Abstract

Promosi kesehatan di sekolah merupakan suatu upaya untuk menciptakan sekolah menjadi suatu komunitas yang mampu meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat sekolah melalui 3 kegiatan utama yang dikenal dengan istilah TRIAS UKS yaitu menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang sehat, pemeliharaan dan pelayanan di sekolah serta upaya pendidikan yang berkesinambungan. Ketiga hal ini dijabarkan dalam suatu kegiatan yang disebut perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) tatanan sekolah. Observasi di lapangan ditemukan banyak masalah berhubungan dengan kesehatan siswa. Prioritas masalah dan solusi yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan PKM ini yaitu banyak siswa yang mengalami sakit karena rendahnya pengetahuan tentang PHBS di sekolah khususnya dalam perilaku mencuci tangan dengan sabun. Berdasarkan hasil diskusi ditetapkan bahwa dalam kegiatan PKM saat ini akan melakukan kegiatan promosi dan pemeriksaan kesehatan. Target luaran yaitu meningkatnya tingkat pengetahuan siswa tentang PHBS dan adanya perubahan perilaku cuci tangan menggunakan sabun. Peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan ini dapat diukur melalui kuesioner pengetahuan yang akan disusun oleh pelaksana kegiatan. Kegiatan promosi kesehatan ini dilakukan pada 8 Juni 2023 yang diorganisir oleh 2 orang dosen dan 3 orang mahasiswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan para siswa telah memiliki pengetahuan tentang PHBS di sekolah setelah dilakukan promosi kesehatan.

Abstract

Peserta didik sekolah merupakan individu yang terorganisir dalam kurun waktu tertentu dan selama itu kualitasnya terus ditingkatkan guna mencapai suatu tujuan yaitu peningkatan kualitas kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Tujuannya yaitu untuk meningkatnya pengetahuan dan sikap kader tentang kesehatan gigi dan meningkatkan ketrampilan kader dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit karies gigi dengan tehnik ART. Hasil observasi diperoleh masalah pada mitra Masih tinggi angka kesakitan gigi pada anak SD yang artinya dalam setiap anak sudah terjadi gigi berlubang 1 sampai 5 gigi bermasalah karies dini (lobang gigi). Pelaksana kegiatan yaitu Jeanne d’Arc Zavera Adam, S.Pd, M.Kes dan tim. Selain itu, kegiatan ini melibatkan mahasiswa tingkat III jurusan kesehatan gigi Poltekes Kemenkess Manado, para perawat gigi Puskesmas Tateli, kader UKGS dan para guru. Peserta didik SD Inpres Muntong diberikan edukasi agar dapat menurunkan angka karies lebih parah lagi (DMF-T) dan menurunkan angka kesakitan akibat karies sehingga tidak mengganggu proses belajar siswa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Agustus 2024 berlokasi di SD Inpres Muntong Kabupaten Minahasa. Hasil kegiatan dilakukan tindakan Penambalan ART pada para peserta didik SD Inpres Muntong yang berjumlah 127 orang. Jumlah gigi yang dilakukan fissure sielant sebanyak 212 gigi, jumlahnya lebih banyak dari peserta karena setiap anak rata 2 gigi yang ditambal. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini yaitu pelaksanaan tindakan pencegahan karies lanjut yang dilakukan di SD Negeri Inpres Muntong telah berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan kader dan orang tua dalam melakukan pencegahan dan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut di TK Kartika XXI-5 Tateli II Kecamatan Mandolang Kabupaten Minahasa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan tanggal 26-27 September 2024 yang diikuti 39 peserta, terdiri dari 2 kader UKGS dan 37 orang tua siswa. Metode pengabdian berupa pelatihan menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan praktek menyikat gigi. Target capaian pengabdian masyarakat yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua tentang cara pencegahan serta pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut meliputi (cara menyikat gigi, deteksi dini karies gigi) yang ditargetkan 80%, meningkatkan Kesadaran Orang Tua untuk memeriksakan gigi anak secara berkala minimal setiap 6 bulan sekali di targetkan 70%. Tindak lanjut dari Pengabdian masyarakat yang sudah dilakukan dengan indeks rata-rata def-t = < 3. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan menilai pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peserta sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan. Hasil evaluasi melalui posttest menunjukan bahwa 94.9% peserta memiliki pengetahuan yang baik dan 92.3 % peserta memiliki ketrampilan yang baik.

