Abstract

The spread of hoaxes is one of the growing social challenges in the digital age, especially when information can spread widely without adequate verification. The Quran, as a source of ethics and guidance for life, provides important principles for addressing this phenomenon. Surah an-Nur verse 11, which recounts the story of the hadis ifki (false news) attributed to Aisya r.a, offers a moral and methodological framework for understanding the dangers of slander and how to anticipate it. This study aims to analyze this verse using a thematic and tafsīr maudhū’i approach in order to explore the values of the Quran related to caution in receiving news, verifying information, and the prohibition of spreading information that has not been proven to be true. The results of the study show that this verse not only emphasizes spiritual and ethical aspects, but also provides a concept of communication that is relevant to the current context. These principles of the Quran can be used as a foundation for building digital literacy and ethics in the use of social media, so that the public is able to anticipate and prevent the spread of hoaxes more effectively.

Abstract

Low learning outcomes in elementary-level social studies courses frequently arises from instructional approaches dominated by teachers, which restrict pupils from independently exploring and internalizing subject concepts. This condition demands the implementation of more innovative learning models to encourage student participation and understanding. This research aims to examine the impact of the inquiry-based instructional approach on the academic results of 6th grade pupils in social studies at SD Inpres 1 Tanamodindi. The investigation included 26 participants from class VI B, selected through purposive sampling, with evidence gathered via assessment tests and documentation. Findings indicated that student mean scores rose from 45.19 prior to intervention to 72.11 after intervention. Statistical analysis using the t-test produced a significance level of 0.000, below the threshold of 0.05, leading to rejection of H0 and confirmation of Ha. Consequently, it can be inferred that the inquiry learning approach significantly influences academic performance in grade six social studies.

Abstract

This study investigates how the Teams Games Tournament cooperative learning model can improve the learning motivation of fourth grade students in Social Studies at Inpres 1 Birobuli Public Elementary School. The research aims to determine whether combining teamwork, friendly competition, and enjoyable activities can encourage students to participate more actively in the learning process. A quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental design is applied, where class IVA receives the Teams Games Tournament treatment and class IVB functions as the comparison group. A motivation questionnaire is used to collect data after the learning activities. Before testing the hypothesis, the data are examined through normality and homogeneity tests to ensure statistical requirements are met. The hypothesis is then analyzed using the Paired Sample T Test through SPSS Statistic twenty five. The results show a significance value of zero point zero zero zero, lower than the alpha level of zero point zero five, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. These results indicate that the Teams Games Tournament model significantly increases students motivation and creates a more engaging classroom atmosphere.

Abstract

Communication skills are essential competencies that support students’ academic success and social interaction in the learning process. However, field observations indicated that fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Tondo showed low communication skills, particularly in expressing opinions and participating actively in classroom discussions. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on improving students’ communication skills. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group pretest–posttest design. The participants consisted of 38 fourth-grade students divided into an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class was taught using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected through communication skills tests and observation sheets and analyzed using descriptive analysis, normalized gain, and independent sample t-test. The results showed that students taught using the Jigsaw model achieved higher posttest scores and better communication skill performance compared to those taught using conventional methods. These findings indicate that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective in enhancing elementary school students’ communication skills and can be applied as an alternative instructional strategy in language learning.

Abstract

The transition from traditional cost-based to service-oriented fare models represents a paradigm shift in public transport financing. This study develops a comprehensive fare calculation model for Buy-the-Service (BTS) transit systems that integrates operational costs, user satisfaction, Ability to Pay (ATP), and Willingness to Pay (WTP). Using data from BisKita Trans Bekasi Patriot corridor in Indonesia, we employed multiple linear regression analysis with 314 users to derive a predictive WTP model: WTP = 2,589.329 + (256.865 × Satisfaction) + (0.030 × ATP). Results indicate that operational costs per passenger (IDR 17,060.20) significantly exceed user WTP (IDR 4,178.34), necessitating a subsidy of IDR 12,876.71 per passenger to maintain service sustainability. Statistical validation confirms model robustness (F = 8.377, p < 0.001) with no multicollinearity issues (VIF = 1.097). The study demonstrates that user satisfaction significantly influences fare acceptance, with each satisfaction unit increasing WTP by IDR 256.87. These findings provide actionable insights for policymakers implementing BTS schemes in developing countries, emphasising the critical role of targeted subsidies in balancing affordability with operational viability while maintaining service quality standards.

