Abstract

Stunting adalah gangguan pada pertumbuhan yang terjadi akibat kekurangan gizi kronis atau disebabkan penyakit infeksi. Diketahui bahwa pada anak stunting pada saluran cernanya terjadi petumbuhan bakteri pathogen, prebiotic adalah zat dalam bahan makanan seperti serat yang tidak dapat dicerna dan secara selektif dapat merangsang pertumbuhan dan aktivitas bakteri, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tepung pisang kepok (musa paradisiaca) pada anak stunting terhadap penurunan bakteri e.coli di wilayah Jungkat Kabupaten Mempawah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest and Posttest Control-Group Design, dengan 40 sampel yang diambil dengan cara purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di desa Jungkat, Kabupaten Mempawah. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired T-Test dan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks. Rata-rata terjadi penurunan jumlah bakteri e.coli sebelum diberikan tepung pisang yaitu sebesar 76.350,30 koloni dan sesudah diberikan tepung pisang yaitu 56.903,30 koloni. Pemberian tepung pisang kepada balita stunting yang diukur melalui feses menurunkan jumlah bakteri e.coli dalam usus balita.

Abstract

Penyakit diabetes melitusmerupakankumpulan gejala yang timbul pada seseorang yang ditandai denganmeningkatnyakadar glukosa darah akibat kekurangan insulin. Penggunaan aplikasi whatsapp groupsebagai sarana pemberian edukasi sangat bermanfaat dan membantu dalam proses berkomunikasi, memberi dan menerima informasi. Tujuan penelitian inin untuk menganalisis pengaruh edukasi menggunakan media Whatshapp terhadap pengetahuan dan kepatuhan diet pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Klinik Edukasi Diabetes Melitus Terpadu RSUD Sultan Syarief Mohamad Alkadrie Kota Pontianak.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian preeksperimentaldenganone group pretest posttestuntuk melihat pengaruhedukasi menggunakan media whatsappterhadappengetahuan dan kepatuhan diet  pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2. Intervensi yang diberikan berupa poster dan teks penjelasan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni – Juli 2021.Berdasarkan uji Wilcoxonuntuk pengetahuan gizi dengan p-value 0,000 yang artinya ada perbedaan pengetahuan gizi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi menggunakan media Whatsapp. Beradasarkan uji Paired t-test dengan p-value 0,000 yang artinya ada perbedaan kepatuhan diet sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi menggunakan media Whatsapp.Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan gizi dan kepatuhan diet sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi menggunakan media whatsapppada pasien DM tipe 2 di RSUD Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alkadrie Kota Pontianak