Abstract

Backgroud: Mapalus is one of the socio-cultural values in the Minahasa community. Other existing socio-cultural values such as Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou and Torang Samua Basudara. Mapalus is an embodiment of philosophy Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou. The purpose of this research was to describing the implementation of Mapalus in public health. Method: This research was a qualitative research. Model of this research was a case study. Result: The result of this research was showed that the implementation of Mapalus has been change from traditional models (mutual cooperation and assistance) to modern models. Conclusion: Mapalus has grown from the agricultural sector to the other sectors like social, economic, government, and health.

Abstract

Background: Job stress is a very disruptive thing to work. Work-induced stress in particular results in a decrease in work productivity, such as low worker performance, increased absenteeism, decreased work morale, increased worker turnover which can cause the loss of a lot of working time causing the cost of compensation for workers to increase in capital. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with work stress on the employees of the Eye Hospital of North Sulawesi Province. Methode: This study was an observational study with a cross sectional study design. The population in this study were all employees of the Eye Hospital of North Sulawesi Province. The sample in this study was a total population of 70 employees. The variables in this study were age, marital status, income, years of service and work load, with the dependent variable being work stress. The research data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis and chi-square statistical calculations. Presentation of data is made in table and narrative form. Result: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between age and work stress with p value = 0.031, there was a significant relationship between tenure and work stress with a value of p = 0.004, there was a significant relationship between workload and work stress with p = 0.003, there is no significant relationship between marital status and work stress with a value of p = 0.077 and there is no significant relationship between income and work stress with a value of p = 0.473. The result of multivariate analysis showed that workload (p = 0.002; OR = 21.667) was the most dominant factor affecting work stress on the employees of the Eye Hospital of North Sulawesi Province. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that age, years of service and workload are factors that are associated with work stress. The most dominant factor affecting employee work stress is workload.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional status is also a person's physical condition which is determined by one or a combination of nutritional measures such as body mass index. Nutritional status is indirectly influenced by the frequency of aerobic/ anaerobic exercise and the level of education. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between education level and frequency of aerobic exercise with nutritional status of members of the Sports Health Center of Health Office North Sulawesi Province. Methode: This is a correlational research with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in June-July 2020 at the Community Sports Health Center of Health Office North Sulawesi Province. This study used 30 respondents. The variables of this study were nutritional status, level of education and frequency of aerobic exercise. This study uses secondary data from existing member at the Community Sports Health Center. Data were tested using Fisher's Exact test. Result: The results showed that 27 respondents had a BMI <18.5-22.9, 24 respondents had S1/ D3 degree and 15 respondents were aerobic exercise frequency as much as 37-50 times. The results of this study indicated that there was no correlation between education level with nutritional status (p = 0.501) and there was no correlation between the frequency of aerobic exercise with nutritional status (p = 1,000). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the level of education and the frequency of aerobic exercise are not correlation with the nutritional status of the members of the Sports Health Center.

Abstract

Background: The vision and mission of the hospital must be achieved by every hospital. This requires planning as outlined in a document called a strategic plan. There are many approaches to strategy formulation, one of which is the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). BSC is an approach that is widely used today, including in hospitals. The purpose of this research was to formulate a strategic plan for Cantia Tompasobaru Hospital using the Balanced Scorecard method. Methode: This is a qualitative research with a case study design. This research was conducted in April-July 2022 at Cantia Tompasobaru Hospital. The number of informants, namely 10 informants consisting of key informants, namely level 2 of the hospital, consisted of 3 deputy directors, while the other informants, namely level 3 of the hospital, were the heads of each room and installation, totaling 7 people. The variables studied are the BSC perspective, namely the perspective of finance, customers, internal business processes, as well as learning and innovation. Data were obtained through interviews, focus group discussions, document review and field observations. The data obtained were analyzed by content analysis method. Result: The results showed that the customer perspective BSC strategy, there are 2 strategic goals, namely retaining old customers and attracting new customers. The strategic goals to retain existing customers have 4 strategies, namely meeting medical service expectations, meeting tariff and service quality expectations, meeting consumer service expectations and providing incentives or bonuses. The target strategy to attract new customers consists of 4 strategies, namely adding service products, providing price certainty, building relationships with doctors and increasing brand awareness. The internal business perspective BSC strategy has 2 strategic objectives, namely increasing key capabilities and improving business processes. The target strategy to increase the main capabilities has 3 strategies, namely improving clinical results, increasing value propositions, and improving customer service. The target strategy for improving business processes consists of 4 strategies, namely improving organizational structure, improving management systems, optimizing and improving processes and reducing loss/waste costs. The BSC strategy from a growth and development perspective has 2 strategic goals, namely increasing employee professionalism and improving the work environment. The target strategy for increasing employee professionalism has 2 strategies, namely increasing work direction and increasing knowledge and skills. The target strategy to improve the work environment consists of 2 strategies, namely maximizing the placement of staff/number of human resources and increasing work morale. The BSC hospital strategy from a financial perspective has 3 strategic objectives, namely increasing profit, increasing revenue and reducing costs. The target of the strategy to increase profits aims to enable hospitals to increase profits in order to support hospital development. The target strategy to increase revenue aims to increase the number of customers. The target strategy is to reduce costs with 4 strategies, namely increasing efficiency, main capabilities, business processes and productivity Conclusion: It can be concluded that the customer perspective BSC strategy, there are 2 strategic goals, namely retaining old customers and attracting new customers. The internal business perspective BSC strategy has 2 strategic objectives, namely increasing key capabilities and improving business processes. The BSC strategy from a growth and development perspective has 2 strategic goals, namely increasing employee professionalism and improving the work environment. The BSC hospital strategy from a financial perspective has 3 strategic objectives, namely increasing profit, increasing revenue and reducing costs.

