Abstract

The development and emergence of social media have pushed literacy and language activities in new directions. The increasing social media usage affects various language literacy activities by optimizing the existence of social media. This study aimed to determine the relationship between social media usage and the improvement of language literacy, especially in language learning, so there would be recommendations in the form of efforts to improve language literacy skills. This research would fill gaps in understanding how social media features and activities could effectively develop language literacy. Data collection used the literature study method from primary and secondary sources discussing literacy, language learning, and social media. The literature found was checked first, organized, and matched with the thematic framework to continue content analysis and description. Social media had many opportunities as a facilitator of language literacy development, and its presence would push other activities to perform better. It needed a proper method to make the result significant, notably for the incredible impact on language learning. So, apart from being a means of developing language learning, social media can also have the negative side of damaging the user's first language because other languages and cultures absorb it. Other factors such as family contribution, educational background and its influence on first and second language learning, sociological side, and all learning obstructions should be addressed when developing language skills. The study’s findings will provide recommendations for utilizing social media platforms to enhance reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The development of Tiktok learning media is in line with the current digital era. This gives rise to social media that can be a learning medium because social media attracts attention and is close to the millennial generation who are indeed attached to the digital world. One of the social media that is currently popular is the Tiktok application. Tiktok can be an interesting and fun learning medium. The use of the Tiktok application as a learning medium is expected to help students and educators in learning. Therefore, this study aims to show that Tiktok social media can be an alternative and interactive learning media in online learning. The method used is a literature study by analyzing fourteen articles relevant to the development of TikTok as a learning medium. The results of the study show that the use of Tiktok social media as a learning medium can increase the activeness and creativity of students in the online learning process. Students can freely express their creativity through Tiktok with various features, thus making Tiktok as an effective learning medium in creating interactive online learning. This research is influential in making Tiktok social media as an interactive learning media for educators and students in online learning

Abstract

Climate change is a concern for all countries in the world. UNESCO is taking part in efforts to increase awareness regarding climate change, one of which is by creating the Greening Education Partnership program. Climate Change Education (CCE) is an effort in the education sector to increase students' awareness of climate change. This article attempts to analyze publication trends regarding CCE and explore other opportunities for further research on the topic of CCE. The method used is the systematic literature review (SLR) method and data analysis using bibliometrics. The data used in this research are documents published by journals on the Scopus database published in 2013-2022. In 2013-2022, 462 documents can be searched in the Scopus database with the keyword ‘climate change education’. The analysis results show that discussions about CCE related to curriculum, learning, and students have been widely studied and published. However, there is no visible academic interaction between the authors. These conditions can be the basis that CCE needs to be implemented thoughtfully to increase awareness of environmental change. Apart from that, its implementation also requires collaborative roles from each sector so that CCE implementation can be carried out optimally. There needs to be a policy to encourage implementation by integrating CCE and the curriculum. Schools and universities encourage teachers and lecturers to deliver CCE in learning by including specific topics that can be related.

Abstract

School libraries need to carry out their operational activities following applicable standards, one of which is the Kepala Perpustakaan Nasional RI No. 12 Tahun 2017 tentang Standar Nasional Perpustakaan (SNP) Sekolah Menengah Atas/Madrasah Aliyah (SMA/MA). That regulation concerning National Library Standards for Senior High Schools/Islamic Senior High Schools (SMA/MA). This study aims to determine whether the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library has implemented the service standards in accordance with the National Library Standard. This study is qualitative, using observation and interview techniques, and data analysis is carried out descriptively. The results obtained are that the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library has implemented SNP SMA/MA from the service aspect, namely types of services, compulsory reading programs, library education programs, information literacy programs, library promotions, reports, cooperation, and several programs have been integrated with the curriculum. Unfortunately, in terms of service hours, the SMAN 2 Cimahi library has not met the service hours in accordance with the SNP, which is 8 hours per working day. From these results, the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library can consider opening service activities for more than 8 hours per working day in order to optimize library services to all SMAN 2 Cimahi library users.   Abstrak Perpustakaan sekolah perlu menjalankan kegiatan operasionalnya sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku, salah satunya Peraturan Kepala Perpustakaan Nasional RI No. 12 Tahun 2017 tentang Standar Nasional Perpustakaan (SNP) Sekolah Menengah Atas/Madrasah Aliyah (SMA/MA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi telah mengimplementasikan standar layanan dalam SNP SMA/MA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara,  analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil yang didapat adalah Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi telah mengimplementasikan SNP SMA/MA dari aspek pelayanan, yaitu jenis pelayanan, program wajib baca, program pendidikan pemustaka, program literasi informasi, promosi perpustakaan, laporan, kerja sama, serta beberapa program telah terintegrasi dengan kurikulum. Sayangnya, dari segi jam pelayanan, perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi belum memenuhi jam layanan yang sesuai dengan SNP, yaitu 8 jam per hari kerja. Dari hasil tersebut, Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi dapat mempertimbangkan untuk membuka kegiatan pelayanan lebih dari 8 jam per hari kerja guna mengoptimalkan layanan perpustakaan kepada seluruh pemustaka perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi. Abstract

