam mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) di SMA Al-Ma'moen sebagai respons terhadap krisis pembelajaran pasca-pandemi Covid-19. Dalam hal ini, kepala sekolah harus menerapkan manajemen yang tepat agar pemanfaatan transformasi digital terutama dalam Platform Merdeka Mengajar ini dapat optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang manajemen kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan optimalisasi pemanfaatan PMM di SMA Al-Ma’moen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa kepemimpinan manajerial kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan optimalisasi pemanfaatan Platform Merdeka Mengajar telah berjalan cukup efektif. Kepala sekolah sudah melaksanakan fungsi manajemen tersebut, sehingga program yang sudah direncanakan dapat berjalan dengan baik dan dapat mencapai tujuan yang telah ditentukan.Kata Kunci: manajemen kepala sekolah, transformasi digital.

Abstract

Abstract : The character values that are the basis for organizing standby scouting activities at Puncaklawang State Elementary School, Cidaun subdistrict, Cianjur district are based on the school's Vision and Mission, although other values are still developed in every scouting education activity. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection methods and techniques used are observation, interviews, focus group discussions, literature studies. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive analysis techniques, then the data will be reduced, displayed, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the research show that activities carried out regularly and on a schedule using the creative game method in scouting activities will foster the impact of character values that are born naturally. The impact of Scouting activities in shaping the character values of students at Puncaklawang State Elementary School is very significant and can directly shape values. positive student character and fostering noble character, the value of discipline, responsibility and leadership values will emerge.Key Words: Implementation, Scouting, Student character valuesAbstrak : Nilai-nilai karakter yang menjadi dasar penyelenggaraan kegiatan kepramukaan siaga di SD Negeri Puncaklawang kecamatan Cidaun kabupaten Cianjur didasarkan pada Visi dan Misi sekolah, meskipun nilai-nilai lain tetap dikembangkan dalam setiap kegiatan pendidikan kepramukaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan teknik Observasi ,Wawancara ,Focus Group Discussion ,Studi literatur.Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisa deskriptif kemudian data akan direduksi,didisplay, pemgambilan kesimpulan dan perivikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kegiatan yang dilakukan secara rutin dan terjadwal dengan menggunakan metode permainan yang pareatif dalam kegiatan pramuka akan menumbuhkan dampak nilai karakter yang lahir secara alamiah .Dampak kegiatan Pramuka dalam membentuk nilai karakter siswa di SD Negeri Puncaklawang ini sangat signifikan secara langnsung bisa membentuk nilai karakter siswa yang positif dan menumbuhkan budi pekerti yang luhur, maka akan lahir nilai kedisiplinan, nilai tanggungjawab dan nilai kepemimpinan.Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Pramuka,Nilai karakter Siswa

