Abstract

This article aims to examine the strategic role of school libraries in supporting the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka at the Junior High School (Sekolah Menengah Pertama or SMP) level. This research was conducted through direct interviews with library managers and observations of the available supporting facilities and resources. The primary focus of this study is on how the library provides effective and relevant teaching materials, coordinates with teachers to support teaching and learning activities, and carries out various innovations to adapt to the demands of the more flexible and student-centered Merdeka Curriculum. The library functions not only as a reading space but also as a learning resource center that supports the development of students’ literacy and independent learning. The findings of this research are expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the school library’s contribution to creating a learning environment that is adaptive and responsive to curriculum changes. Thus, this article also serves as a reference for schools and policymakers in enhancing the function and role of libraries in an increasingly complex educational landscape.   Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran strategis perpustakaan sekolah dalam mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui wawancara langsung dengan pengelola perpustakaan serta observasi terhadap perangkat dan fasilitas pendukung yang tersedia. Fokus utama dari kajian ini adalah bagaimana perpustakaan menyediakan bahan ajar yang efektif, relevan, dan menjalin koordinasi dengan guru dalam menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar, serta melakukan berbagai inovasi untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka yang lebih fleksibel dan berpusat pada peserta didik. Perpustakaan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat membaca, tetapi juga sebagai pusat sumber belajar yang mendukung pengembangan literasi dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai kontribusi perpustakaan sekolah dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang adaptif dan responsif terhadap perubahan kurikulum. Dengan demikian, artikel ini juga menjadi rujukan bagi pihak sekolah dan pemangku kebijakan dalam meningkatkan fungsi dan peran perpustakaan di era pendidikan yang terus berkembang. Abstract

Digulirkannya kebijakan pendekatan Pembelajaran Mendalam (PM) untuk implementasi kurikulum nasional, menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi guru-guru di lapangan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan mitra berupa keterbatasan pemahaman guru sekolah dasar dalam mengimplementasikan konsep dan strategi Pembelajaran Mendalam (PM). Mitra kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Parongpong yang berjumlah 50 guru. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan berupa intervensi terstruktur selama dua hari, meliputi: (i) pra-pelatihan dengan distribusi buku panduan PM yang memuat enam topik inti, (ii) pelatihan melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi, serta workshop praktik penyusunan desain pembelajaran, dan (iii) pascapelatihan berupa penguatan serta evaluasi tindak lanjut. Metode kegiatan mencakup asesmen awal dan akhir, praktik terbimbing, serta pendampingan langsung. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru dengan nilai normalized gain (N-gain) pada enam aspek PM berada pada kategori sedang (0,43–0,56); aspek prinsip PM memperoleh capaian tertinggi (0,56), sementara aspek pengembangan desain pembelajaran masih terendah (0,43) sehingga membutuhkan penguatan lanjutan. Evaluasi reaksi peserta juga memperlihatkan persepsi yang sangat positif (rata-rata ≥ 4,51/5) terhadap relevansi, kejelasan, manfaat praktis, kolaborasi, dan sikap reflektif. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam merancang dan menerapkan Pembelajaran Mendalam, meskipun pendampingan berkelanjutan tetap diperlukan agar implementasi di kelas lebih optimal.

Abstract

Perkembangan pembelajaran pada era saat ini sangat membutuh teknologi, terutama teknologi digital. Salah satu penerapan dari produk teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran adalah dengan memanfaatkan game edukasi sebagai media pembelajaran. Game edukasi yaitu salah satu bentuk game yang ditujukan sebagai media pembelajaran, sarana latihan, sarana dalam menambah pengetahuan, dan juga media untuk melatih sikap dan perilaku pemain. Rendahnya motivasi mahasiswa untuk belajar, menjadi alasan dikembangkannya game edukasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh game edukasi dapat meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa untuk belajar. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hal ini dikarenakan permasalahan pada penelitian kali ini bersifat dominan terjadi di lapangan. Hasil percobaan menunjukan 65,8% menjawab setuju, 21,1% menjawab sangat setuju bahwa gamifikasi pembelajaran dapat memberikan efek positif terhadap hasil belajar responden, sedangkan 2,6 % menjawab sangat tidak setuju, 10,5% menjawab netral. kesimpulannya, mayoritas responden setuju bahwa gamifikasi pembelajaran memiliki pengaruh positif dalam capaian hasil belajar.

