Abstract

Indonesia is known as an island country that has many types of abundant food, consisting of the agricultural sector, the fisheries sector and the industrial sector. However, foodstuffs are often prone to spoilage due to their nature of being easily contaminated by microorganisms. Some reliable solutions in making food durable and long-lasting are the use of ELF magnetic fields. This research has the aim of analyzing the effect of ELF exposure on several food ingredients. The research method used is the article review type literature study method with a total of 30 articles consisting of scientific journals or relevant research journals. The result of the research that has been done is that ELF magnetic field exposure to several food ingredients has great potential to increase the durability of food ingredients by paying attention to the level of intensity of ELF magnetic field exposure and can maintain the quality of its physical condition during the preservation process.

Abstract

Gelombang elektromagnetik digunakan dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk industri makanan guna menghambat pertumbuhan mikroba yang dapat merusak produk makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efek dari paparan gelombang elektromagnetik pada Frekuensi Rendah (ELF) dalam meningkatkan ketahanan pangan. Dengan menggunakan metode review artikel dan menganalisis 11 sumber terpercaya seperti jurnal dan artikel ilmiah, temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gelombang elektromagnetik memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan ketahanan pangan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Faktor-faktor seperti intensitas dan durasi paparan gelombang elektromagnetik antara 0 - 300Hz turut memainkan peran penting dalam hal ini. Selain itu, paparan gelombang elektromagnetik juga dapat memengaruhi nilai pH pada produk makanan, yang pada gilirannya dapat memperpanjang masa simpan makanan. Penelitian ini terutama difokuskan pada sayuran seperti cabai, selada, edamame, jamur tiram, serta berbagai buah-buahan seperti anggur hitam, buah naga merah, jambu air, dan tomat.

Abstract

This research investigated how using Articulate Storyline 3 within a Self-Directed Learning (SDL) model affected vocational students' motivation and physics learning achievements. The study employed a true experimental design, specifically a Post-test Only Control Group Design and was carried out at SMK Negeri 2 Jember. Sample determination is done by conducting a homogeneity test, then randomly selected for the control class and the experimental class through a lottery. Data was collected using observation, interview, questionnaire, test and documentation methods. The data analysis technique used was normality test and T test with the help of IBM SPSS 25 software. Questionnaire results indicated that students in the experimental group, who used the Self-Directed Learning model with Articulate Storyline 3, showed higher average learning motivation compared to the control group.  The results of data analysis of student learning motivation with the Independent Sample T-test test obtained a significance value of 0.010 ≤ 0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The post-test results revealed that students in the experimental group, who learned physics using the Self-Directed Learning model with Articulate Storyline 3, achieved higher average scores than those in the control group. The results of data analysis of student physics learning outcomes tested with the Mann-Whitney U-test get a significance value of 0.004 ≤ 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the application of the SDL model accompanied by Articulate Storyline 3 media on student motivation and physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to establish the design of the trainer kit project to determine the effect of the rope material type toward the rope wave velocity and the effect of the type of nylon, raffia, polyester, hemp and chinnese satin rope materials on the velocity of rope wave propagation. The research method used is the Research and Development method using Nieveen design. The development of trainer kit uses an Arduino UNO microcontroller equipped with a proximity sensor HC-SR04 for measuring the rope wavelength. One point of the rope is tied with a timer ticker and the other is tied to a hanging load which is resting on a pulley. When the power supply is turned on, the timer ticker will vibrate to move the rope that has been tied. The rope will form a transverse wave. The result of this research, the design of trainer kit is development by using micro-controlled Arduino UNO and a proximity sensor HC-SR04 can be declared as a valid result. There are mass convention impacts of the type of rope likely nylon, polyester, raffia, hemp and chinese satin toward the rope wave velocity.

Abstract

ABSTRACTExtremely Low Frequency (ELF) electromagnetic radiation is an electromagnetic wave that has a low frequency range, which is around 3Hz-300Hz. Gclumps at this frequency have a very long wavelength of about 100,000 to 10,000 km per wave. Tape is one example of a fermented product. Exposure to ELF electromagnetic radiation can affect the duration of food ripeness, one example is fermentation on tape. Fermentation on tape uses the help of yeast, which is a microorganism that reacts on a substance to produce a product. The research method  used was experimental research with exposure to a 500 μT ELF magnetic field  on samples for 60 minutes. Exposure to ELF waves affects the maturity process of cassava tape which can be proven by differences in taste, texture, and color.Keywords: electromagnetic ELF, wave, tape  ABSTRAKRadiasi elektromagnetik Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) adalah gelombang elektromagnetik yang memiliki rentang frekuensi yang rendah, yaitu sekitar 3Hz-300Hz. Gelombang pada frekuensi ini memiliki panjang gelombang yang sangat panjang yaitu sekitar 100.000 hingga 10.000 km setiap gelombangnya. Tape adalah salah satu contoh produk hasil fermentasi. Pemaparan radiasi elektromagnetik ELF dapat berpengaruh pada durasi kematangan bahan pangan, salah satu contohnya yaitu fermentasi pada tape. Fermentasi pada tape menggunakan bantuan ragi, yang mana merupakan mikroorganisme yang bereaksi pada suatu zat sehingga menghasilkan produk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan paparan medan magnet ELF 500 μT pada sampel selama 60 menit. Paparan gelombang ELF berpengaruh pada proses kematangan tape singkong yang dapat dibuktikan dengan perbedaan rasa, tekstur, dan warna.Kata kunci : elektromagnetik ELF, gelombang, tape

