Abstract

Teaching Arabic in Indonesia often challenges fostering practical language skills, particularly at Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and universities. The Language Immersion method, which involves intensively using the target language in natural situations, offers an appealing alternative to enhance Arabic proficiency. While several studies have discussed this method, there remains a gap in its systematic application in academic settings. This study aims to explore the approach and implementation of the Language Immersion method in Arabic teaching at UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember. It employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research locus is the Arabic Language Education Program at UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember, with lecturers and students as subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the language immersion method significantly improves Arabic students' speaking, reading, and listening skills. Through discussions, role-playing, and presentations, students learn contextually. However, challenges such as lecturer consistency, limited resources, and the need for Arabic-speaking environments outside the classroom must be addressed for optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of public administration service quality on economic growth in Parigi Village, Cikande District. A quantitative approach was used by measuring five dimensions of public service quality, namely reliability, responsiveness, confidence, empathy, and tangibility, based on the SERVQUAL model developed by Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Berry (1988). Data were collected through a questionnaire with 100 respondents who were users of administrative services in the village. The results show that the dimensions of reliability and responsiveness have a significant influence on the smooth running of community economic activities, especially in terms of completing administrative documents that support small and medium enterprises. The confidence dimension reflects a fairly high level of community trust in the competence and professionalism of service officers, although improvement is still needed in the aspect of technical knowledge. The empathy dimension shows that the community feels valued and cared for in the service, although individual attention to specific needs still needs to be improved. Meanwhile, the tangible dimension highlights the need to improve the comfort of physical facilities and the professionalism of officer appearance to support a better service experience. The conclusion of this study is that quality public administration services contribute significantly to economic growth in the country

Abstract

Purpose: The implementation of community service activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Key Performance Indicators (IKU), Asta Cita, and the National Research and Innovation Roadmap (RIRN) aims to reduce health risks associated with formalin-contaminated food, enhance public health awareness, strengthen practical understanding of the program application system, and increase knowledge related to formalin through structured training. These efforts contribute to the collective vision of achieving Indonesia Emas 2045. Design/Methodology/Approach: PKK members were positioned as community-based educators and facilitators in the prevention and control of formalin contamination in food products. Program effectiveness and efficiency were evaluated using a mixed-methods approach, including pre-test and post-test assessments, interviews, and direct observations. The program involved 17 PKK members who participated in training sessions on formalin removal techniques and the use of a formalin detection application. Findings: The evaluation results indicate a measurable improvement in participants’ knowledge following the training program. The average pre-test score increased from 78 to an average post-test score of 85 after participants received instruction on formalin reduction techniques in salted fish and the utilization of a web-based formalin detection application. Practical Implications: Formalin content in salted fish can be effectively reduced by soaking the product in warm water at a temperature of 40°C for 15 minutes. Formalin detection can be supported through the use of the gacor.web.id application, which facilitates early identification and community-level monitoring of food safety risks. Originality/Value: This program offers a practical, community-driven model for preventing and monitoring formalin contamination in food, integrating simple treatment methods with digital detection tools to strengthen food safety awareness at the grassroots level.

Abstract

The results of the 2022 PISA show a decline in Indonesian students' scientific literacy, necessitating innovation in learning media. This study aims to examine the effect of the Snakes and Ladders game on the scientific literacy of sixth-grade students at SDN 01 Tuguharum on the solar system. The Snakes and Ladders game was chosen because its visual, interactive, and rule-based nature is suitable for scientific concepts. The method used was quantitative with a Nonequivalent Control Group design. The sample consisted of 44 sixth-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through tests and documentation, then analyzed using instrument testing and hypothesis testing. The results showed that students in the experimental group scored higher than those in the control group (t = 11.99, p < 0.05), indicating that the Snakes and Ladders game media had a positive effect on students' scientific literacy. This finding contributes to improving students' ability to explain scientific phenomena. The implication is that Snakes and Ladders can serve as a practical and engaging alternative to science education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Apotik hidup merupakan salah satu pemanfaatan lahan kosong untuk dibudidayakan tumbuhan yang berkhasiat untuk kesehatan sehari hari. Mayoritas mata pencaharian masyarakat desa Brumbungan Lor adalah sebagai petani, tetapi masih banyak masyarakatnya yang belum mengenal dan memanfaatkan tanaman sebagai apotik hidup. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumah sebagai media penanaman tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA), sekaligus mendukung ketahanan kesehatan berbasis lokal. Pelaksanaan program ini mencakup penanaman yang terdiri dari beberapa tanaman herbal/toga, manfaatnya bagi kesehatan, serta teknik budidaya yang mudah diterapkan di lingkungan rumah tangga. Dengan pendekatan partisipatif, masyarakat dilibatkan secara aktif dalam seluruh tahapan kegiatan, mulai dari persiapan lahan, penanaman, hingga perawatan tanaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa program budidaya apotek hidup mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait pemanfaatan tanaman herbal sebagai alternatif pengobatan mandiri. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berpotensi menciptakan lingkungan desa yang lebih hijau, sehat, dan produktif. Dengan keberlanjutan pemeliharaan tanaman oleh warga, program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu upaya nyata dalam mendukung pola hidup sehat, kemandirian kesehatan keluarga, serta meningkatkan nilai estetika dan ekonomi lingkungan di Desa Brumbungan Lor.

Abstract

STEAM based learning using loose parts media is an effective approach to stimulate the development of critical thinking in early childhood. This descriptive qualitative study aims to analyze the implementation of STEAM at RA Dian Insani and its contribution to the development of critical thinking in children aged 5-6 years. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation using instruments based on critical thinking indicators. The results of the study indicate that STEAM activities in the natural materials center, preparation center, and art center enable children to explore the stages of thinking from LOTS to HOTS. Teachers play an important role as facilitators who provide exploratory and meaningful learning experiences. Based on these findings, STEAM learning using loose parts media has been proven to develop children's critical thinking, as children demonstrate the ability to analyze, evaluate, and create through the use of various loose parts materials, both natural and artificial. This study emphasizes the importance of integrative, contextual learning designs that are centered on children's direct experiences.

Abstract

Penggunaan sumber belajar yang bervariatif dapat membantu kegiatan pembelajaran menjadi efektif, efisien dan menyenangkan bagi peserta didik. Hasil wawancara dengan pendidik mata pelajaran Biologi diperoleh data bahwa sumber belajar yang biasa atau sering digunakan dalam pembelajaran Biologi, khususnya pada materi Fungi adalah buku paket dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS). Hasil wawancara dengan peserta didik diperoleh data bahwa peserta didik membutuhkan sumber belajar tambahan yang bervariatif, menarik, banyak terdapat gambar berwarna dan kontekstual dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan, menganalisis kelayakan dan menganalisis respon pendidik serta peserta didik terhadap produk yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development and Evaluation). Subjek ujicoba pada penelitian ini yaitu satu orang pendidik dan sembilan orang peserta didik kelas XI IPA MA Mathla`ul Anwar, Tulang Bawang. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi produk oleh ahli materi dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali, diperoleh persentase skor akhir sebesar 88%, termasuk kategori “Sangat layak”, sedangkan hasil validasi ahli sumber belajar dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, diperoleh persentase skor akhir sebesar 92%, termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat layak”. Hasil respon pendidik diperoleh persentase skor sebesar 87%, termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat layak” dan hasil respon peserta didik diperoleh persentase skor sebesar 84%, termasuk kategori “Sangat layak”. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian kelayakan diperoleh persentase rata-rata skor sebesar 87,75%, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa produk ensiklopedia berbasis Anyflip pada materi Fungi yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran Biologi.