Abstract

The tension between preserving the linguistic sanctity of Turath (Islamic heritage) and accommodating the cognitive habits of digital natives represents a critical challenge in modern Islamic Higher Education. While traditional pedagogies often remain rigid, there is an urgent need to understand how digital interactions facilitate the negotiation of meaning between classical Arabic texts and contemporary student identities. Purpose: This study investigates how digital translanguaging practices function as a bridge between tradition and modernity within the context of Balaghah (Rhetoric) instruction. Method: Employing a virtual ethnographic case study at an Indonesian Islamic University, the research analyzed online interactions via WhatsApp and Zoom using a hybrid of Thematic Analysis and Computer-Mediated Discourse Analysis (CMDA). Key Findings: The results demonstrate that digital translanguaging serves as a strategic pedagogical resource rather than a linguistic deficiency. Four primary strategies emerged: (1) vernacularization for cognitive scaffolding, (2) trans-semiotizing through visual logic (emojis/memes), (3) the negotiation of authority via "Santri slang" to mitigate language anxiety, and (4) iterative clarification loops. Implications: The study concludes that these practices create a "Third Space" that evolves the traditional Makna Gandul technique into a digital vernacular, proving essential for the sustainable preservation of Turath pedagogy in the 21st century.

Abstract

Primary education plays a critical role in shaping future human resources, making the quality of learning processes essential. This study examined the strategic management practices of the principal at SDN 2 Bora, a rural primary school in Indonesia, in achieving national learning process standards. The research addressed challenges commonly faced by rural schools, including limited facilities, varied teacher competencies, and fluctuating student motivation. A qualitative case study design was employed, involving 16 teachers, 150 students, 30 parents, and educational staff as participants. Data were collected through questionnaires, systematic observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The Miles and Huberman interactive model was used for data analysis, supplemented by triangulation techniques to ensure trustworthiness. Findings revealed that the principal demonstrated effective strategic management across three key components. Strategic planning was conducted collaboratively and systematically (teacher rating: 95.0%, student: 87.6%, parent: 94.6%). Implementation was supported through active instructional leadership and supportive supervision (teacher: 92.5%, student: 88.5%, parent: 86.8%). Evaluation was performed regularly to guide continuous improvement (teacher: 90.9%, student: 89.3%, parent: 87.1%). Overall stakeholder satisfaction averaged 90.2%, categorized as "Very Good." The study concludes that strategic management significantly improved teacher performance, student engagement, and parental involvement, demonstrating that effective leadership can overcome resource constraints in achieving educational quality standards in rural primary schools.

Abstract

Process-standard management plays a crucial role in ensuring quality education, yet its implementation in integrated science and social studies (IPAS) learning under Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum remains understudied, particularly in resource-limited elementary schools. This qualitative descriptive case study examined process-standard implementation in Grade V IPAS learning at SD Inpres Perumnas Palu through a 31-item student questionnaire (N=31), semi-structured interviews with the teacher and principal, and documentation analysis. The overall implementation achieved a mean score of 3.66/4.00 (95.6%), indicating good to very good quality. Assessment and follow-up demonstrated the strongest performance (M=3.75), while planning and implementation scored 3.65 and 3.60 respectively. Strengths included clear instructional objectives, positive classroom climate, varied teaching methods, systematic formative and summative assessment, and strong school leadership support. However, gaps emerged in student involvement in planning (M=3.13), collaborative learning opportunities (M=3.00), and critical thinking stimulation (M=3.10). An unexpected finding revealed students distinguished between structured group discussions and authentic peer collaboration. Findings confirm that while teachers successfully implement visible pedagogical practices, deeper competencies in curriculum-based planning, sustained inquiry facilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic-formative assessment require strengthened professional development and institutional support.

Abstract

Deep learning implementation requires strong strategic leadership, yet limited empirical evidence exists on how principals manage this process in resource-constrained primary schools. This qualitative case study examined strategic management practices of the principal at SD Inpres Perumnas Palu in implementing deep learning. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the principal and two teachers, a 25-item Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 31 students, and document analysis. Data analysis followed Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña's interactive model involving data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings revealed systematic strategic management across three phases: planning through vision-mission alignment and cascade training models (mean effectiveness: 94.8%), implementation via pedagogical guidance and resource mobilization including ATM curriculum adaptation and multi-format supervision, and evaluation through weekly collaborative meetings and systematic monitoring using 15-indicator instruments. Student perceptions indicated predominantly positive deep learning experiences (overall mean = 3.61), with highest scores in mindful learning (mean = 3.76) and joyful learning (mean = 3.71) dimensions. Challenges included ICT competency variations, time constraints, and infrastructure limitations. Strategic management effectively enabled deep learning implementation despite resource constraints, with principal leadership creating conditions supporting pedagogical innovation. The study demonstrates how transformational leadership translates into concrete strategic processes, contributing frameworks for implementing curriculum reform in developing educational contexts.
