Abstract

ABSTRACT Bivalves and gastropods are two classes in the mollusk phylum which have the largest number of species compared to other classes. Organisms in this class are protected by a thick coat called a shell made from CaCo3 (calcium carbonate). The flesh of these organisms is used as food, while the shells are thrown away and sometimes not used, until they accumulate and become waste. Processing of shell waste has been carried out to fulfill various people's lives, including in the pharmaceutical, food industry, agriculture and craft industries. Handicrafts utilize various shell shapes with beautiful colors to produce several valuable products. This activity was carried out to guide and improve the skills of female fishermen in making handicrafts made from shell shells. This community service activity was carried out in Ranooha Raya Village, Moramo District, South Konawe Regency, and involved a partner group, namely a group of fishermen women who were still productive. The results of the service activities are handicrafts in the form of women's accessories such as brooches, key chains and bracelets. Keywords: Handycraft, shellfish waste, Ranooha Raya Village.

Abstract

Kelurahan Sambuli Kecamatan Nambo Kota Kendari memiliki potensi sumberdaya perikanan yang melimpah, namun tidak diimbangi oleh kreatifitas masyarakat dalam olahan poduk perikanan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Terintegrasi Kuliah Kerja Nyata - Tematik (PKM-KKN Tematik). Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat nelayan dan mengembangkan ekonomi lokal berbasis kelautan dan perikanan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui pelatihan membuat berbagai produk olahan makanan berbahan dasar ikan sehingga nilai jual (nilai ekonomi) dari produk perikanan meningkat. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh kelompok nelayan Maju Jaya dan masyarakat setempat. Hasil yang telah dicapai pada kegiatan ini, yaitu kelompok nelayan dan masyarakat setempat telah memahami metode pengolahan, pengemasan, pemasaran dan pembukuan produk olahan ikan, serta telah berhasil membuat produk olahan dalam kemasan yang siap untuk dipasarkan.

Abstract

Population parameters such as growth, recruitment patterns, mortality, and exploitation rates have a very crucial role in sustainable fisheries resource management. This study aims to analyze the growth, recruitment patterns, mortality, and exploitation rate of yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) at the Kendari Ocean Fishing Port. Data were obtained from fishermen's catches using mini purse seine fishing gear at the Kendari Ocean Fishing Port (PPS) during the period June to November 2024. The analysis was carried out using the von Bertalanffy method for growth, recruitment patterns, mortality estimation, and exploitation using FiSAT II software. The findings indicated that the yellowfin tuna's estimated maximum length (L∞) reached 70.20 cm, with an annual growth coefficient (K) of 0.50. The recruitment trend revealed a significant peak in August, registering a rate of 19.55%. The total annual mortality rate (Z) was noted at 6.14, comprising a natural mortality (M) rate of 0.90 per year and a fishing mortality (F) rate of 5.25 per year. The exploitation rate (E) calculated at 0.85 per year suggests that the yellowfin tuna caught at Kendari PPS in the Banda Sea is subject to overfishing. This analysis offers crucial insights for the sustainable management of yellowfin tuna stocks and suggests that additional research on the fishing equipment employed in the Banda Sea for capturing yellowfin tuna be conducted.

Abstract

Ekosistem laut rentan rusak akibat dari perubahan iklim, eksploitasi berlebih dan pencemaran laut. Kendala upaya konservasi adalah kurangnya pemahaman publik akan pentingnya melestarikan laut. Peningkatan pemahaman harus dilakukan di berbagai wilayah. Kesadaran siswa mengenai urgensi pelestarian ekosistem laut, dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendidikan yang bersifat interaktif dan berorientasi lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi pemahaman ekosistem laut bagi siswa/i SDN 04 Moramo Utara bertema “Pahlawan Kecil Penjaga Laut”. Kegiatan ini berupa pengenalan dan pentingnya menjaga ekosistem laut. Metode yang digunakan presentasi, diskusi dan tanya jawab dengan semua anak didik kelas 1 sampai 6 SD yang berjumlah 136 Murid. Untuk menimbulkan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap ekosistem laut, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan lomba menggambar yang diikuti oleh murid kelas 1 sampai 4 SD. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa siswa/i memiliki antusias yang tinggi terhadap topik ekosistem laut. Mampu menjelaskan fungsi dan kenapa kita harus menjaga laut serta memiliki rasa tanggung jawab akan kelestarian laut.