Abstract

Abstract: Al-Riyadl Islamic Boarding School is a pure Salafi Islamic boarding school, which only holds yellow book recitations using the sorogan, balagan and wetonan methods. In carrying out its learning, continuing to keep up with the times, Al-Riyadl Islamic Boarding School does not abandon the old tradition, namely pure Salafi. Al-Riyadl Islamic Boarding School responds to technological developments in relation to digital-based curriculum management. The case study in this research was used to determine the planning, organizing, commanding, coordinating and supervising of the Al-Riyadl Islamic Boarding School in response to technological developments in relation to digital-based curriculum management. Qualitative methodology is used in research that focuses on natural conditions in a place or event and uses stages in accordance with the rules or steps required for data collection. Al-Riyadl Islamic Boarding School is located in a community environment that does not have closed borders or fortifications like Islamic boarding schools in general. Combining formal and non-formal education with the aim of maximizing the organization and supervision of students while not eliminating the old tradition of Islamic boarding schools. The digital-based Islamic boarding school curriculum includes several subjects such as inheritance and astronomy lessons using scientific calculators. The use of smartphones and laptops is also carried out during evaluations where the test questions are done digitally and also includes elements of technology in Islamic boarding school management, although not yet optimally, but for the next school year we will make more mature plans in implementing digitalization.Keyword : Boarding School, Curriculum, DigitalizationAbstrak: Pesantren Al-Riyadl merupakan Pesantren Salafi murni, yang  hanya mengadakan pengajian kitab kuning dengan metode sorogan, balagan, dan wetonan. Dalam melaksanakan pembelajarannya, terus mengikuti perkembangan zaman, Pesantren Al-Riyadl tidak meninggalkan tradisi lama yakni salafi murni. Pesantren Al-Riyadl menyikapi perkembangan teknologi dalam hubungannya dengan manajemen kurikulum berbasis digital. Studi kasus dalam penelitian ini digunakan  untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengkomandoan, pengkoordinasian, dan pengawasan Pesantren Al-Riyadl menyikapi perkembangan teknologi dalam hubungannya dengan manajemen kurikulum berbasis digital. Metodelogi kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian yang mengarah pada kondisi alamiah di suatu tempat atau kejadian dan menggunakan tahapan-tahapan sesuai dengan aturan atau langkah yang diperlukan untuk pengumpulan data. Pesantren Al-Riyadl berlokasi di lingkungan masyarakat yang tidak memiliki batas atau benteng tertutup seperti pada pesantren pada umumnya. Penggabungan pendidikan formal dan nonformal dengan tujuan agar pengorganisasian dan pengawasan kepada para santri lebih maksimal dengan tetap tidak menghilangkan tradisi lama sebagai pondok pesantren. Kurikulum pesantren berbasis digital dimasukan pada  beberapa mata pelajaran seperti pelajaran waris dan falak dengan media kalkulator saintifik. Penggunaan smartphone dan laptop juga dilakukan saat evaluasi dimana soal tes dikerjakan secara digital juga memasukan unsur  teknologi dalam manajemen pesantren, meskipun belum secara maksimal, tetapi untuk tahun ajaran kedepannya akan membuat perencanaan yang lebih matang dalam penerapan digitalisasi. Kata Kunci : Kurikulum, Digital, Pesantren

Abstract

Early character education is crucial, especially during a child's golden age (0–6 years). Due to challenges like moral decline and negative environmental factors, Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions need programs that are structured and continuous. This study aims to analyze how principals manage the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children (G7KAIH) program using the POAC cycle (Plan- Organizing-Actuating-Controlling) to create a strong character culture within the school. The Seven Habits Program covers seven main habits: waking up early, worshiping, exercising, eating healthy food, loving to learn, interacting socially, and sleeping early. The goal is to develop highly capable individuals with strong character. We used a descriptive qualitative approach for this research at PAUD TK Aisyiyah 1 Rancaekek, which has run The Seven Habits Program since 2023. The result show that implementing The Seven Habits Program positively affects students’ character, increasing their independence, discipline, and social care. The main analysis will focus on how the principal's planning, execution, evaluation, and follow-up successfully integrate The Seven Habits Program systematically and fully into the school environment

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of educational supervision based on Edward Deming’s Total Quality Management (TQM) principles in improving learning quality. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis to capture supervisory practices. Data were analyzed using the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle as a framework for supervision quality management. The findings reveal that educational supervision is implemented systematically through structured planning, professional execution, evidence-based evaluation, and continuous follow-up. The Check and Act stages play a critical role in strengthening teacher professionalism, fostering reflective practices, and sustaining a culture of quality improvement. These stages enable supervisors to use evaluative data as a basis for corrective actions and continuous development. The study implies that integrating TQM principles into educational supervision can transform supervision from a predominantly administrative function into a strategic mechanism for enhancing instructional quality. This research contributes both conceptually and practically to the development of supervision quality management in secondary education.

Abstract

Maintaining students learning focus in mathematics presents a critical pedagogical challenge in the digital era, particularly as screen time increases and attention spans decline. This study explores elementary school teachers' experiences in utilizing Smart Board as a strategic tool for managing students' learning focus in mathematics instruction. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews and non-participatory observations were conducted with upper-grade teachers (grades IV and V) at SDN 227 Margahayu Utara who had utilized Smart Board for a minimum of one semester. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model with triangulation and member checking for validity. Findings reveal that teachers develop six sophisticated pedagogical strategies: visual-interactive engagement, progressive participation, multimodal variability, content selectivity, rule-based interactivity, and technical anticipation. Teachers integrate dynamic visualization and real-time manipulation of mathematical objects to create anticipatory attention, with optimal session duration of 15-40 minutes to prevent attention fatigue. From an administrative perspective, successful implementation critically depends on comprehensive school support systems, including continuous professional development and responsive technical support. This study confirms that Smart Board effectiveness depends on teachers' pedagogical expertise rather than technological capabilities alone, requiring collaborative commitment between teachers and school administrators for systemic change