Abstract

AbstractSocial media is one of the places to be able to access information, it is so popularly used by the people of Indonesia. In addition to being able to access existing information, users can also share any information the findings from Ipos state that Indonesia is ranked 2nd in the behavior of sharing anything on social media, unfortunately many of them do not understand the dangers of excessive sharing of privacy on social media which is known as oversharing. The role of an institution is needed to be able to educate about privacy to the public. Institutions that have this potential are libraries. This is the background of this study to further analyze the potential of libraries on the phenomenon of oversharing in society. The method used is library research or literature study, namely bibliographic research and scientific systematics which include collecting bibliographic materials including books or other readings related to the research objectives. The results of the study show that the library as an information provider with high credibility has the potential to be the front line to the protector for users related to privacy on social media. Libraries can raise awareness little by little about the importance of protecting personal information on social media. Thus, users can know and understand the consequences and potential of various publicly available information. For this reason, further user education that can be held by the library regarding privacy literacy is needed to be able to explain and explain the existing understanding of privacy literacy.AbstrakMedia sosial menjadi salah satu tempat untuk dapat mengakses informasi, begitu populer digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Selain dapat mengakses informasi yang ada pengguna juga dapat membagikan informasi apa saja. Temuan dari Ipos menyebutkan Indonesia berada pada peringkat 2 pada perilaku membagikan apa saja di media sosial, sayangnya banyak dari mereka tidak memahami bahayanya jika berlebihan membagikan privasi di media sosial yang dikenal dengan oversharing. Dibutuhkannya peran suatu lembaga untuk dapat mengedukasi perihal privasi ke masyarakat. Lembaga yang memiliki potensi tersebut adalah perpustakaan. Hal tersebut yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini untuk menganalisis lebih lanjut mengenai potensi perpustakaan pada fenomena oversharing di masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan metode penelitian kajian pustaka atau studi kepustakaan, yaitu cara penelitian bibliografi serta sistematis ilmiah yang meliputi, mengumpulkan bahan bahan bibliografi diantaranya adalah buku ataupun bacaan lainnya yang berkaitan dengan sasaran penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan sebagai penyedia informasi dengan kredibilitas yang tinggi memiliki potensi menjadi garda terdepan sampai dengan pelindung bagi pemustaka terkait dengan privasi di media sosial. Perpustakaan dapat menyadarkan sedikit demi sedikit mengenai pentingnya melindungi informasi pribadi di media social. Dengan demikian, pemustaka dapat mengetahui dan memahami konsekuensi dan potensi dari berbagai informasi yang ada secara publik. Untuk itu, diperlukanedukasi pemustaka lebih lanjut yang dapat diselenggarakan oleh perpustakaan mengenai literasi privasi untuk dapat menjelaskan dan memaparkan mengenai pemahaman literasi privasi yang ada.

Abstract

The development of technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), has great potential to improve the quality of education, including non-formal education in Indonesia. AI-based digital competency training for non-formal education tutors is essential to keeping education relevant to the demands of the digital era, and the blended learning model is considered effective for achieving this goal. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of a blended learning model in improving knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) in digital competency training for non-formal education tutors in Sukabumi District. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental methods and a pre-experiment design in the form of a one-shot case study, involving 23 trainees. The results showed that the blended learning model was effective in improving the AI knowledge of non-formal education tutors, with a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. In addition to improving tutors' digital competencies, blended learning also offers flexibility and personalization in the learning process, which suits the needs and learning styles of adult participants. This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of non-formal education in Indonesia as well as a reference in designing training programs that are more effective and relevant to the demands of the digital era. Blended learning, which combines online and face-to-face learning, is an effective model for improving AI knowledge and digital skills for non-formal education tutors while preparing them for future technological challenges.

Abstract

The school library plays a role in fulfilling information needs and improving the quality of teachers and students to achieve school goals. One of the high schools in Bandung City that has to carry out this role is Pasundan 8 High School. The school library concerned still needs to meet the standards, one of which is the standard collection aspect. Collection development can be done so that the collections owned by the library are diverse. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were obtained from one source: library staff, three teachers, and seven students. The results show that the types of collections that can be developed are collections of fiction, non-fiction, and references. The library manager can do collection floating by submitting a request to the school or cooperating with other information institutions. In addition, library managers can also participate in various trainings so that they can develop collections in a digital direction. This is done so that groups in the library are more diverse and of higher quality for the entire school community.