Abstract

Penyakit diare terjadi pada anak sebesar 2,1 milyar setiap tahun di seluruh dunia, khusus di Indonesia sebesar 1,08% balita terkena diare. Pemberian ASI ekslusif juga dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan kejadian diare sebab ASI mengandung Lysosim yang melindungi bayi dari bakteri (E. Coli dan Salmonella) dan virus. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganali- sis hubungan pemberian ASI eklusif terhadap kejadian diare pada anak usia 7 – 59 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Raya Dalam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional ana- litik dengan pendekatan rancangan case control. Lokasi penelitian adalah di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Raya Dalam. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah anak yang menderita diare akut usia 7 – 59 bulan sebesar 40 kasus dan 40 kontrol. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakanuji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signi kan (p=0,01)antara pemberian ASI Ekslusif dengan kejadian diare pada anak usia 7-59 bulan. Balita yang tidak mendapatkan ASI Ekslusif memiliki peluang 3,45 kali lebih besar untuk terkena diare (OR=3,45). Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu balita tidak ASI ekslusif berisiko mengalami diare.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu factor penting sebagai pemicu Penyakit Tidak Menular. Faktor risiko terjadinya hipertensi terdiri dari faktor yang tidak dapat dimodifikasi, seperti usia, genetic dan asupan kalium. Air kelapa muda mengandung kalium tinggi yang dapat menurunkan tekanan darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh air kelapa muda terhadap tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Telaga Biru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Experiment Design) berupa time series one group pretest posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah penderita hipertensi yang berada di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Telaga Biru berjumlah 24 sampel. Tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Data dikumpulkan secara langsung melalui wawancara dan pengukuran tekanan darah selama 5 hari berturut-turut. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0,00) tekanan darah sistolik sebelum dan setelah diberikan air kelapa muda. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0,72) tekanan darah diastolik responden sebelum dan setelah diberikan air kelapa muda. Pemberian air kelapa muda menurunkan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik sebesar 3,24% dan 0,33%.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Kulit buah naga merah belum dimanfaatkan menjadi bahan dasar dalam pembuatan produk pangan, kulit buah naga merah itu hanya dianggap sebagai limbah yang tidak dapat diolah. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemanfaatan buah naga merah ini juga berdampak pada nilai jual buah naga merah yang murah dipasaran. Oleh karena itu, kulit buah naga merah dapat dimanfaatkan dengan diolah menjadi produk pangan yaitu selai lembaran. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui daya terima selai lembaran kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) dengan substitusi lidah buaya (Aloe chinensis Baker) pada konsentrasi (25gr:17gr), (30gr:12gr), dan (35gr:7gr). Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen yaitu penelitian berupa uji coba untuk mengetahui daya terima selai lembaran kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) dengan substitusi lidah buaya (Aloe chinensis Baker). Hasil: Hasil daya terima panelis terhadap warna, rasa, aroma dan tekstur selai lembaran kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) dengan substitusi lidah buaya (Aloe chinensis Baker) pada perlakuan 2 (30gr : 12gr). Kesimpulan: Disarankan kepada konsumen agar dapat memanfaatkan kulit buah naga merah dan lidah buaya menjadi selai lembaran sebagai alternatif makanan tambahan sebagai isian roti. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai kandungan zat gizi mikro lainnya yang terdapat pada selai lembaran kulit buah naga merah dengan substitusi lidah buaya.

Abstract

Food intake was influenced by eating patterns in toddlers. If the diet was not achieved properly, it will have an impact on the growth of toddlers. One of the factors that influenced mothers in feeding toddlers was knowledge. STIPMA media was a visual education media modified from flashcard media. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of giving STIPMA educational media (child feeding information sticks), the flipcharts Breastmilk Complementary Food Control Card (KUKOMPAS) on mother's knowledge and feeding patterns for toddlers aged 6-24 months at the Kampung Bangka Health Centre. The research was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest with a control group design, the research sample was 16 in the control and the other 16 in the treatment group in the Bansir Laut sub-district which was determined based on the inclusion criteria. The treatment was in the form of giving media information sticks and providing education with flipcharts which were carried out for 4 meetings in 21 days. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon rank test, paired t-test, and Independent-test. There was a significant difference in mother's knowledge in the treatment and the control group by giving STIPMA media with a p-value of 0.045<0.05, and there was a difference in feeding patterns of toddlers in the treatment and the control group by giving STIPMA media with a p-value of 0.006>0.05 where the treatment group was better than the control group. The Giving STIPMA media and education using flipcharts could help increase mothers’ knowledge and assist mothers in changing feeding patterns for toddlers. Abstract

Stunting is a problem of poor nutrition based on height for age (TB/U) suffered from childhood and is an indicator of chronic malnutrition. Determination of stunting toddlers generally begins with taking anthropometric measurements in the form of toddler height. The aim of the community service is to increase knowledge of measuring height after being given training twice and to improve skills in measuring height with microtois. Community service is carried out at the Telaga Biru Health Center with the target of cadres and nutrition officers with a total of 18 respondents. Community service is carried out from May to July 2022. Training is given 2 times and evaluation monitoring is 1 time. The results of the training were seen from the knowledge of height measurement and height measurement skills. The data were analyzed by using the dependent test if the data was normally distributed and the Wilcoxon rank test if it was not normally distributed. The results of this community service show that there is a difference in knowledge of height measurement between the first and second training (p = 0.002). Respondents took more measurements in order (88.9%). In addition, 55.6% of respondents have done all stages of height measurement. It is necessary to refresh cadres by involving nutrition lecturers as companions every 3 months, especially in terms of measuring toddlers' height.