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kesuburan tanah dengan metode resistivitas dari hasil aplikasi pemberian campuran biochar-kompos sebagai media tanam dengan dosis yang berbeda. Biochar adalah hasil dari proses pembakaran biomassa yang dibakar dengan keadaan oksigen yang terbatas. Pupuk kompos berasal dari penguraian bahan organik alami. Ketika biochar dicampur dengan kompos dapat meningkatkan agregat dan porositas tanah. Resistivitas tanah merupakan indikator yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kesuburan tanah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 di Green House UPA Taman Agroteknologi Universitas Jember. Sampel diletakkan pada polybag ukuran 40 cm x 40 cm dengan massa tanah 9 kg sebanyak 6 polybag. Massa biochar yang digunakan yaitu 150 g, 180 g, 210 g, 270 g, dan 300 g, pupuk kompos yang digunakan yaitu 150 g, 180 g, 240 g, 270 g, dan 300 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian biochar 270 g + kompos 180 g menunjukkan nilai resistivitas terendah di minggu ke-2 yaitu 7,82Ωm.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in physics lessons are one of the main challenges in education. One of the reasons behind this low achievement is the lack of teaching materials available in schools. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes for the implementation of learning modules at SMA Negeri Arjasa. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample used was 60 students. The results showed that in class XI 2 that applied the Cramer rule, the average posttest result was 84.87 and the pretest result was 49.53. A similar thing was found in class XI 4 with an average posttest result of 86.9 which was better than the pretest result of 55.8. The increase was analyzed using the N-Gain Score through SPSS 25 to get an average of 0.7 including the high category. The learning outcomes of students who applied Cramer's rule and the inverse matrix method showed a better improvement compared to the learning outcomes of students before being treated with both methods in solving fixed pulley problems

Abstract

The critical thinking skills of education students need further enhancement. Critical thinking can be fostered through physics instruction using the case method, which links physics concepts to real-life situations. This approach is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills. Furthermore, in line with the needs of today's learners, integrating technology is essential. Lumio by SMART offers a dynamic platform to engage students, making learning more interactive and participatory. This descriptive study aimed to analyze students' critical thinking skills and their responses to the use of Lumio by SMART. The analysis was based on critical thinking skills scores and student feedback. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students' critical thinking skills, as evidenced by the increase in post-test scores compared to pretest scores. Additionally, student responses were overwhelmingly positive. These findings suggest that the use of the case method, enhanced by Lumio by SMART, is effective in improving critical thinking skills. Thus, educators should incorporate the case method in their teaching to develop critical thinking and other cognitive skills, while leveraging technology to boost student engagement.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the validity of the Physics Event Photo Analysis (AFKF) module based on the STEM approach and improve students' critical thinking skillsat SMA Negeri 1 Rogojampi. The researchers implemented the ADDIE development model to achieve these goals, which consisted of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collecting techniques used in this research were interviews, product validation, and tests. The validation results indicated that the product was feasible to use with a validity percentage of 93%. The percentages can be categorized as very valid and can be used without revision. Furthermore, the percentage of the product's effectiveness in improving students' critical thinking abilitywas 66.58% which was included in the medium category. The PhysBased on the STEM approach, the Event Photo Analysis Module (AFKF) based ed positive responses from students with a percentage of 76%.TThis development research concluded that the STEM approach-based Physics Event Photo Analysis (AFKF) module is very valid and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of science education can facilitate two key objectives: firstly, it can assist teachers in the creation of innovative teaching materials, and secondly, it can enhance the learning experience, making it more engaging and effective. A challenge arises when science teachers, MGMP IPA SMP Northern Region members of Jember, lack the requisite skills to utilize technology effectively. As a solution, teachers are provided with training in the development of AI-based media. The service activities were conducted using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, with the methods employed comprising lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and practical sessions accompanied by the presentation of results. The results of the service activities demonstrated that the participants exhibited a comprehensive understanding of the advantages of AI technology, demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a range of AI-based media, and exhibited the capacity to independently develop AI-based media. Consequently, it can be concluded that through this service activity, it is possible to facilitate changes in teachers' skills, particularly in their ability to utilize technology, with a particular focus on AI-based technologies.
