Abstract

This study aims to identify and develop the community’s economic potential around the mosque in Suboh District, Situbondo, based on local excellence. The method used in this study is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which focuses on utilizing local resources through entrepreneurship training and local product processing. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study results indicate that the community has basic skills in processing local agricultural and craft products but faces marketing, packaging, and business management obstacles. The entrepreneurship training improved the community’s skills and confidence in developing products based on local potential. However, challenges related to business sustainability and business management still exist. The implications of this study are the importance of ongoing mentoring programs and business management training to ensure long-term success. This study contributes to the development of the local economy and community empowerment based on local resources and is a reference for community empowerment programs in other areas

Abstract

Poor nutritional conditions in elementary school students can hinder the learning process and have an impact on decreasing concentration and academic achievement. This study was motivated by this phenomenon, especially at SDN 1 Karanggeger, where many students come to school without adequate nutritional intake. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the free lunch program in improving students' concentration and academic achievement. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that the free lunch program contributed positively to increasing student attendance, focus on learning in class, involvement in discussions, and the ability to complete academic tasks. Students' average academic grades also increased significantly after the program was implemented. The program also created a more conducive learning environment and increased students' motivation and social interaction. The implications of this study are very relevant to education policy, especially in areas with economic constraints, because they show that nutrition-based interventions can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of education. It is recommended that similar programs be implemented more widely and accompanied by monitoring and nutrition education for students and parents to ensure the sustainability of their benefits.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of Flipped Learning on Islamic Religious Education learning and student learning motivation at Kertonegoro State Elementary School (SDN). The Flipped Learning method allows students to access learning materials before class sessions and allocates class time for interactive discussions and understanding concepts. This research involved teachers and students at SDN Kertonegoro in implementing Flipped Learning during a certain period. The results of the research show that Flipped Learning has a positive impact on Islamic Religious Education at SDN Kertonegoro. More intense interaction between teachers and students during class sessions increases the understanding of religious concepts and enhances student engagement in learning. In addition, Flipped Learning also contributes to increasing student learning motivation. Students show greater interest, more active participation, and a higher level of persistence in understanding religious teachings. Even though several technical obstacles were encountered, such as limited internet access, the long-term benefits of implementing Flipped Learning are believed to positively contribute to the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning at SDN Kertonegoro. The implications of this research provide a basis for the development of more adaptive and motivational learning strategies in the context of religious education at the elementary level. Hopefully, this research can contribute to a better understanding of the effectiveness of Flipped Learning in improving student learning and motivation. That this learning approach stimulates student curiosity and develops their independence in learning. Despite facing some technical hindrances, such as limited internet access in some areas, the long-term benefits of Flipped Learning are believed to contribute positively to the quality of Islamic Religious Education at SDN Kertonegoro. The implications of this research can assist in developing more adaptive and motivational learning strategies in the context of religious education at the elementary level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep transformasi pendidikan karakter dalam mewujudkan kesadaran diri siswa. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi non partisipan, wawancara mendalam terhadap 5 orang informan, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan kondensasi, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi dalam melaksanakan transformasi pendidikan karakter dalam mewujudkan kesadaran diri siswa adalah melalui 1) Metode pembelajaran berbasis nilai dengan mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter ke dalam kurikulum, khususnya pada mata pelajaran agama dan kewarganegaraan; 2) Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis karakter, dan 3) Keterlibatan orang tua dan masyarakat yang melibatkan mereka dalam diskusi rutin tentang pendidikan karakter sehingga menunjukkan hasil yang lebih positif. Kendala dalam proses ini meliputi kurangnya pelatihan guru, keterbatasan waktu dan beban kurikulum, dan kurangnya partisipasi orang tua. Namun demikian, ada tantangan yang harus diatasi, seperti pengaruh negatif media sosial dan kurangnya pelatihan bagi pendidik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang lebih komprehensif dan berkelanjutan, termasuk peningkatan kompetensi guru, penguatan peran keluarga, dan pemanfaatan teknologi secara bijak untuk memaksimalkan efektivitas pendidikan karakter dalam membangun kesadaran diri siswa.

Abstract

Ethical decline among adolescents is one of the main challenges in education today. This study aims to examine how the integration of religious values into moral education can mitigate the ethical decline among adolescents at High School, a boarding school that combines religious and general education. This research used a case study approach with qualitative methodology, involving participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. This research was conducted at Nurul Jadid High School. The results indicate that the integration of religious values into the curriculum and extracurricular activities plays a significant role in improving students' morals and ethics, particularly in the areas of discipline, respect, and responsibility. Furthermore, the role of teachers as moral role models and a positive school environment also influence the successful internalization of religious values in students. However, challenges in its implementation include the gap between the teaching of religious theory and the implementation of these values in daily life. This study recommends a more contextual and integrative approach to address this challenge and strengthen religion-based moral education.