Abstract

Diarrhea in underfive children is a disease with a fairly short pathogenesis, but can be fatal if not given good management, especially in pediatric patients. The purpose of this study is to describe the incidence of diarrhea underfive children in North Minahasa in 2021-2023. This is a quantitative research will be carried out in North Minahasa Regency in April-May 2023. The variables studied are the incidence of toddler diarrhea in North Minahasa based on time and place in 2021-2023. This study used secondary data from the North Minahasa District Health Office. The data obtained are then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the prevalence of underfive children diarrhea in 2021 was 473 cases, of which the most cases were found at the Kauditan Health Center, which was 80 cases and the most occurred in May as many as 231 cases. The prevalence of diarrhea underfive children in 2022 is 474 cases, of which the most cases are found at the Kauditan Health Center, which is 60 cases and the most occur in January, August and November, each with 60 cases. The prevalence of diarrhea underfive children in 2023 (January-February) is 86 cases, of which the most cases are found at the Kolongan Health Center, which is 28 cases, in January 2023 as many as 51 cases. It can be concluded that the most cases of underfive children diarrhea were found in Kolongan and Kauditan Health Centers in January. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to prevent toddler diarrhea such as health promotion, risk factor screening and others.

Abstract

Background: The Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic situation has had an impact on various aspects. One of them is health services which are proven by a decrease in the number of patients, modification of services by health workers, changes in the use of hospital facilities and infrastructure and psychological impacts and other aspects in the community. The purpose of this study is to describe the factors of receiving the Coronavirus Disease 2019 vaccination in the community in Manado City. Methode: This is descriptive quantitative research. The sample in this study is all people aged 18 years and above who are domiciled in Ranotana, Sario District. The number of samples in this study is 278 samples, Proportional Sampling technique with criteria of ≥18 years old and willing to be a respondent. The data obtained was then analyzed descriptively. Results: The results showed that the most respondents were distributed at the age of 26-45 years as much as 49.6%, the equivalent of university education as much as 57.6%, the knowledge of answering correctly on the statement about COVID-19 vaccination has been clinically tested so that it is safe and halal to use as much as 18.5%, the attitude of the most respondents who answered strongly agrees with continuing to implement health protocols even though they have received the vaccine as much as 15.8% and the most Christian beliefs Protestants as many as 85.2%. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the people in Manado city are at most 26-45 years old, university education and equivalent, knowledge about COVID-19 vaccination has been clinically tested so that it is safe and halal to use, attitude about continuing to implement health protocols even though they have received the vaccine and are Protestant Christians.

Abstract

Work productivity is a mental attitude based on the principle. Work productivity was influnced by several factors such as age, temperament, individual physical condition, fatigue, work motivation, physical conditions such as sound, lighting, rest time, work duration, wages, organizational form, social environment, and family. The purpose of this research was to analyzed the correlattion between work fatigue with work productivity in Likupang highway construction project workers at PT. Monalisa Jaya. This research was conducted on Likupang Highway Construction Project Workers At PT. Monalisa Jaya in September-October 2019. This research was an quantitative research using a cross-sectional study design. The population in this research was all field workers at PT Monalisa Jaya, amount to 37 workers. The sample in this research was conducted in total population. Based on the results of research conducted on-field workers at PT. Monalisa Jaya found that PT.Monalisa Jaya shows that most moderate and high work fatigue. In other side, the work productivity was categorized on high. There was a correlattion between work fatigue and work productivity (p=0,001). The conclusion of this research showed that work fatigue has correlattion to work productivity.