Abstract

Stunting is an indication of poor nutritional status and is used as a long-term indicator of malnutrition in children. Determining stunted toddlers generally begins by taking anthropometric measurements in the form of the toddler's height and is carried out by health officers or cadres at Posyandu. In fact, the role of parents is very important, even as the front guard in monitoring children's growth. The problem is that people feel they are only objects or targets of programs that are continuously given education without being given the opportunity to become subjects, for example by being given skills. The aim of implementing the community service is to improve the skills of mothers of toddlers in measuring the height of toddlers, improve the skills of mothers of toddlers in monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers independently and increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers regarding stunting and appropriate eating behavior for toddlers which supports the growth of toddlers. The methods of community service activities that will be carried out include providing training on anthropometric measurements of toddlers' height, monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers independently and education using an FGD approach to mothers of toddlers. The results for this community service show that respondents took more measurements according to the sequence and more respondents took measurements according to the KMS filling procedure. There was an increase in the knowledge of mothers of toddlers after being given 20 points of education. Apart from that, based on the results of statistical tests, it shows that there is a difference in knowledge before and after being given education (p=0.00). It is necessary to carry out monitoring and evaluation of mothers of toddlers by Posyandu cadres in terms of measuring and monitoring the growth of their toddlers. If necessary, you can involve a nutrition lecturer as a companion every 3 months, especially in measuring the height of toddlers.

Abstract

The limitations of healthcare personnel in Indonesia result in suboptimal health service coverage. Therefore, a participatory development strategy is an effective approach to address the stunting issue. It's called participatory because not only the government but also the community needs awareness and action to tackle this problem. Empowering health cadres in existing community health posts is one solution. Stunting cases often go unnoticed, requiring community empowerment to recognize and understand its signs. Early awareness enables prompt intervention, preventing severe complications. The goal of this community service is to empower the community through health cadres in addressing and preventing stunting issues in the Rasau Jaya Health Center area. Implementing a more participatory community empowerment model in handling stunting problems is also emphasized in the Rasau Jaya Health Center area. The community service method involves enhancing the capacities of cadres through mentoring activities. This includes training, cadre refreshers, socialization, and practical sessions to improve their knowledge and skills. Additionally, raising awareness and knowledge about stunting, its health impacts, and future consequences is crucial. It aims to broaden understanding of prevention and intervention efforts against stunting. Results from the community service in Rasau Jaya Tiga, Kubu Raya, indicate that empowering health cadres successfully enhances knowledge in stunting intervention. Cadres proficiently perform anthropometry and determine the anemia status of pregnant women, reflecting commitment to stunting prevention aligned with community service goals.

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) occurs due to prolonged insufficient intake of protein and energy, which often affects women both before and during pregnancy. One of the efforts to prevent CED in pregnant women is consuming adequate energy and protein according to their needs. Additionally, nutritional intake is influenced by the pregnant woman's knowledge about nutritional adequacy during pregnancy. The design of a pregnancy nutrition expert system model aims to assist pregnant women in determining healthy meal plans and monitoring their dietary patterns to achieve an ideal body weight. The objective of this community service program is to enhance the knowledge of Posyandu cadres about nutrition for pregnant women, enabling them to disseminate this information during Posyandu sessions. Additionally, it aims to equip the cadres with skills to use the AKZI Bumil application before introducing it to pregnant women. The methods for this community service program include providing education on maternal nutrition to cadres and introducing the AKZI Bumil application. Results: After the nutrition education, there was an increase in knowledge among 9 participants, with a statistically significant difference (p=0.046). Additionally, 66.7% of cadres found the application user-friendly and beneficial for managing maternal health data. Most cadres considered the content appropriate for their needs, although some reported errors and suggested adding variables for nutritional monitoring during pregnancy.