Abstract

Salah satu media yang digunakan guru untuk merangsang perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini adalah media kartu. Untuk mendeteksi huruf, kata, frase, kalimat, dan wacana serta menghubungkan bunyi dan artinya, media kartu bergambar dikutip sebagai salah satu metode untuk mencapai kemudahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan media fruit cartoon card dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan yakni penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus, sedangkan Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasidan wawancara, subjek penelitian ialah anak usia dini kelompok kuncup RA Miftahul Ulum Ketangi yang jumlah keseluruhan terdapat 15 anak. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Model Interaktif Miles and Huberman dengan kegiatan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa media ‘Fruit Cartoon Card’ dapat membantu anak usia dini untuk belajar mengenal berbagai jenis buah, khususnya pada anak didik. Anak-anak belajar lebih cepat dan merasa lebih mudah untuk menyebutkan dan mengingat berbagai jenis buah ketika media ‘Fruit Cartoon Card’ digunakan bersama dengan pendekatan guru dalam memperkenalkan buah. Dengan adanya implementasi ‘Fruit Cartoon Card’ ini diharapkan akan bermanfaat bagi anak usia dini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan, tumbuh kembang anak, meningkatkan pemahaman dan daya serap anak terhadap materi pembelajaran serta motivasi belajar anak dalam mengenal buah.

Abstract

The escalating prevalence of intolerance and radicalism within diverse student age cohorts has become a pronounced area of concern. This phenomenon is ostensibly linked to the suboptimal implementation of moderation education in educational institutions. Consequently, the primary objective of this investigation is to scrutinize the application of self-control-based classroom management in Islamic elementary schools as a means of cultivating moderation attitudes among students. The research was executed at an Islamic elementary school in East Java, Indonesia, employing a multifaceted approach encompassing observations, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The analytical framework of Miles and Huberman was adopted for data analysis, with data triangulation serving as a mechanism for ensuring data validity. The instructional strategy employed by the observed school in nurturing moderation attitudes via self-control-based classroom management comprises several pivotal activities. These include student grouping, discouraging the use of sarcasm within the madrasa environment, fostering group discussions, and incentivizing academic achievement. The design of these activities is strategically oriented towards prompting students to manifest self-control across their behavior, cognitive processes, and decision-making while upholding the core values of al-'adl, tawazun, and tasamuh. This research holds substantial significance in its contribution to the enhancement of students' behavioral acumen, cognitive capacities, and decision-making proficiencies. The overarching impact is realized through the instillation of respect for others, the eradication of discriminatory tendencies, and the cultivation of a culture of mutual affection among students.

Abstract

In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, which requires the younger generation to develop expertise in the IT field, educational institutions must also develop Madrasah management to provide this knowledge and skills for their students. This study aims to examine Prodistik as Madrasa management in developing IT skills in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 so that Madrasah graduates can also master technology. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative with case study type. At the same time, the research location is in MA Negeri 2 Probolinggo. Data collection techniques used include observation and in-depth interviews equipped with documentation. The data analysis technique refers to the Miles andHuberman technique, which allows data reduction, data display, and data verification/conclusion. The study results indicate that Madrasah management in implementing Prodistik is collaborating with ITS Surabaya, forming an IT Skills Vocational Team and ToT, developing the Prodistik curriculum, and monitoring and evaluating programs in collaboration with ITS every semester. The conclusion is the increasing ability of MA Negeri 2 Probolinggo students in the IT field who are able to make various useful products by utilizing IT in the preparation of Final Projects and achievements in various IT competitions The implication is that educational institutions can realize Madrasah programs to the maximum if there is cooperation with other relevant institutions or institutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the role of parents in responding to gadgets and their implicit behavior towards children in Pakistaji village, Wonoasih sub-district, Probolinggo city with continuous control and orgrib Koran organizations (GMM) as shields for children. deviant behavior in children. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study type approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and supported by documentation. This research was conducted in Pakistaji Village, Wonoasih District, Probolinggo City. The subjects in the study were parents and some children who depend on gadgets. The results of this study are the following: The frequency of using gadgets needs to be limited. Children don't need too many gadgets, because the most important thing is that children can use them and know how to use them optimally. Excessive intensity of using gadgets can trigger irregularities. The role of parents in responding to the use of gadgets in their children is very important. This is done so that children do not abuse their parents' trust in them. The attitude that needs to be shown is to accompany children when playing gadgets and parents must be able to operate them. As for the consequences if parents do not supervise the use of gadgets on their children, then their children will engage in deviant behavior. Forms of deviation in the form of attitudes and speech that are not good. Abstract

Learning the yellow book has many benefits, especially in understanding religious knowledge. Which learning mostly uses the classical yellow book, because many Muslim scientists and intellectuals refer to the yellow book. This research uses a qualitative approach with case studies. The research method used is qualitative. With data collection techniques in the form of observation (observation), interviews (interviews) and documentation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the amtsilati book method in increasing students' aptitude and interest in reading the yellow book, in the Zaid Bin Tsabit (K) Putri Region and also to understand and examine events and problems that occur in the field. The subjects in this study were participants of the Takhossus Diny Bahrul Ulum amtsilati. The results of the research show that there are several tricks in increasing students' talents and interest in reading the yellow book, resulting in the following: First, providing volumes of amtsilati learning material in the form of teaching and learning activities (KBM) starting from volumes 1-5 and additional material in the form of Qoidati, Tatimmah, Sharfiyah. Second, teaching practice learning (Amtsilati Theory Practice). Third, the deposit of koidah and khulashoh amtsilati. Fourth, Discussion or joint deliberation (Munaqosah) on amtslati material. Fifth, Demonstration of amtsilati.