Curriculum transformation represents a strategic initiative the government took to improve the quality of learning, adjusting to the needs of an ever-evolving era. The Kurikulum Merdeka, present as an educational innovation, is designed to provide schools with freedom to achieve relevant learning objectives. This study aims to analyze the management of Kurikulum Merdeka at SMK Kencana, especially in the Accounting department, to support a quality learning system. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques with school management to explore experiences, challenges encountered and strategies employed during curriculum implementation. The results showed that curriculum management at SMK Kencana has improved significantly, both from the perspective of teachers and school management. SMK Kencana successfully implemented Kurikulum Merdeka in the AKL department through subject integration, experiential projects, and collaboration with industry. This curriculum enhances teacher innovation, learning, and the relevance of materials to work needs. Despite adaptation challenges, this implementation effectively supports students' readiness for the world of work. This study concludes that the synergy between teachers and school management is the key to optimizing the management of Kurikulum Merdeka. These findings provide practical recommendations for further development in curriculum implementation in a Vocational High School environment, especially the Accounting Department.   Abstrak Perubahan kurikulum merupakan langkah strategis yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran, menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan zaman yang terus berkembang. Kurikulum Merdeka, hadir sebagai inovasi pendidikan, dirancang untuk memberikan kebebasan kepada sekolah dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan Kurikulum Merdeka di SMK Kencana, khususnya pada jurusan Akuntansi, guna mendukung sistem pembelajaran berkualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam kepada manajemen sekolah untuk menggali pengalaman, tantangan, serta strategi yang diterapkan selama implementasi kurikulum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan kurikulum di SMK Kencana telah mengalami peningkatan signifikan, baik dari perspektif pendidik maupun manajemen sekolah. SMK Kencana berhasil menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka di jurusan AKL melalui integrasi mata pelajaran, proyek berbasis pengalaman, dan kolaborasi dengan dunia industri. Kurikulum ini meningkatkan inovasi pendidik, pembelajaran, dan relevansi materi dengan kebutuhan kerja. Meskipun ada tantangan adaptasi, penerapan ini efektif mendukung kesiapan peserta didik menghadapi dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sinergi antara pendidik dan manajemen sekolah menjadi kunci utama dalam mengoptimalkan pengelolaan Kurikulum Merdeka. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi praktis untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam penerapan kurikulum di lingkungan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan, khususnya Jurusan Akuntansi. Abstract

Metaverse in education is one of the innovations in learning media based on three-dimensional virtual space technology whose implementation is currently being widely used. This article aims to determine the development and use of metaverses in education by reviewing the literature on using metaverses in learning. This research uses a systematic literature review method, namely reviewing literature in the form of relevant books and articles. Data collection was summarized from international journal articles, accredited and non-accredited national journals, proceedings, theses, and theses. From the results of the literature study, it is known that the metaverse in the world of education began to be effectively used during the Covid-19 pandemic, where the metaverse was able to overcome the limitations of distance and time to enter class and the acceleration of metaverse technology in the world of education has been seen with the existence of digital-based learning media applications: Augmented reality and virtual reality. With the virtual world concept, online learning can be done more interactively and innovatively. This flexible learning is an interesting and innovative learning method concept.   Abstrak Metaverse dalam dunia pendidikan merupakan salah satu inovasi media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi ruang virtual tiga dimensi yang saat ini implementasinya mulai banyak digunakan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan dan penggunaan metaverse dalam dunia pendidikan dengan meninjau literatur yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan metaverse dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic literature review, yaitu meninjau literatur, berupa buku dan artikel yang relevan. Pengumpulan data dirangkum dari artikel jurnal internasional, jurnal nasional terakreditasi dan non akreditasi, prosiding, tesis dan skripsi. Dari hasil literature review, diketahui bahwa metaverse dalam dunia pendidikan mulai efektif digunakan pada saat terjadinya pandemik COVID-19, dimana metaverse mampu untuk mengatasi keterbatasan jarak dan waktu untuk masuk kelas dan akselerasi teknologi metaverse di dunia pendidikan sudah terlihat dengan adanya aplikasi media pembelajaran digital berbasis augmented reality dan virtual reality. Dengan konsep dunia virtual, pembelajaran secara online dapat dilakukan dengan lebih interaktif dan inovatif, seperti terbentuknya ruang kelas meskipun tidak bertemu secara langsung, praktikum secara virtual, dan lain-lain. Pembelajaran yang bersifat fleksibel ini menjadi konsep metode pembelajaran menarik dan inovatif Kata Kunci: metaverse; perkembangan metaverse; pendidikan