Abstract

Food self-sufficiency among coastal communities is an essential aspect in achieving sustainable food security. Bokori Village in Konawe Regency has significant potential for aquaculture development; however, current practices that rely on monoculture still create challenges, such as the accumulation of organic waste, declining water quality, and high vulnerability of cultured organisms to diseases. To address these issues, a multiculture approach known as Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) was applied in fixed-net cages (karamba tancap) as an innovative and environmentally friendly solution. This community engagement program aimed to enhance food self-sufficiency of fisher groups through the diversification of aquaculture products while maintaining aquatic ecosystem quality. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach involving two fisher groups, Usaha Bersama and Langkoe, whose main livelihoods include fishing, fish trading, and fish processing. The program stages consisted of socialization of the IMTA concept, construction of IMTA-based fixed-net cages, stocking of fish seeds and extractive organisms (seaweed, abalone, and sea cucumber), and technical assistance in maintenance. Evaluation was conducted through monitoring of water quality, survival rates of cultured organisms, as well as improvements in fishers’ knowledge and skills. The results showed that the IMTA system effectively utilized organic waste from fish culture as nutrients for extractive organisms, thus maintaining relatively stable water quality. Fisher groups achieved higher productivity through diversified harvests that included not only fish but also seaweed and other high-value species. Moreover, fishers demonstrated increased understanding of sustainable and integrated aquaculture practices. The application of IMTA in fixed-net cages in Bokori Village has proven to support food self-sufficiency of fisher groups, improve community welfare, and contribute significantly to the development of sustainable aquaculture systems in coastal areas.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between career search self-efficacy and student life satisfaction among vocational high school students, with career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) as a mediator. Using a quantitative correlational design, 729 students from six vocational schools in Banda Aceh were selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Career Search Self-Efficacy Scale (CSSES), the Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale–Short Form, and the Student Life Satisfaction Scale, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Sobel tests. The results are that career exploration efficacy, personal efficacy, and parental support positively influence CDSE and life satisfaction, whereas interview efficacy shows a negative effect due to anxiety. Mediation analysis confirms that CDSE significantly mediates the link between career search self-efficacy and life satisfaction, especially through self-appraisal and planning. The study extends Social Cognitive Career Theory by integrating cultural factors and highlighting the importance of school-based guidance in strengthening planning skills and family involvement. Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the pattern of banking services, including the use of mobile banking applications such as Livin' by Mandiri. This application offers convenience in transactions, but customer trust in using it is inseparable from the digital financial literacy and security factors of the system offered. Digital financial literacy plays a role in helping customers understand the features, risks, and benefits of the application, while the security aspect determines the customer's sense of security in transactions. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital financial literacy and security on customer decisions in using the Livin' by Mandiri application at Bank Mandiri KCP Donggala. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to Bank Mandiri KCP Donggala customers. The study population is all customers who use the Livin' by Mandiri application, with probability sampling techniques and simple random sampling types. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests, T tests for partial effect testing, and F tests (ANOVA) for simultaneous effect testing with the help of SPSS software. Based on the test results, the digital financial literacy variable (X1) has a positive and significant partial effect on customer decisions with a Tcount value of 2.416 > Ttable 1.985 and a significance of 0.018 < 0.05. The security variable (X2) also has a positive and significant partial effect with a Tcount value of 3.683 > Ttable 1.985 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. Simultaneously, digital financial literacy and security have a significant effect on customer decisions with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and Fcount 29.334 > Ftable 3.09. This proves that digital financial literacy and security are important factors in customer decision making to use Livin by Mandiri

Abstract

Kelurahan Tondonggeu, yang terletak di pesisir Kecamatan Nambo, memiliki kekayaan sumber daya alam dan hayati yang berlimpah, seperti hasil laut, ekosistem lamun, dan potensi wisata bahari. Namun, pemanfaatan potensi ini masih didominasi oleh kegiatan ekonomi tradisional yang nilai tambahnya rendah.  Selain itu, permasalahan lain seperti permasalahan lingkungan berupa penumpukan sampah plastik dan sampah organik, dan pemanfaatan hasil laut yang kurang optimal menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi masyarakat.  Tujuan Kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberdayakan masyarakat pesisir untuk pengembangkan ekonomi kreatif berbasis potensi pesisir yang ramah lingkungan, memanfaatkan potensi lokal, dan menciptakan peluang usaha baru. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada di Kelurahan Tondoggeu maka beberapa program kerja telah dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu sosialisasi dan diskusi mengenai tahapan-tahapan kegiatan/program, pembentukkan tim atau kelompok kerja dari mahasiswa untuk mendamping anggota kelompok nelayan, pengumpulan dan pemilahan sampah plastik dengan menyediakan wadah pengumpulnya, pengolahan sampah anorganik (botol plastik) menjadi produk bernilai jual, serta pelatihan pembuatan inovasi produk turunan dari ikan. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan pesisir sekaligus menumbuhkan semangat wirausaha berbasis potensi lokal. Masyarakat tidak hanya memperoleh keterampilan baru, tetapi juga mampu mengubah limbah dan hasil laut menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pendekatan kreatif dan berkelanjutan dapat memberikan dampak positif secara sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan.
