Abstract

This research is crucial in the context of the rising global prevalence of diabetes, a metabolic disorder that significantly affects public health. This study aims to determine the effect of salung leaf extract (Psychotria viridiflora) on blood glucose levels in hyperglycemic mice (Mus musculus). The study used 25 mice (Mus musculus) weighing 20-40 grams, divided into 5 treatment groups (P). Each group consisted of 5 mice, including a negative control, positive control, and three experimental groups with the administration of P. viridiflora extract at various doses (0.0112; 0.0225; and 0.0337 g/kgBW). Blood glucose measurements were conducted four times, on days 0, 6, 12, and 18, which included an initial glucose measurement, post-alloxan induction, and subsequent measurements after treatment. Among the three tested doses, the highest dose (0.0337 g/kg BW) proved to be the most effective in reducing blood sugar levels in alloxan-induced M. musculus, with effectiveness comparable to the standard drug Glibenclamide. Thus, the extract of P. viridiflora leaves shows strong potential as an alternative herbal antidiabetic therapy for M. musculus.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the need for the development and application of learning media as an effort to improve students' digital literacy. The research method carried out is the determination of keywords, namely "digital literacy competency education" and "journal" in the Publish or Perish (PoP) software as a research data source database with the Scopus database, resulting in 157 articles from 2014-2024 and obtaining 42 articles as samples in accordance with the keyword criteria. Meta-data analysis was carried out using Mendeley and VOSViewer to visualize a bibliographic network with research variables such as the year of publication of the article, the country of publication of the journal, the name of the author of the article, and the article with the most citations. The results of the analysis show that the development and application of learning media as an effort to improve students' digital literacy is indeed needed in supporting the learning process and can be an interesting alternative method to improve student academic achievement. In addition, the results of mapping analysis using VOSviewer show several themes about the use of comic-based physics learning media such as 'university student', 'application', 'role', 'scientific literacy', and 'effect' which are still rarely researched and become the latest themes in research. So it can be concluded that the development and application of learning media as an effort to improve students' digital literacy needs to be researched again.

Abstract

There is a need to measure the environmental literacy of secondary school students to promote awareness of environmental issues and provide sustainable solutions. Environmental literacy assessment is done using the UNESCO Criteria on Education and Culture Sustainable Development (ECSD). This study aimed to develop an automatic evaluation based on Artificial Intelligence (AABAI) to measure students’ environmental literacy in science subjects and environmental issues topics. This study uses the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data were examined through both quantitative and qualitative approaches using Item Response Theory (IRT). Content validity of the AABAI instrument was confirmed through Aiken’s V analysis, indicating acceptable validity levels. All test items were deemed valid based on the Rasch model, considering item fit and difficulty parameters. The AABAI instrument has been implemented in educational settings and has successfully provided a comprehensive overview of junior high school students’ environmental literacy profiles. The use of AABAI as a transformative assessment can ensure that students care more about the environment and maintain environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to develop feasible and practical ethnopedagogy-based Seni Dendang teaching materials to integrate character values at SDN South Bengkulu. Using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model, this research involved six expert validators (material, language, and media) and limited trials with teachers and fifth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and Likert-scale questionnaires, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using Aiken’s V index and the percentage agreement formula. Validation results showed a very high level of feasibility, with average scores of 0.86 from material experts (Highly Feasible), 0.83 from language experts (Highly Feasible), and 0.86 from media experts (Highly Feasible), with expert agreement reliability exceeding 81% (Very Strong). Field trial results demonstrated extraordinary practicality, with student responses reaching 97.71% and teacher responses at 98.33%. This study concludes that these character-based Seni Dendang teaching materials are effective and practical for use as a learning resource to enhance student character while systematically preserving local cultural identity in elementary schools. The significance of this research lies in its dual impact: practically, it provides a concrete solution to the deficit of contextually relevant learning resources by utilizing local wisdom as an active instrument for character building. Theoretically, it enriches the field of Educational Technology by demonstrating the successful integration of ethnopedagogy within the ADDIE framework to strengthen the national character values aligned with the Merdeka Belajar curriculum.
