The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the text short story writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang before and after using cooperative learning model Think Talk Write aided media beamed images. (2) analyze the effect of the use of cooperative learning model Think Talk Write aided media beamed images to text short story writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang. This research is a quantitative study with experimental method. The results of this research there are three: (1) The text of the short story writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang before using cooperative learning model Think Talk Write aided media beamed images that are in the qualification More than Enough (LDC). (2) The text of the short story writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang after using cooperative learning model Think Talk Write aided media beamed images that are in the qualification Good (B). (3) based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted on the confidence level and degrees of freedom (df) = n - 2 for thitung> ttable. Based on the findings, it was concluded that cooperative learning model Think Talk Write aided media beamed images can be used as an alternative in the teaching of writing short story text. Kata kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif tipe influence,  think talk write, media gambar berseri, menulis cerita pendek.

ABSTRACT The purposeof this research is(1) to describe the mastering of vocabularies about environment, (2) describe the skills writing the argument composition about environment, and (3) analyze the correlation mastering of vocabularies about environment with argument composition writing skill about environment class X SMA Negeri 1 Ulakan Tapakis. The data of this research is to mastering of vocabularies about environment test score results and scores of argument composition writing skills test results. The findings of this research is (1) the mastering of vocabularies about environment on the qualified enough with an- average of 58.7 (2) the skills to argument composition writing about environment are more than enough qualified with an average of 73,33, and (3) based on the self-t, H1is accepted becauset count > t table is 4,49 > 1,70. Kata kunci: korelasi, penguasaan kosakata, argumentasi, lingkungan hidup, keterampilan

ABSTRACT This article was to (1) describe the level of reading comprehension skills of the text exposition of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri Pembangunan Padang (2) to describe the skill level of writing the exposition text of the eight grade students of SMP Negri Pembangunan Padang; and (3) to describe the correlational of reading comprehension skills of the exposition text skill of writing text exposition of student of class VIII of SMP Negeri Pembangunan Padang Padang.Theories used in this research are skill, reading comprehension of exposition text, writing skill of exposition, correlation skill reading comprehension text exposition to skill of writing text exposition of student class VIII SMP Negeri Pembangunan  Padang. This research type is quantitative research by using descriptive method. An escriptive method with correlation approach. The population in this study is the students of class VIII of SMP Pembangunan Padang registered in the academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 168 students. The sample of this study amounted to 40 students. The sampling of this research was done by propotional random sampling technique. The data of this research is score of skill reading comprehension result in the form of objective test and score of skill writing skill in the form of performance test of class VIII student of  SMP Negeri Pembang

ABSTRACT This article was written to discuss the results of research on the skills to the text story moral/fable with writing skills the text story moral/fable the students class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman. The research was a score of the results of the skills to the text story moral/fable and a score of results of the writing skills the text of story moral/fable. The data obtained through two types of test, which isthe objective of a multiple choice as much as 40 bullets to measure the level of skills to the text story moral/fable and work performance for the skills writing the strory text moral/fable. This type of this study is quantitative. The method used is the method of descriptive with the design of merely correlational. The result of this research, there were three, that is (1) skills to te text story moral/fable the student class VIII in elementary school 5 Pariaman on qualifications (80,93), (2) the skill of writing the text story moral/fable the stuents class VIII in elementary school 5 Pariaman, located in the qualifying well (80,79), and (3) by the skills to the text story moral/fable to contribute with writing skills the text story moral/fable the students class VIII in elementary school 5 Pariaman as much as 54,61% in other words to te text story moral/fable it takes skill to text story moral/fable. Kata kunci : kontribusi, keterampilan menyimak, keterampilan menulis

The purpose of this study consists of three things. The first, to descripe the skills of rewriting biograpy text without using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang. The second, to describe the skills of rewriting biography text using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang. The third, to analyze the influence of using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang. Based on the research it is known that there are three following things. The first, the skils of rewriting biography text without using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang is in more than enough qualification (MtE) in average 70,31. The second, the skills of rewriting biography text using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior Hihg School 14 Padang is in good qualification (G) in average 78,30. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman before using discovery learning models. Secondly, describing fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman after using discovery learning models. Third, analyze the influence of the use of discovery learning models on fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. this type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this study was the design of one group pretest and posttest. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman which amounted to 184 people scattered in six classes. The data of this study is the score of the results of the fable text writing skills test before and after using the discovery learning model. the instrument of this research is the performance test. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, fable text writing skills before using the discovery learning model, class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman are in a sufficient qualification (C) with an average value of 58.18. Second, fable text writing skills after using the discovery learning model, class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman are in the qualification of More Than Enough (LdC) with an average value of 68.60. Third, based on the t-test at the level of 0.95 obtained tcount> t table (2.90> 1.70). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the discovery learning model can be used as a model problem in learning to write fable text. Kata kunci: Pengaruh, Discovery Learning, Teks fabel

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the environmental field vocabulary mastery of grade VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman. Second, it describes the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman. Third, vocabulary mastery skills contribution to analyze the field of the environment against the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman. This type of research quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design korelasional. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman, i.e. 70 students. The sample in this research are determined using total sampling total sample that is equal to the number of population that is 70 students. Research data is vocabulary mastery test scores field environment and score news writing skills text. Research instrument is the objective tests to measure mastery of the vocabulary of the field of environmental and performance tests for measuring writing skills text news. The results of the research there were three. First, mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman are on good qualification. Secondly, the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman are on good qualification. Third, vocabulary mastery of the field of the environment account for 58.98% against the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman.               Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, Penguasaan Kosakata Bidang Lingkungan Hidup, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Berita

                                                     ABSTRACTThis article was written to describe the relation of reading undestanding skill of anecdote texts to the skill of writing the text of the anecdote of students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method and correlational design. The sample in this study amounted to 40 people. The data of this research is score of skill test result reading understanding the anecdote text and skill test result writing the text of anecdote. The data were gotten through an objective test intended to measure the student’s reading understanding of anecdote text and a performance test intended to measure the students skills of writing the text of anecdote. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of writing the text of anecdote of the students class X of SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang is in good qualification (82,29). Second, the skill of reading understanding to the anecdote text of the students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang is in very good qualification (87,50). Third, there was a significant corelation between the students reading understanding of anecdote text with the skills of writing the anecdote text of strudent of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang in which the significance level 95% with the degrees of freedom n-1 (dk = n-1). Based on research result and data analysis, we get the conclusions, that is there are significant relations of reading understanding skills and writing skills about anecdote text of ten grade SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang because we get that tcount > ttable i.e 2,228>1,68.Kata kunci: korelasi, keterampilan memahami, keterampilan menulis, teks anekdot

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the listening skills of class VIII interview at SMP Negeri 23 Padang. Second, describing the news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. Third, describe the correlation of listening skills to interviews with news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was Class VIII of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 51 students. The research data were test scores on interview listening skills and news text writing skills test scores. The research instrument was an objective test to measure interview listening skills and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, the writing text skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang are in more than enough qualifications. Secondly, listening to interview skills is more than adequate. Third, listening skills interviewed were correlated at 7,41 with news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang.               Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Menyimak Wawancara, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Berita