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance and capacity of human resources and their impact on the quality of services provided at the library of SMKN 2 Bandung by employing the Balanced Scorecard model. A descriptive qualitative method was adopted, utilizing the Balanced Scorecard approach, which includes four perspectives: financial, customer satisfaction, internal processes, and learning and growth. Data were collected through interviews with three groups of informants: the principal, librarians (including the head and staff), and library users (comprising teachers and students). The findings were triangulated through direct observation and document analysis. The results indicate that the library is staffed by only two librarians, both of whom lack relevant educational backgrounds, leading to excessive workloads and inefficiencies in core services, particularly cataloging, circulation, and reference. Despite limited funding, the school consistently provides training programs to enhance librarians’ competencies. From the customer perspective, most users report receiving adequate assistance, although the services are not yet optimal. The study concludes that inadequacies in human resources have a direct and significant impact on the quality of library services in vocational high schools. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja dan kapasitas sumber daya manusia serta pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas layanan yang diberikan di Perpustakaan SMKN 2 Bandung dengan menggunakan pendekatan model Balanced Scoredcard. Metodologi yang diterapkan adalah kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan Balanced Scorecard, yang mencakup empat sudut pandang: aspek finansial, kepuasan pelanggan, proses internal, serta aspek pembelajaran dan perkembangan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan tiga kelompok informan, yaitu kepala sekolah, pustakawan yang mencakup kepala dan staf, serta pemustaka yang terdiri atas guru dan siswa. Hasil data diperkuat dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan hanya memiliki dua staf pustakawan yang berasal dari latar belakang yang tidak sesuai, yang berakibat pada beban kerja yang berlebihan dan ketidakefisienan dalam layanan, terutama dalam proses katalogisasi, sirkulasi, dan referensi. Meskipun anggaran terbatas, pihak sekolah tetap menyelenggarakan pelatihan rutin untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pustakawan. Dari perspektif pelanggan, sebagian besar pengguna merasa cukup mendapatkan bantuan meskipun layanan yang tersedia belum maksimal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ketidakidealan dalam sumber daya manusia berpengaruh langsung terhadap kualitas layanan perpustakaan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas program “Pustakawan Terpelajar” di MAN 1 Bandung menggunakan Model Evaluasi Ekspresi Wajah Stake. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi siswa dan kemampuan manajemen perpustakaan dengan melibatkan mereka dalam pengorganisasian sumber daya perpustakaan dan memimpin kegiatan literasi. Proses evaluasi dibagi menjadi tiga fase: antecedents (persiapan), transactions (pelaksanaan), dan outcomes (hasil). Pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dengan pemangku kepentingan utama, dan tinjauan dokumen, dengan fokus pada partisipan siswa yang aktif. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa program ini secara signifikan meningkatkan literasi, kepemimpinan, dan keterampilan organisasi siswa. Partisipasi aktif dalam sesi literasi mingguan dan tur perpustakaan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan dan aktivitas membaca. Namun, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan infrastruktur, yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan program. Kesimpulannya, program ini berhasil mencapai tujuannya, dengan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan alokasi sumber daya, meningkatkan keterlibatan guru, dan memperbaiki infrastruktur perpustakaan guna memastikan keberhasilan dan perluasan program di masa depan.

Abstract

Background of the study: Awareness of the importance of psychological well-being and personal growth progressively leads to the use of bibliotherapy in education, libraries, and psychology in all age groups. However, the lack of understanding of how to select and determine the right reading materials for each different age group in the context of bibliotherapy remains a challenge that needs to be addressed. Purpose: This study aims to explore the method of analyzing the content of certain books or literature in personal growth and motivation through didactic bibliotherapy. Methods:  A systematic literature review (SLR) of various studies was conducted using the PRISMA framework. The review includes the selection and evaluation of bibliotherapy reading materials based on their didactic values and techniques, including character reflection, moral conflict resolution, and narrative structure. Findings: This review clarifies that didactic content analysis is essential for improving the educational and therapeutic impact of bibliotherapy. It identifies key didactic principles such as relevance to personal experiences, emotional engagement through relatable characters, and reflective narrative techniques. Conclusion: When combined with strong didactic principles, structured reflective approaches, and problem-solving techniques, bibliotherapy can make a significant contribution to psychological therapy and educational contexts by promoting self-reflection, problem-solving skills, and emotional management.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to find out what information is needed by the teacher in supporting teaching and learning activities, to find out the use of Internet-based information sources, and to find out the obstacles that arise in searching information what is done to overcome obstacles in conducting information searches. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. The Informant in this study were teachers of SD Laboratorium School, Indonesia University of Education. The results of the study found that the information needs of teachers were four aspects. Aspects of learning planning, information needs include RPP planning, teacher learning objectives, competencies, indicators, and material scope. Content or material aspects or learning experiences of information needs include student characteristics, forms of learning activities, learning strategies, and learning outcome evaluation tools. The aspects of choosing learning strategies and methods of information needs include learning objectives, students' initial knowledge, student characteristics, time allocation, supporting facilities, and the surrounding situation. The aspect of media selection, information needs include learning objectives, material scope, student characteristics, supporting features and technological development. Obstacles in information retrieval include time, ICT skills, weak and lazy search techniques.