Abstract

Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler merupakan sarana strategis untuk mengembangkan potensi dan kreativitas peserta didik secara holistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi pengelolaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam pengembangan potensi dan kreativitas peserta didik di MA Pondok Qur’an. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah bidang kesiswaan, pembina ekstrakurikuler, dan peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara interaktif dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan, dan diuji keabsahannya melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler telah berjalan sistematis melalui fungsi manajemen: perencanaan berbasis pemetaan minat-kebutuhan siswa (angket, komunikasi informal, dan evaluasi program sebelumnya), pengorganisasian dengan pembagian peran pembina–pelatih–pengurus siswa, pengarahan melalui latihan praktik yang variatif dan pemberian ruang kepemimpinan serta inovasi siswa, koordinasi yang harmonis antara waka kesiswaan, pembina, dan pengurus, serta pengendalian melalui evaluasi harian, evaluasi akhir semester, dan rapat tahunan. Strategi tersebut berdampak positif pada peningkatan disiplin, kerja sama, percaya diri, potensi, dan kreativitas peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of school literacy culture and its impact on improving students' reading and writing skills in Indonesian learning at the junior high school level. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through learning observations, interviews with school principals, Indonesian teachers, and students, and document analysis. The results of the study show that the implementation of literacy programs that are managed in a planned and systematic manner, such as fifteen-minute reading activities, the development of literacy corners in various school locations, library optimization, and writing guidance, are able to improve students' reading and writing skills. Improvements can be seen in the ability to understand texts, find main ideas, analyze the structure and language of the text, and arrange writing sequentially and logically. The success of the literacy program is influenced by the strong leadership of the principal as a policy maker, motivator, supervisor, and initiator of cooperation, the pedagogical commitment of teachers, the availability of adequate facilities, and the active participation of parents and the school community. Supporting factors include the commitment of the principal and teachers, the support of parents and school committees, a conducive school environment, and adequate facilities. Inhibiting factors include challenges in the consistency of program implementation, limited book collections, differences in student motivation, limited time and budget, and competition with gadgets. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening school literacy culture as part of education management to improve the quality of Indonesian learning in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study analyzes teacher professional development management as an effort to enhance teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Cimanggung, Sumedang Regency. The focus of the study consists of four main aspects of POAC-based management: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. A qualitative approach using case study methods was used to gain an in-depth understanding. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that planning based on needs analysis, Education Reports, and competency gaps produces targeted programs. Organization involves effective task distribution, optimization of the roles of the vice principal, School Learning Community (Kombel) coordinator, and collaboration among teachers, although external partnerships can still be improved. Implementation includes training, workshops, clinical supervision, mentoring, and Learning Community activities that improve teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies. Evaluation is conducted through continuous monitoring, evaluation meetings, follow-up analysis, and supervision instruments. The implementation of this management runs in an integrated and continuous POAC cycle, resulting in improved teacher performance, learning quality, and a collaborative work culture. The findings confirm the strategic role of the principal as an education manager and provide a model that can be used as a reference for teacher professional development in other schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study analyzes the management of the Al-Idrak Journal as part of the Journal House strategy at STIT Al-Ihsan Baleendah to improve accreditation and enhance scientific publication activity. The main issue addressed in this research is the incomplete fulfillment of several national accreditation indicators, particularly those related to article history transparency, metadata completeness, digital identification, indexing quality, and the diversity of authors and reviewers. This study aims to map the current condition of journal management, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and formulate strategies for improving journal quality. Using a qualitative approach with a content analysis method, this research systematically examines OJS pages, editorial policies, publication consistency, reviewer profiles, indexing status, metadata completeness, and other digital documents. The findings show that although Al-Idrak has met several basic elements of journal management, such as ISSN registration, OJS implementation, and an editorial structure, several strategic components remain unfulfilled, including editorial process transparency, DOI implementation, Creative Commons licensing, standardized metadata, national indexing, and author diversification. These conditions indicate that the journal is still at a foundational management stage and requires substantial improvements to meet national accreditation standards. This study recommends strengthening digital documentation, enhancing editorial professionalism, expanding author networks, diversifying reviewers, and optimizing the role of the Journal House as a center for institutional publication development.