Abstract

Background of the study: User satisfaction is crucial for evaluating website design, especially for cultural and educational institutions such as museums. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to measure how the five dimensions of content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness affect user satisfaction. Method: A quantitative approach was used, employing the EUCS model and the DeLone and McLean Framework, through a survey of 224 students from the Faculty of Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Findings: The findings of this study indicate that content, accuracy, and format are the most significant factors influencing user satisfaction, explaining nearly 93% of the variation in satisfaction. However, ease of use and timeliness show weaker effects. Conclusion: This study suggests that museum websites should prioritize content quality and accuracy while maintaining a user-friendly design. Additionally, further research with a larger, more diverse sample and longitudinal studies is recommended to examine changes in satisfaction over time.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the MA Al-Amanah Islamic School Library service using the Goal Oriented Evaluation Model (GOEM) approach developed by Ralph W. Tyler. This model was chosen because it emphasizes the achievement of goals as the main indicator of the success of a program. The study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method through observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers, librarians, and vice principals, and the distribution of open questionnaires to 30 students as respondents. The evaluation results show that the library has contributed significantly to the achievement of learning goals, especially in terms of improving student literacy, character building, and strengthening learning independence. Through the seven stages of the GOEM evaluation, an increase in learning motivation, discipline, and active involvement of students in utilizing library facilities was identified. Although there are still limitations in the support of psychomotor facilities and formal evaluation instruments, the library has functioned as an effective and adaptive learning space for students' information needs. This evaluation also shows the importance of developing digital services and improving librarian competence in assisting the learning process. Thus, the application of a goal-based evaluation model such as GOEM is not only relevant for assessing the effectiveness of services, but is also useful as a reflective tool in strategic planning for the development of school libraries in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of the SMKN 2 Bandung library using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework. The research method employed is a case study with a qualitative, descriptive design. Data were collected through the BSC instrument, observation, and in-depth interviews. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, which included the principal, librarian, and students. Data analysis was conducted using thematic and descriptive analysis methods. The study's results indicate several significant challenges across the four BSC dimensions. The financial sector shows that library funding accounts for less than 5% of the school budget, which is primarily focused on textbooks, neglecting facilities, staff training, and digital infrastructure. The customer dimension recorded 41.94% of students complained about a lack of non-academic books (motivational, history) and an inconvenient location, although 54.84% were satisfied. Internal processes were hindered by the SLIMS digital system (one computer for 2,000 students), which hampers e-book access, as well as inefficient asset management. The learning and growth section revealed that one librarian was managing 2,000 students (far from the ideal ratio of 1:500) and lacked technical training. This study concludes that the library performance of SMKN 2 Bandung is suboptimal. This performance is hampered by critical challenges across all four dimensions of the BSC, negatively impacting its support for vocational education. The study recommends strategic improvements, including reallocating funds for digital facilities and infrastructure, diversifying collections to reflect student interests, and enhancing human resource capacity through recruitment and technical training.

Abstract

The digital era demands that school libraries adapt to support effective learning processes, necessitating that the SMAN 3 Garut library optimize its role as a learning resource center aligned with modern educational needs. This research aims to analyze library strategies that support teaching and learning at SMAN 3 Garut and to identify the challenges faced and the development efforts undertaken. The study employs a qualitative approach, using interviews and direct observation to collect data on library services, collections, and strategies. The research findings indicate that the library maintains collections of printed materials, including textbooks, reference works, and general-interest titles, and operates a membership-based borrowing system, with management conducted manually and semi-digitally. The library actively provides alternative study spaces and collaborates closely with teachers in designing literacy activities. Main challenges include low student interest in reading and limited resources; however, strategies such as establishing reading ambassadors and cross-role collaboration have been implemented to address these issues. In conclusion, SMAN 3 Garut library plays a strategic role in supporting learning through various service innovations. However, further development of digital facilities is needed to ensure that the learning resource center remains adaptable and relevant to contemporary developments.   Abstrak Era digitalisasi menuntut perpustakaan sekolah untuk beradaptasi dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran yang efektif, sehingga perpustakaan SMAN 3 Garut perlu mengoptimalkan perannya sebagai pusat sumber belajar yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pendidikan modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi perpustakaan dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar di SMAN 3 Garut serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan upaya pengembangan yang dilakukan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi langsung untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai layanan, koleksi, dan strategi perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan menyediakan koleksi bahan pustaka berupa buku cetak yang mencakup buku pelajaran, referensi, dan literasi umum dengan sistem peminjaman berbasis keanggotaan. Pengelolaan dilakukan secara manual dan semi-digital. Perpustakaan berperan aktif menyediakan ruang belajar alternatif dan menjalin kerja sama dengan guru dalam merancang kegiatan literasi. Tantangan utama meliputi rendahnya minat baca murid dan keterbatasan sumber daya, namun telah dilakukan strategi pembentukan duta baca dan kolaborasi lintas peran untuk mengatasinya. Kesimpulannya, perpustakaan SMAN 3 Garut berperan strategis dalam mendukung pembelajaran melalui berbagai inovasi layanan, meskipun masih perlu pengembangan fasilitas digital untuk menjadi pusat sumber belajar yang adaptif dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman.
